I LOVE THE FLOWER BUCKET! They have exceeded any of my expectations for a floral shop. I initially found the Flower Bucket by a simple Google search. I needed flowers for my sister's birthday. While they are still open for business, their actual store is closed. However, they bring the flowers right out to your car! I don't mind going inside to pick things up, but it's super convenient of them to bring it out! Amy and her team are SOOO nice and kind. I cannot say enough good things about the Flower Bucket. Every single bouquet that I've picked up has been beautiful. They currently have a $10 bouquet special and they are just GORGEOUS. You wouldn't even think that they were only $10! I highly recommend the Flower Bucket!! read more

Ordered flowers for this past Valentine's Day, and my wife never received her flowers and when I emailed for a refund no answer back and when I called three times they said they had to get a hold of the florist that was in my area. What a horrible experience especially because my wife had no flowers on Valentine's Day. read more

Love to find new shops on Burnet Rd and this one had garnered many favorable reviews. I went to their website, theflowerbucketaustin.com, called the shop, discussed some choices, placed an order with pick up time 5 days later, and that was that. Only that was not that. When I got ready for pickup, my GPS mapped "The Flower Bucket" to another address entirely. It would have been helpful to know ahead of time that there is no longer a Flower Bucket. There is, however, a Charlotte's Fiesta Flowers. And it IS on Burnet. About the flowers. I ordered a beautiful orchid corsage. On the website, it showed two very pretty and very full fuchsia orchids with ornamentation, but what I received was one very tiny orchid without much extra flair at all. Upon request, the staff was willing to make reasonable adjustments by adding more flowers (white rose) and greenery. About the shop. I am more than willing to give them a second chance. Although I was grouchy, the people are nice, the store has a great vibe, and who doesn't love a brindle Boxer who comes up and leans on you, just when you need it the most? read more

These guys are fantastic! I'm an Office Manager who needed to deliver a bouquet of flowers to an employee on the day of a funeral and--after another florist FLAKED and left me hanging--The Flower Bucket made it happen. It was an outstanding experience from the minute Christy answered the phone... Their customer service service was above and beyond. Amy was very helpful! You can tell these guys appreciate their business and take their relationship with their customers seriously. My only regret is that I didn't call them first! I will 100% be contacting them again. They earned my loyalty. I highly recommend them. read more

***Update*** The Flower Bucket called me and offered a full refund and also sent my mom a new bouquet of flowers. Very pleased with their customer support and quick efforts to rectify the situation. That says a lot about a business so I'm changing my rating to four stars instead of one. Original Review: I have never been so disappointed in a florist. My elderly mother fell and was hospitalized and in a lot of pain. So, I wanted to send her a big beautiful bouquet of flowers. I spent approximately $100 (I ordered the Premium bouquet)from the Flower Bouquet. A day later I visited my mom and saw the floral arrangement first hand. I could not believe that these were supposed to be a "Premium" $100 floral arrangement! It looked like a $20 or $30 arrangement. Absolutely nothing special. Will never use Flower Bucket again. I've use Alff's for years and have never been disappointed but wanted to give the Flower Bucket a try. Well, I learned my lesson. Back to Alff's for my floral needs. Here's a photo of the floral arrangement so read more

Man, I really wanted to love this place but my flowers really didn't turn out the way I thought they would. When I met with Samantha back in August my family and I really liked her. She was very warm and professional. We ordered a bridal bouquet, a toss bouquet, 3 bridesmaids bouquets, 5 boutonnieres, and 2 corsages. This came out to $509 which I thought was a little steep, but not unusual for the "wedding markup." The day of the wedding (December 7th) when I walked in and saw the flowers waiting for me at the venue, I was pretty disappointed. The $175 bouquet was WAY smaller than I expected and its not like I picked extravagant flowers. There were tulips, gerber daisies, a few white roses, and a hydrangea with my own brooches stuck in here and there. The tulips were sticking way up out of the cluster and looked funny. I even considered cutting them apart and super gluing them down into the cluster where they should have been. The $50 red rose toss bouquet had FIVE roses and some baby's breath and berries in it. Had I known they were charging me $10 a stem I would have never agreed to that insanity. The boutonnieres did not come out like the photos I brought in showing what I wanted. They did not have the variety of different green leaves like I expected. It was mostly berries and babies breath with one green leaf. The corsages were way smaller than what I expected to get for $35 a piece. They were made of white carnations which is pretty much the cheapest flower out there. I expected more than just a few tiny ones for that price. The positive things I can say are that everything was fresh and well constructed. Nothing fell apart during the night or ever looked wilted. The flowers were pretty, but not what I had imagined in size for what I paid. I'm really sad the flowers turned out this way and I'm left feeling this way after having such a positive impression back in August. I was really thinking I was going to be writing a glowing review for Flower Bucket after the wedding, but my expectations were not met. read more

