Had a blast seeing #Afroman at The Forge. I have seen some other hiphop shows there. Staff was very nice and friendly, acoustics were great, opening acts were great, And the drinks were poured up poetically. They have great live music in Joliet, located in Downtown Joliet. Showed up for a 6:30 show. We were told doors opened at 6. 18 degrees outside and they made their patrons stand outside in the cold. Staff laughed and waved at us while we stood outside in the cold. Total power trip. Why not open the doors and let people mingle and order drinks. You lost money! What is the point of making everyone stand outside in frigid temperatures. Once we were finally allowed to enter the show was postponed a full hour while they did sound checks. So unprofessional. First and hopefully last time I'll ever go to this place. My wife and i went to see George Lamond and he didnt perform after 5 Dj's played. All Dj's talked over songs NEVER AGAIN. That annoying host short guy with the dark glasses that talks and sings over songs needs a new life cause he is chasing clout hard as hell. I went to the Forge in Joliet, IL on February 5th to see Superfly Redneck and Lyn Skynnyrd at approximately 8:00 in the evening. Beforehand I went online to purchase tickets. The way the website is set up is very deceptive. It leads you to believe there are various sectioned off seating areas at different price ranges. That is not the case. I had to buy two tickets. I bought a $30 in Section F10 according to the website seating diagram and it wouldn't allow me to buy two, only one. I couldn't change my mind once I bought the ticket. They had me. All Sales are Final. So I bought two $20 tickets supposedly for Section C according to the website seating diagram. I tried to phone several times to ask questions but nobody answered. So I arrive there the evening with my three over priced tickets for two people only to find out it's general admission. You can stand anywhere you want. There really is no seating. Just some benches off to the side and random tables without chairs. So I could have enjoyed the same show for $13 per ticket when I paid $86.60!!! Don't be fooled into overpaying with this scam, buy general admission!! I tried contacting the ticket company and spoke to Maria who told me no refunds and there was a seating arrangement on the website. It is a fake seating diagram do not fall for it!! I would not advise anyone to go here!! It is a dump. read more

Place is small, unorganized, not enough security for the show I went to. Bought a vip package with early entry, first security guard said line was outside. They had us waiting outside in the cold rain. Then another security guy said no we were supposed to be in the sapphire room. Went to the sapphire room it was packed with general admission and vips. There ended up being two lines to get in to the venue. VIP never got early entry. read more

it's a great venue! but the staff suckkkk! i went to a show here in january, it was freezing outside and raining! and everyone in my line who had vip AND EARLY ENTRY had to stand and wait outside for like 2 hours! while people over 21 got to sit and wait in the warm bar inside upstairs! and we got told by staff that since we were waiting in the cold for so long, we got to go inside before the people upstairs did! THAT WAS THE BIGGEST LIE! they let all the people upstairs in first and THEN they let us in! and when we brought this to their attention they just said they couldn't do anything about it?? and i'm not complaining about my spot or anything it was fine but it was extremely rude when we had early entry and had been standing outside in the freezing rain for 2 hours and then we didn't even get in first. read more

This is a great venue in Joliet to see a live concert. We have been to the venue several times in the past. This last visit on 3/29/19 to see Aron Hadon & Hairbangers Ball the service was awesome. If I could give a negative review I would. And it would all be thanks to Sara Nelson. My best friend booked her after party with the Forge six months before her wedding. Not only did she have a verbal contract, she had in writing from Sara Nelson that the times and dates were all correct and that we had the room booked. This terrible woman called my friend the night before her wedding to CANCEL her after party. Except she didn't even have the decency to speak directly with the bride. Instead she left a voicemail and refuse to answer any texts or phone calls calling her back. What an actual joke. Can't believe that this is how you have your managers run your business I will make sure that every single person I know is aware of this situation. I will leave reviews on BBB as well as in every single forum that mentions your company's name. The lack of respect and professionalism is the exact reason why I will be doing this. You cost my best friend THOUSANDS of dollars in rebooking as well as emotional distress as she literally sobbed the whole night. You guys are lucky we don't sue. But big shout out to Sara Nelson for being the biggest joke and most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with in my entire life. read more

