We showed up to look at flooring, and Steve helped us! Very pleasant, personable and knowing what we wanted, we selected, paid and out the door in 30 minutes. The installers, Mike, Wayne and their crew were totally awesome, prompt on time, pleasant and courteous. I was very comfortable with all of them in our home! We love our floors, and could not have had a better experience all the way around. Thank you again to all ~ Carolyn & Mike read more

We shopped around to different stores and found that Floor Trader had the best prices and great staff that helped make our flooring choice easier. I'd also recommend Wayne and Mike as installers. We replaced almost 2500 sq ft of flooring along with putting in all new baseboards and they did a great job. They came in and removed all the tile and carpeting and ensured that everything was done perfectly before they left. I would definitely recommend them and use again for any future flooring projects. read more

This review is overdue but I have to express my gratitude to James at the Floor Trader for going above and beyond in helping me with an issue that I had with my old flooring. Floor Trader did a great job on my laminate install but I had some water damage that required me to have my whole floor redone. James spent days/weeks seeking out sealant solutions, talking to reps and distributors, to find the best product that comes with a warranty. This was done as a grand goodwill gesture with nothing to gain in it for him. I choose Floor Traders initially because they are a local, family run business that has been around for a long time and has a great reputation. I am so grateful that I did! read more

I purchased laminate flooring from them twice. Wonderful contractor they assigned. Good prices and wide product selections.

People at Floor Trader were very helpful and no BS..... They stored our floors until Wayne and Mike came and installed them. I cannot say enough good about them and their crew. Professional, knowledgeable and informative on what they are doing and why. My floors and baseboards look spectacular. My daughter said we look like a model home. Thanks to Warren, Wayne and everyone who helped us get some really nice floors. Recommend highly....... read more

We just had LVP flooring installed in our home and I wanted to say that the team that helped us to select, purchase, demolish existing flooring, and install the new flooring were superb! Lisa and the guys were very helpful in the store. Bareknuckle Demolition removed all of the tile using machinery that exponentially cut down on the dust and made clean up a breeze! Wayne Taylor and his crew installed the new flooring in two days, which was a lot faster than we had anticipated. I would highly recommend using this team! read more

Amazing customer service and quality in flooring. I dreaded looking for flooring material not knowing where to start or where to look. Steve gave the best and outstanding customer service and made this stressful process a breeze (the opposite of what other flooring stores were doing). Thank you Steve! I have also recommended a family member to this store location and she was quick in purchasing her flooring from there as well. As a first time home buyer that's renovating my home, I would definitely recommend you to check it out. read more

We have purchased carpet over 4 times for different homes. We love the selection. The 1st time was because Lowes botched up our order and we had already moved all furniture out of 3 rooms. So we headed right over and found something we loved ...in stock...& found am installer for that same day. Amazing how they helped us. So we have always recommended this company to people looking for carpet! read more

Our latest installers, Wayne, Mike, and Jesus were excellent. Showed up on time, took care and respected our property and cleaned up each night. I couldn't be any happier with the way our waterproof laminate turned out!!! read more

These people are so helpful! My dog chewed out a piece of my carpet- (in our new home) after a Morning of driving from Home Depot, then to Lowes , and other big name stores, while spending time (hours) trying to match my carpet with out any one to offer assistance- then was finally told they could not sell me carpet unless I'm paying to have it fully installed - I literally needed a 2'x2' piece....I called The floor Trader! Lisa was so sweet over the phone and I'm not sure if she could hear the panic and stress in my voice but she assured me they could help! When I arrived I was greeted immediately with friendly smiles ! Lisa helped me right away match the piece of carpet I brought in and and gave me tips on how to repair the damaged area- with in minutes she had another team member , I believe his name was Steve help me out with cutting the piece I needed ! He was so helpful and kind . I was on my way back to fix my carpet all in a matter of maybe 20 mins! Definitely recommend this place - clean , organized, fair prices and such a helpful crew! read more

Lisa is great to work with! Installers Nick and Junior were amazing! Highly recommend!!!!!