Stay away unless you like your flowers delivered a day late and a dollar short. As most of us are nowadays, I have started my return to office for work and my birthday was this past Monday 4/4. As I would never expect to receive flowers to the office from my wife, she decided to try and provide me a big surprise with all our C suite leaders in office I think it is important to note a he ordered and plan for this over a week ago, so this is definitely not a last minute story. Well after a busy day I headed home at 5pm and called my wife as I was heading home. She kept probing me and asking me questions on did anything special happen to me today. Well after several no's she told me that she tried to have flowers sent and didn't know what happened. Hearing that truly upset me but not knowing what happen I was still a bit in awe. Then I noticed a missed text from an unknown number and apparently it was Bill from the flower bucket telling me to come to the bottom floor asap as he does not have "elevator access"!?! Well we don't have badge access elevates are we share building space with others so he could have easily rode up the elevator and delivered them to our front desk. But no instead he left. Well I received them the next day (today) and when I spoke to my wife to see if she got her money refunded she said no, they just sent her back $10 and sorry it was late. Extremely unacceptable and horrible approach for any business to take by not putting themselves in the customer shoes. This wasn't a late happy meal, this was a genuine gesture that was only meant for one day and you fumbled the ball completely and refused to make it right. Not to mention who delivers flowers to an office building after 4?! Here is the actual text from this company "Have flower delivery for Brian Trumbull at 11001 Lakeline blvd ste 200. In lobby now. No elevator access. Please contact me asap. Thanks. Bill, The Flower Bucket" Save yourself the trouble and stay away! read more

My company had an excellent experience with The Flower Bucket Austin. Their service was above and beyond, and Marlana was particularly helpful. We had a pretty complicated request: we're based in NY, but wanted to send a plant, along with some other goodies, to an Austin-based company. We had everything delivered to TFB, and then they packaged and delivered it to our gift recipient. We even got a photo showing how beautifully everything came together. What a seamless experience - highly recommend them! read more

I have stopped in to get a bouquet now twice, totally off the cuff with no call ahead. The ladies at TFB have been extremely kind and helpful and produced absolutely stunning bouquets for me. I have given minimal direction in what I want, just a price ballpark and maybe a color I like. I'm not the flower expert, they are, so I like to let them be creative. For both arrangements I have been blown away, as have the recipients of the bouquets. The feedback that I've received, is that the flowers really lasted longer than typically expected. I do think that TFB may be on the pricier side, but these aren't your average grocery store bouquets. Don't get me wrong, I love those too, but these just look more elegant. Kicking myself for not taking photos! Ohh and they have BEAUTIFUL plants! read more

The Flower Bucket is so great and easy to work with! We got the most BEAUTIFUL wreath for my coffee shop downtown and had so many comments on it! Kristi was speedy in delivering it and helped create the perfect piece for our space! Thank you thank you! read more

You all really helped me so much. I called explaining my little nephew had passed away unexpectedly the day before and I was searching for a florist to make him a deserving floral arrangement with his mother's favorite flowers -- yellow roses with red edges - not easy to come by on short notice. No one else had them, tried to find them, or could make a full cross or heart arrangement on such short notice. These gals worked magic within hours and had a gorgeous heart arrangement with banner and a teddy bear all the way to Pflugerville in time for his viewing. I've never lost a family member that was so young. I was distraught and desperate to do something special for him and my sister-in-law. The Flower Bucket team listened, helped, and delivered. The Flower Bucket - Florists Near Me - Austin, Texas

The first call came in from Mom, while I was at Eddie V's downing martinis and savoring crab cakes. "What's a good florist?" she asked. As luck would have it, I was at one of Keri B.'s Happy Hour gatherings, so she hit the Yelp jackpot. "Flower Bucket" came up twice. In keeping with the "Buy Local" initiative of the wedding, Mom and Dad knew they wanted flower arrangements for the reception from a solid, reputable Austin florist. The second call from Mom came a couple days later, while I was downing Gentlemen Jack and savoring Whataburger on N's floor. 'What was the name of that florist again?" N chimed in that there was always Flower Bucket. "FLOWER BUCKET!" I may have yelled. Time and circumstance prevented me from having the pleasure of visiting the Flower Bucket itself. Mom literally doesn't know how to turn on a computer, and Dad literally doesn't have the time to sit down and write a review himself, so they both implored me to do it for them. Durr. Hold on, let me see if I can catch one of them at work/Lilly Pulitzer to remind me of the details. You can guess which one is where. One sec... OK. I'm sorry; Mom was at Dillard's...in the Lilly Pulitzer section. My mistake. Here's what I got: she spoke with Nick on the phone at first, and Nick was also the contact for the initial consultation. At some point during the discussion, Ralph the owner joined in. Mom said both of them were friendly, professional, and did a flawless job transforming her initial vision into a reality. Each centerpiece was featured in a low, square, very modern vase. Guests were treated to a gorgeous burst of color, which included large roses in both fuchsia and orange, hydrangeas, dahlias (which were special ordered), baby calla lilies, and the unique cocks comb in deep fuchsia. The filler was a bright lime green and each centerpiece featured a large leaf folded over for that perfect finish. Ralph said that the mix of traditional and exotic flowers would be excellent conversation pieces, and indeed, they were. The flowers were delivered on time and undamaged to the venue, and they were absolutely beautiful. And I totally took one home. 5 Stars for The Flower Bucket! You came out smelling like a rose. read more

