We worked with Matt on our backsplash & he did amazing! He was easy to work with and very good about choosing a style that worked best with our home. Thank you so much, we love it!

I'm writing this review as a warning to anyone else that either decides to hire this joke of a…read morecompany or gets them contracted out through Lowes. Just like Amy W's issue -- we had a cali bamboo floor installed, which actually took these bozos about 3 months to finally come out (after 3-4 times) to get the job done. We were also told it would take 3-4 days and I was shocked to come home and find them done within 1 day. Unfortunately, they half assed the whole installation which you can hopefully see from the pictures. Only writing this to warn anyone else and let this company know -- if you can't do something right don't say you can. Just an awful experience. Also working with Lowes to get this rectified as they don't want to take any blame for the issues they caused.

I had a terrible experience with Pro Carpet/Pro installation through the Gurnee Lowe's. At first,…read morethe service seemed good. They came out a total if three times before installing my Cali Bamboo. The first time they unpacked and stacked my flooring and the other two times they came to check to see if my floors were acclimated. The install was sop posed to take 3-4 days, so I was pleased that it was done in 1 1/2 days. I had to work, so my mother was there during the installation. After a while I noticed a few little things that were not done correctly. Then after 3 weeks away, my floors were terrible. I contacted Lowe's and they sent Steve, the original installer, out to check on the issues. Well Steve started blaming me and kept stating that he couldn't believe he had installed the floors like that. I asked about my quarter round because it wasn't attached correctly and he said that more nails would show. He ended up storming out after 5 minutes. I called Lowe's right ways and started a claim. I even hired an independent NEFA flooring guy to do an inspection. The report stated that the concrete slab was never evened out and that Steve had not followed the Cali Bamboo installing specifications. According to the inspectors report, the floors should be taken out and completely redone.. I have since contacted a lawyer and am working with Lowe's to find a solution.

Like many others here, I had issues with Empire's installation and product. However, I think it's…read moreimportant to share that Empire eventually made things right for us. It took some time and patience, but after quite a bit of back and forth, we reached a satisfactory resolution, and our floors now look great. Stay calm and kind. Most of the people you speak with are not decision-makers; they relay your issues to those who are. If you treat them kindly, they will "fight" for you and prioritize you as a customer. If you're not satisfied, ask to speak with managers and have all your information and proper documentation ready. Again, I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to remain calm and kind. You can achieve a reasonable resolution. Don't give up and they will make things right.

I was incredibly unhappy with Empire. To begin with, they were the best price and they had a floor…read morethat matched others in a house I bought. The salesman did not notice that there was tile below the current floor or even think it might be an asbestos floor. I know he saw the floor because I watched him. When the installer showed up, he said he could not install because of the asbestos. I had it remediated and the installer came back. He put in the new floor but refused to move the furniture into the rooms or re-install the closet doors. He said they did not tell him he had to do this so he did not have a crew with him to do it. His supervisor promised another appointment in a few days to move everything back. I began calling Empire a day or so later to confirm the appointment and was told there was not one. Each call I made to them told me something different. Finally they told me that they would not move furniture into a room that they did not take it out of or re-install doors that they did not take down. My contract was clear that they move furniture in and out. There was one larger dresser that we could not get into the room and had to hire some moving guys to do that and of course, to pay for that. Empire has offered me a credit of $140 which is just a token to me. The salesman, the installer, the people on the phone, the supervisor, they all had a different story for the issues we were having. Hence, I would not recommend this company. And if you use them, not only get it in writing but record your phone calls (totally illegal) but I wish that I had.