The floor trader has been my go to company for 15+ years. As a local realtor I always recommend Warren and his staff to my clients and they always say that the price, quality and customer service they received was beyond all of their expectations. read more

I cannot say how happy I am with my experience at FT. I was on a short timeline and they came thru for me! I came into the showroom, selected my carpets and the "measuring man" happened to be near my town that afternoon. He came by my house to measure on his way home. He called in the measurements and 20 minutes later I had the exact quote for the project. They were able to get carpet installers to meet my short deadline. Within 5 days, I had new carpets in my new house. Super nice, easy to work with and they did exactly what they said they would do! read more

Left a review on Oct 4. Nic, who put the floor in, mysteriously called the next day and said that he ordered the missing material from James at Floor Trader and that he would get back to me. He never did. It's been over a month since his call on Oct 5, and have not heard from Nic nor Floor Trader since. read more

We had a great experience both in store and during the install. We knew we wanted a nice, durable laminate and they had a great selection. The prices are competitive and we felt like we got a very fair and great deal on the flooring as well as the install. Wayne and his crew were awesome! It was a quick turnaround from the purchase to the install. We are so happy with the finished product! read more

Over 20 years ago, I first purchased carpet, at The Floor Trader and just recently replace it (400 sq. feet). Warren who helped me 20 years ago, was absolutely amazing, once again, when I needed assistance. He also was a tremendous help, when choosing laminate flooring, for the rest of the house. I replaced all of the badly worn oak flooring, in my 1950"s house. Warren's son, James, recommended flooring installers, Wayne Taylor and his partner, Mike. They are definitely the best of the best! They are extremely knowledgeable, neat and clean. I highly recommend all of the above. read more

I recently visited the store to see a man about carpet.. the gentleman that help me was Mike H. he was very helpful and informative in helping me make a decision. He set me up with an appointment with one of his installers Ron Alvareez, long story longer I am very pleased with the whole process everything that we set up went according as planned. Ron was awesome and very respectful of my home. I would recommend the floor trader as well as the installer Ron any time!! read more

Warren and the office team are amazing! Great customer service and great people. Just be cautious of the installer. We had Richard Morris install flooring and it was the worst remodel experience. Everything went wrong from smoking and leaving butts on the property, to flakiness and poor quality. Baseboards had paint drips, some baseboard had caulking randomly and inconsistently applied. The caulking on the floor joints is falling out already, and the floor makes a popping sound when you walk in some spots. Not to mention the damage to my fire place (chipped bricks) and throwing things around in my garage (his shop vac and tools on top of my appliances). It was a prolonged bad experience. read more

From the first phone call to the last day of install AWESOME!! Mike at floor trader his install team Robert, Spencer and Josh were amazing!! You have reservations about people coming into your home and working inside of your home that was never a concern of mine with the crew. My dog welcomed them the first day like they had been living there for years. They were friendly, knowledgeable and always kept us in the loop as to what they were doing and why they were doing it. We will be going through Floor Trader and hopefully working with the same install crew in the future for any future home-improvement needs. My 16-year-old daughter and 14-year-old son commented how friendly they were. They would joke around with myself and the kids but yet very professional and hard working!! Flooring looks amazing!! read more

We recently had LVP flooring installed and we have just purchased carpet for the 2 floor of our home. We worked with Steve and found him to be so helpful as well as patient with all of our concerns and questions. We used Next Level Flooring for the installation and they were very thorough, concerned for our comfort through out the process and punctual and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend the store or the installer-owner Michael Miller to anyone. Kathy S. read more

Floor Trader rep Lisa Worley was a tremendous help with my flooring needs. Now my home is just what I wanted. The staff educated me on the various types of flooring and the strengths of each along with their weakness. Floor Trader had the best selection and prices from Modesto to Stockton Ca.. This includes the major stores like lumber liquidators, Lowes, and Home Depot. They were much better than the smaller stores also. They had more product on hand/ in stock, than other places also. This provided a greater selection when you are ready to beautify your home now. You don't need to wait for your order. I need to credit to my installer also, Harold. His team did a excellent job. The installer recommended by Floor Trader, who is a independent contractor, not connected to Floor Trader was more expensive and projected a 2 day install. Harold completed the work in 1 day. Here is a shout our for Harold. He is local to Modesto. 209 818-3314. Thank you Floor Trader you set the bar. read more