I love this place! The food is so good and they just changed the lunch menu. Definitely one of the best places to stop for lunch in downtown Joliet. I had a BLT and the Fire Fries. Both were delicious and I had to bring home half of my sandwich because I was already full. read more

Great concert venue in the suburbs. The place is large and clean. The bands we saw (including Theory of a Deadman) sounded great in a nice intimate setting. Many all ages shows too. Would highly recommend checking this place out. read more

This place does not care about the customers. They will double book shows. They are completely ok with your experience being terrible as long as they feel like they've already made their money off of you. When you point it out on FB they delete it and act like nothing happened. Go to any show here at your own risk. They many have double booked and your show might be the one they intentionally screw over. read more

The food was tasty, but the service is horrible! The doors were to open at 6 o'clock and show start at 6:30. The show started around 7:15-7:30 (which isn't too bad) because they opened the door for patrons around 6:45. I'm not certain if it was the manager or owner but he is rude and disrespectful. I was there to see my nephew perform. He was to perform at 10 o'clock but was not allowed back in (9:45 p.m.) because he passed a black and mild to someone on the other side of the gate. What kind of crap is that! Right before he was to perform... I can see if he was belligerent, intoxicated, disrespectful, but this wasn't the case. Prior to this one of the group member was asked to leave because he allegedly was disrespectful to the owner. What makes him think he can speak to someone any kind of way and one not respond. We (group of 12) spent hundreds of dollars there, waited over three hours, and not be able to see him perform. Go at your own risk. As I stated before, the food is tasty. If you drink - you are better off drinking before getting there because you don't get your money's worth. Last but not least, be sure to wear comfortable shoes due to limited seating. read more

There was a mix-up with some show tickets (I was sent tickets for the wrong date after a show was already rescheduled) which left me pretty pissed off. The management and the staff went truly above and beyond to salvage my night with my girlfriend (free drinks, offered us tickets for another show, the staff promised to call the ticket company on my behalf). Came here with family and had a relaxing daytime experience. Sean was our bartender/server. You can tell his experience based on his efficiency and memory of our order. We had 7 people in our party and he went off the top of his head with our drinks and snack order. The floors were a bit sticky, but it's anticipated with being in a bar. Worst venu I have ever attended. The stage does not allow for good preformer-audience interaction. The concert began at 7 and we were given no information about when what artist was playing. At 10:30 We were told that the headliner was in the building, were stalled for another hour and half, and then informed he would not perform. A week later and I have not heard back from them about a refund that I was promised. I live in Chicago so the 2 hours of driving to and from the venu on top of the cancelation completely ruined my Saturday night. Would not recommend attending a show at the forge. read more

Attended the Anthrax show last night... was having a decent time my husband and I went to the smoking area to smoke and was told by security that that area was shut down due to bands either hauling in or out gear.. k no problem she tells us to go out back... here's where it all went down hill..somehow we ended up walking through a kitchen to a back door there is a security guy there we tell him what we were told he's cool with it we walk out smoke he lets us back in.. I see the band and I'm like ok I get my phone out and some dude with a horrible case of "little man syndrome " approaches my husband and I screaming and cussing at us who are you why are you hear who do you know and so on... I am a confrontational person and when I'm approached in such manner I give it right back so then I'm cursing and screaming back at the guy... he tells me he doesn't like my attitude and this escalated out the back door where 3 security guys jump on my husband and start beating on him..then here comes little man yelling and screaming at me again... 1st off had security been doing their jobs we wouldn't have ended up back there to begin with..2nd the little dude that has seen roadhouse 1 too many times needs to be fired before he gets the place sued..my husband is not a violent person or a fighter for that matter he was not in anyway showing any signs of aggression tward these men and they beat him to the ground anyway...
