Ordered two 4 foot torpedos for a party and boy were they huge! Samantha who took my order was very friendly! Plenty of sauce was given and they were gigantic! Will definitely use them again in the future read more

Sand which would have been great if they had put mayonnaise (like they said), on it instead of salad dressing, incredibly disappointed

In town for baseball at Lewis University looking for Subway or Jimmy John's for lunch. Found Submarine City...what a find! Great service and even better subs. read more

Love platters from Sub City. Such great folks in there. Thanks for supporting the community!

Best sub shop in Lockport! Staff is amazing and always friendly, they are quick and the food is always a 10/10!

Food was good at a decent price. Nice variety of subs with fresh toppings. We bought a bag of bread that was fresh.

First time there. Service was friendly, helpful and quick, and the food was very good. Looking forward to going back.

It was okay, I had the Torpedo. The bread was okay although I like mine chewier. The special sauce I thought was a little bland. It had the right amount of meat in it. I thought it was better than Mr. Submarine. Will I be back? Just moved to the area so I have a lot of other places to try. read more

Skip it, unfortunately. I think the high reviews are from intoxicated people during the night. Wed 140 pm. Ordered roast beef. There is barley a slice, on what is definitely day old bread. With the fries (frozen, deep fried) the cost was $14. I was told $1 more for a "meal" (can of pop). Pictures uploaded. Even subway gives more meat. Bummer. People are very nice. read more

5 star hot dog. Pretty decent fries Jumbo dogs here would be a great next step. Good luck with the business read more

I will fight a bear in the name of Sub City. Extra sauce for life. Cheese fries. RC cola. If you don't like it, you're the one who sucks.

A local place, that serves more than sub sandwiches, gyros, hotdogs, Italian beef, burgers, are some of the items available, Basic dining area if you are dining in All seating is booths. RC products served plus other canned and bottled beverages. A very nice variety of favorites. read more

I got the king size cheese sub and a couple hours after eating I threw up, prices are ridiculously high.

Tonight we ordered from this place. I ordered a hot roast beef sandwich with Sub sauce that was delivered cold without sauce. My husband ordered a cold torpedo with sauce that was served hot without sauce. Our garlic butter fries were awesome, but not going to order from them again. read more

Great subs and great owners, if you are in the area and want a quick bite, definitely stop by.

It is not very nice inside but the food makes up for it I got a chili cheese themed meal that was chili cheese fries and a chili cheese dog it was so good I got a large chili cheese fry and almost finished it so that's why I give it a 5 star read more

I judge a book by its cover. I wouldn't have walked into Submarine City if it weren't for my husband. When he's hungry. He's hungry. Sandwiched between a liquor store and a poster store, this joint is your typical late night diner. Any place that has a "Deep from our Fryer" section in their menu means business. (Fried mushrooms, cheese sticks, poppers, pizza puffs...) We ordered the turkey with mayo ($4.45). Didn't expect much but was surprised by a delicious sub on soft chewy Turano bread. They went a little heavy on the mayo, so make sure to tell them to take it easy. Staff here was incredibly friendly. When we ordered the fried mushrooms ($2.25) that comes with a side of ranch they gladly substituted marinara sauce for us. Then when I made a face after eating a shroom, one of the guys behind the counter asked if I wanted the ranch instead. I said no thanks, I just burned my mouth with the fried mushroom. read more

I ordered for takeout. Ordered fries to go and there was a black curly hair wrapped around a fry. Grossed out. Had to stop eating and throw out my sandwhich and the rest of my fries. read more

I been going going here for over 20 years from the time l live on the East Side of Joliet to the time I live in Aurora by fox valley mall and now that I live in Crest Hill. LOVE the rip tips dinner. Always have a good experience read more

Came in late tonight to get the "depth charge" sandwich and some fries. Off to a good start when the gentlemen behind the counter were far friendlier than I'm used to for late-night food places. In addition, I accidentally gave an extra $5 bill when I was paying, stuck to another one, and the man at the register was honest enough to give it back to me (I would hope for honesty, but it's nice to see it like that). French fries: Excellent. Crunchy outside, soft inside. Depth charge: Excellent. Lots of meat, quality ingredients, not skimpy like lesser sub shops. Verdict: Best late night food in Lockport. read more