I called the Flower Bucket for a last minute custom order lei that a group of my family members chipped in to purchase. Considering it was UT graduation weekend I figure I'd take my chances here than a grocery store. I should have gone to the grocery store. The lady did well on completing the order quickly but it was not pretty. She claimed she did her best and it was the first time she had ever made a lei but she was happy with it. The carnations were ok because that's what they had on hand. Understandable. She also included orchids which I found a few but you really had to dig for them. The carnations lasted a couple days but the orchids died that night. She also put in leaves but the placement and size made the whole lei ugly. The leaves were huge and they stuck out oddly. A few days later I called and discussed with her the dissatisfaction the group of us felt about the final product. I asked her to work with me. She stated that usually when they have a lei order, it's prepackaged by her distributor. She either buys them as is or it's a kit with instructions to put it together. I would say if that's the case, then she's a beginner not an experienced lei maker and she shouldn't have agreed to the project. The product was definitely over priced. In any case, before this discussion about our dissatisfaction, she was a lovely person. After I brought up my issues with her, she become very defensive and stubborn. After a long phone call, she said she would think about it and call me back. She never called me back. I called a few times but had no response. I really didn't want a full refund (which I didn't get which is fine) but just a professional conversation about her decision on whether or not she would work with me. Instead I was ignored. The customer service post sale is just as important as pre-sale, even if your answer is no. So, expensive lesson learned but once is enough. read more

horrible customer service. my husband ordered flowers to be delivered on our anniversary.. 2 days later i noticed mold on the flowers so i called the company and they offered to pick up the old flowers and deliver new flowers. the new flowers delivered were half the size of what i originally got so i called them back to let them know. the driver took back both deliveries (my original and the new one) since i was going out of town they said they would re-deliver it when i got back. i never received another delivery so i called them back and they said my name was flagged cuz they sent flowers 2x and they would not be delivering anymore. they said that i needed to call whoever i placed the order with. makes no sense why they would tell me im getting a re-delivery then tell me i need to call the main company. oh btw the driver that had delivered my flowers had been at my property before trying to deliver an arrangement that he dropped on my parking lot (which he left the glass all over the parking lot) and picked up and just threw into a vase he had in his trunk. it looked like crap. so i called the company to tell then bkoz that would be a bad representation of their company.. but nooo i shouldve let it go cuz look at how they act now. DO NOT ORDER UR FLOWERS FROM THIS AWFUL COMPANY. WAY TO RUIN AN ANNIVERSARY! BTW PICTURES ARE INCLUDED SINCE NOW THEYRE SAYING IM LYING. read more

What ever happened to quality control? How about caring that you do your job well? A sweet, sweet friend gives me flowers every birthday. May 13th rolls around and low and behold, there is a floral delvery person at the door. Staff interaction aside, the flowers included the arrangement notes left for the person making the bouquet. Simple carelessness. However, the note specified that the arrangement was missing "white daisy poms" and to add them before delivery. Also on the note was a statement to reject the order if it could not be filled. Well, they filled it half-assed and gave it to me with the note so I knew how half-assed it was. My true opinion is that they earn 2 stars, however, my birthday falls nears Mother's Day--- likely one of the busiest flower holidays. That said, I can understand that the Flower Bucket and other floral stores must have been very busy for a few weeks and low on materials from the holiday rush. That doesn't excuse them, rather, explains the situation. Shouldn't inventory records prevent from overcommitting to orders you can't fill? Meh, I wish you the best, Flower Bucket. Pro Tip: take a final look at what you've done to prevent these simple oversights. read more

