We stop by every time we visit the Troy Farmer's Market. The Flour Bender in Troy is such a gem! The iced mocha coffee is absolutely delicious, made with real chocolate -- such a treat. Every baked good we've tried has been outstanding: fresh, moist, flavorful, and never overly sweet. Service is always prompt and friendly. I also love that they use compostable cups, straws, and paper bags -- a thoughtful touch. The space itself is clean and inviting, with a big window that overlooks all the vendors on Farmer's Market days. Highly recommend stopping in!

Incredible bakery in Downtown Troy! I'm so excited to welcome The Flour Bender to the Collar City. They have a great selection of sweet and savory baked goods as well as a selection of coffee, tea and other drinks. It's a beautifully comfortable space that makes it easy to sit and relax. The staff is always so friendly, welcoming and answers any questions you may have. My favorite thing they make is the Italian rainbow cookie, which is naturally dyed. I'm also a huge fan of their pop tarts and other cookies too. I want to try their Focaccia bread next time. Their custom cakes look beautiful too. Highly recommend a stop to The Flour Bender!

What a divine place. The rainbow cookie intrigued me since it was advertised as 'naturally dyed' and oh boy was it delicious. I cut it in half to share and it was enough just half of it! The cakes look so pretty they are hard to resist, and I also got a tasty muffin as well. They cater to those with delicate tummies as well which is a refreshing change. Can't wait to return and buy more!

The staff are extremely friendly and the environment is homey right when you walk in. it's one of the few coffee shops where I want to go to meet with my friends. I always get a matcha with their vanilla syrup and it's perfect each time! It's good quality, which is hard to find for their price ($6.50 in comparison to $8-9 elsewhere). They have pastries and also savory options later in the day which are so worth it! I'm so grateful they've opened up and I hope to see them flourish in the future

I took a sneak peek at The Flour Bender shop while in Troy last week. My visit was the day before their Grand Opening, and I arrived in the afternoon, meaning the bakery case was already looking less-than-full, but nothing that i wouldn't have expected. Two types of cookies, 3 pop tart flavors, and slices of one type of cake were available. [The cookies were $3 and pop tarts ranged from $7-$9 a piece.] The customer services was warm and friendly, and I felt completely welcome to "sit and stay awhile" after ordering one cookie to go, one to enjoy onsite, and a bottle of local apple juice, Empire Cider. The cookie was rich and salty, and the perfect size for an afternoon snack. Perfectly textured for my liking - soft and chewy with a nice crackle crunch on top. Love the look of this place - crisp and classic, with clean and simple designs. There are a handful of tables and lots of counter space, which I am sure will come in handy to file long lines during the farmers market and other Troy events in the future. I will definitely be going back to check out the pop tarts and indulge in the tea selection. They had samples available of two flavors near the register, but I did not see them until I was on my way out.

The sitting space if I'm being honest is kind of tight with chairs backed up against the display divider for the line/counter ordering area. The benches up against the wall opposite counter are beautiful and force good posture. There were also some window spots I'd definitely aim for next time. The counter person was delightful no complaints. Explained the drinks and didn't rush us. We came later morning on Saturday, most of the bakery items were sold out. But what we got was amazing, a nice mixture of scones, perfection. I appreciated the mixture of small morsels, it included flavors that I would not have tried otherwise. I got a cream brûlée latte as suggested classic with a hint of sweetness, standard with double shot of espresso. My wife got a mocha variety definitely much richer. The art on top was also a nice highlight. As other reviews mentioned prices were not listed but this is definitely a specialty place so expect a higher price than a pump your own coffee express station. But also I rather give my money to a local place than a huge mass marketed place thats serving half the quality.

Alias Coffee partnered with 518 Craft and Primobotanica to open up in a shared space in downtown Troy, NY initially during covid. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I do taste it so as part of the yelp experience, community CO was thoughtful enough to partner with a small and upcoming local coffee shop on National coffee day and get us in for a cup of coffee. I asked the Barsita to make me the best drink from the available choices and was given a Cappuccino, which I took a sip and handed it to my dad. My dad did say the coffee was good and from my tasting experience, the coffee was smooth and had a bitter after taste (like a few people I know like it that way) and the taske kept lingering fir an hour. Service is friendly and street parking is easy; there is even a bus stop across the street.