Due to bad customer service with whoever the lady we talked to when we called the store, she was very rude and very impatient to answer questions that we had, we decided not to go with floor traders but we did find the best place to go with great deals and very friendly. with better deals and better quality along with free installation! Saved us over $1000. Sad that floor traders has to miss out on customers because their employee doesn't know how to speak to a customer. read more

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Warren and his staff are good, genuine, and honest people...hard to come by now a days. I went to 4 different flooring companies to find good quality flooring at a good price (they have a HUGE selection and all types of flooring). I caught some of these 4 comapnies in a lie when they tried to inform me that the floor was American made when I already knew that it was not (do your research people!) When I went to floor traders, they were very honest. I was concerned about the laminate floors that emit formaldehyde, and Warren was able to tell me about the history and controvery of some of the floors which put my mind at ease. He even found and price matched a floor that I wanted from another store, but had walked away from due to unprofessionalism and dishonesty. He helped me purchase the floors and load them up. When we had trouble with installing a piece, we called Floor Traders who were more than helpful in answering our questions, even though we were having our own guy do the installation. When we needed extra flooring, they sold it to us at the same price that we had bought the bulk of the flooring. When we needed to return some unopened boxes, they allowed it. We will never go to another flooring place, because we have no need, and Floor Traders has our respect and loyalty!! I highly, highly recommend! read more

We have loved our experiences with floor trader! Every person has been so patient with us and so informational. We never felt obligated to use them or pressured to upgrade. I like the vast amount of experience & knowledge they have on flooring. I dealt with Warren, an older gentleman who was patient with me as I picked his brain for information. I was giddy as I'd gone to both Lowe's & Home Depot (where I either couldn't find anyone to help me or had to talk with a 17 year old who knew even less than my Google search results had shown). Great knowledge, solid selection. Excellent all the way around. The only hiccup is their floor installation subcontractor. You'll spend forever waiting for their installer (Rich?) to contact you back. He's knowledgeable but a little expensive. I think they need more than one installer so customers have a few more options should the project timing be sensitive. read more

Purchased flooring in December. Due to the holidays, the installation guy, Wayne came and measured in January. Called after a couple of weeks and my order had been lost. I got a call back that it was found and the estimate on the installation should be forth coming. Waited a couple more weeks and went into the store and was told the installer was stuck in another State due to the big southern storm, and that the flooring I had chosen was now out of stock, however a new shipment would be arriving the following week. I got a call the next day to assure me the flooring was scheduled, for sure to arrive. A couple more weeks have passed and we went into the store today, to see what the delay is , and discovered that the flooring was back in stock, yet I had not been contacted. I got my money back, but disappointed that I was lost in their unorganized paperwork. Also disappointed that they didn't try to make it right today. Additionally, each time I called or came in, the first question was who was the salesperson, they weren't making any effort to assist if it wasn't their sale. Sad. read more

Nice store with a Huge Selection. I pretty much knew what I wanted when i first visited the Store, so my selection wasn't difficult. Their price on my Mannington Laminate was as low or equal to other's I checked, even On-Line Dealers... that made me Very Happy. The only drawback was with my Salesperson. We seemed to have a communication problem almost from the start and it seemed to continue throughout the Sale. Nothing Big, but it was a little annoying. The GREAT Redeemer here was the Installer. Wayne Taylor was simply Fabulous ! He gave me a Full Estimate... after having to contact my Salesperson with a Few Phone Calls. The Estimate included a few extras that I wanted done and he was Happy to work with me. Wayne and his crew did the Job in one day, and did it to Perfection. Wayne is a GREAT Installer !!! Needless to say, ignoring a few hitches, I'm Very Happy with my New Floor ! read more

Very kind to help me. Nice people. I made a promise that l would do business with the Floor Trader when l was ready to replace carpet in living room. Fast forward, l just had carpet installed by Richard Morris. Richard showed up on time, very pleasant and friendly. I am very thrilled with my new carpet. Although the timing may be bad in this pandemic right now, I am thrilled with my carpet. LOL.