I have frequently visited this fine establishment. The cuisine is exquisite!! The pizza puff was cooked to perfection, the fries were amazing!! The pop machine has all the latest favs like upper 10. My friend Scott Sichta will be having this fine establishment cater his wedding!! Bravo! Bravo! read more

Food is pretty good but I shouldn't have to pay $20 for a sub sandwich and a side with a drink. Also last night I ordered cheese sticks to upgrade from my french fries and got charged for both. read more

Power went out as soon as we ordered, it was horribly hot. They tired to tell me that my sandwich was warmed up in an oven that had no electricity. It was dirty too. I asked a question about a sandwich and I unfortunately could not understand the gentleman due to a horrifically thick accent. No name brand soda either. Very disappointing. read more

Great food, consistent, friendly staff. My go to for quality sandwich in the area. Recently catered for the 4th of July, really easy set up for the party and it was a huge hit. Everyone loved it and will definitely be ordering again! read more

I was asked by the owner (Nicholas G) to give him another chance, as he must of been having an off day. I agreed to give him this chance. I will pop in this weekend and get my favorite sub, and I will write an honest report on my experience. Good or bad, I will be honest and forthright with my review. I really, really want to like this shop, I LOVE subs, and it's so close to my home, and next door to my favorite comic book shop. read more

Very good food, prices and service. I got a certificate from local flavor and got the gyro, cheese sticks and torpedo sub. Everything was very tasty and fresh. The man working there was very kind and helpful when checking out. Everything was done quickly and delicious. Would recommend. read more

Been going to Submarine City for over 20 years, and this location for the last 10. Subway, Jimmy John's, Firehouse, Jersey Mike's can all eat a bag of nuts compared to this place. Bread is fresh daily, meats are sliced constantly, veggies are prepped in the crisper and the oil is clean and hot in the fryer. Depth Charge is the bomb sandwich-wise and their fries and fried cheese cubes will help you with your pending hangover. They're open til 4am some nights, too read more

This place has great food especially the drinks. I'm loving it !!

The current workers as of 3:32pm today. Microwave your chicken pita sandwhich which is still cold. Give you 22 fries and 1 burnt pita in a gyro plate. Really gone down hill. Tried to call in the order and the line has been busy for an hour.. nobody was on the phone when I walked in and tried calling again inside the location. read more

Came here for the first time. The lady at the register had no personality. I ordered a king combo and and cheese fry(minus the hair). I took the fries to the counter and told her there was a hair and she grabbed them and tossed them. Didn't say a word! From the same batch of fries she gave me another order and tossed them on the counter. I will not be coming back here. Maybe next time the city needs to come out check up making sure the employees have their hair in a net vs hanging out of a hat. read more

Each Submarine City I visit (other than the Joliet location) seems to be worse than the last. This one was no exception. The meat on the sub was minimal and the mayo tasted funny. What's worse, my Girlfriend ordered her sub "hot". When it didn't come that way, they just took the whole sub, lettuce, tomato, and all and shoved it in the microwave for about 20 seconds. mmmmmmm, wilted lettuce. Disgusting! read more

Love this place. Only get there every few years or so when visiting family out in that neck of the woods. Used to live closer and go more frequently. The Torpedo with everything is my favorite. The Regular size is adequate for most appetites I would say. I can't imagine how large the King size must be. They always have great fries. Nowadays they're crinkle style. What might be most awesome is that they have grape soda at the self-serve fountain machine. Grape! Unbelievable. They also have Root Beer and RC Cola. Difficult decision for me! Very friendly, polite staff. read more

A plus for late-night, quick eats. Extensive menu of mostly subs and fried food. Friendly staff and fresh food.

Ate the Torpedo sandwich and a few hours later it made me very sick, mediocre food and kind of pricey for what you get. Don't recommend at all, unless you want to get sick. read more