I ordered a delivery to a state office building and they tried to deliver after 5:00. Now this was of course on the busy flower day of Groundhog day, but it seems like they could have managed to get it there prior to 5pm since it isn't likely you will find anyone there after 5. I don't buy flowers every day, but always always always I bought from this company. Way back in the mid 90s I went to their office on S Lamar and they always wowed me with their selection and arrangements. Called this morning to order going-away flowers for a beloved staff member. Ordering took a while, not sure why. The person seemed annoyed with their system, and I tried to commiserate, but I'll bet that I sounded less than enthusiastic by the end. Still, we got it done. Received confirmation email and card was charged at 953 AM. My office is central Austin, 2 miles from downtown. I asked for no later than 4 PM delivery because after that point - she's gone! I told the person that money was not an issue, please just make something memorable. The quality of the arrangements has always been outstanding. Near the end of the day I realized that the flowers had not arrived- it was a busy day. I called and no attempt was made to rush something over, they asked for the person's home address. The whole point was for it to be at the office and celebrate them here. What's really infuriating is that I told the person taking the order that my co-worker had a terrible experience with 1800 Flowers yesterday. I told them how if you wanted it done right, you'd call and talk to a person locally - that's what I thought I was doing. Nope. read more

Tried the Flower Bucket for this Valentine's Day. My coworker had 3 bouquets to send out and had this place recommended. First impression - Nice arrangements, not the run of the mill stuff, very creative. The planters or vases are also different and not all just tan or black ceramic vases. They have many plants and flowers I haven't seen at other florists. Shipping them around the US was not a problem at all and customizing the arrangements was easy. The staff here is super friendly and accomodating, just a pleasure to do business with. Fabulous. I used this company for my wedding. I first talked to Always-and-Forever-Florist up north. I was completely put off. The consultant spent more time bragging then helping. She put down what I liked telling me things like its silly to have loose flower pedals, a bride should choose the colors of the wedding based on the bridesmaid dresses and not the bridesmaid dresses based on the colors. Personally, I think she was missing a chromosome and was not quite sure how she was so successful (if I recall, she was the owner but I may be mistaken). So I asked around and was told to check out the flower bucket. Told the guy my ideas, what I wanted, asked for his opinion. He said no problem. He did what he said. Everything turned out just perfect. read more

What a wonderful little shop with great customer service. The Flower Bucket really helped me out in a pinch. It was the day before my bridal portrait and I realized it had not even occurred to me that I needed a bouquet. What a flake! Anyway, I called and they were very helpful on the phone and made a beautiful bouquet. It was just what I had imagined in my mind and very reasonably priced. When I picked it up, they had it in a vase with cool water and put in a special box so it wouldn't tip over in the car. I received flowers for my birthday from Flower Bucket on Monday afternoon, just 3 days ago: gerber daisies, snapdragons and pink roses. It's now Thursday morning and all flowers have died except for the pink roses. I've had gerber daisies last up to two weeks. They have a much longer life than 3 days. 1-2 of the daisies only lasted TWO days. Needless to say, I threw out all the flowers this morning---all but the pink roses. This is the 2nd time in a year's time I've had a bad experience with the Flower Bucket. Very disappointed, esp. for my sister who spent good money to surprise me for my birthday. Way to go Flower Bucket! I will never use them and I will let others know of my bad experience also. These flowers were old when they sent them on Monday------and you know they had to have known that. If they didn't, even worse. Thumbs down. 4/10/14 at 2:40p---I would like to add a P.S. to this review. methinks not to say the least! this place has gone steadily downhill since the new owner took over. my boyfriend and i both used to enjoy the floral arrangements from the bucket, but lately the product has been less than impressive, especially for the price. the owner himself, who i have had the displeasure of meeting twice now, is a real piece of work. my boyfriend has told me that when he ordered in person, the owner flirted shamelessly with him, making him somewhat uncomfortable. the last straw though was when i went in to grab a few fresh flowers after work, and he was having an argument with another displeased customer. he actually cussed at her and told her to go to HEB if she didn't like what he did for her! well, i definitely will be going to HEB or whole foods from now on. better product at a better price and less risk of being offended or made completely uncomfortable. too bad... i love to support local businesses. read more

By 1/14/17, half of the roses were dying and the other la were moldy. Unfortunately, my husband did not get to call them as he went out of town. I have had flowers from HEB last longer. I am highly disappointed in this flower shop and the arrangement I received. A few friends from work ordered flowers for our boss's wife. I asked for an $86 arrangement to be ready within an hour. When we got there I got a $50 arrangement that was thrown together. When I asked the kind lady how much she thought this was worth, she said maybe $60. I kindly informed her that we paid $86 for these, and she pointed us to the gentleman we ordered from. He began getting an attitude informing me how they price their flowers and wouldn't let me speak. When I informed him that he wasn't even listening to me, he got an even bigger attitude and told me that he I was being rude, when I simply told him my feelings toward the arrangement.
