I cannot say enough good things about the team that refinished our hardwood floors. Brian was at our house to prepare an estimate the next day after I called. The team to do the work showed up on time, were very polite, kept it clean, and did a spectacular job. I wish we would have taken a before picture because the floor was terrible. The after picture looks like brand new floors were installed. Wow! Thanks guys! read more

We had a great experience with Creative Carpet! Brittany Jonatis was wonderful to work with throughout the process of installing our hardwood stairs and runner. She was knowledgeable, responsive, and made everything easy from start to finish. The entire team was professional, accommodating, and their workmanship was outstanding. The finished stairs look fantastic, and we couldn't be happier with the results. I highly recommend Creative Carpet! read more

I went in searching for flooring, and was so pleased to have met and worked with Fernando at Creative Carpet and Flooring. He was so professional, accommodating, and timely as we worked through the process of choosing the right wood and carpet. I was so appreciative of Fernando's efforts in making the entire process manageable - a good value for great flooring. Don't think twice, just go see them! read more

I was very happy with the customer service and help that BRIAN gave me in selecting my carpeting for my condo. I was TOLD and also in your newsletter that if I would REFER someone and they bought carpeting thru your company that I would get a $25.00 FOOD gift card and I have NOT received it and I referred my daughter to get bedroom and hall carpeting thru your company. It is done and been since FEB 19th and I have NOT gotten anything. I feel when someone ( or a company for sure- good business procedures !!) PROMISES something I would assume to receive it. My daughter was told that HER SERVICE and INSTALLATION was not CLOSED as of yet. and again that was in March! I ALSO LIVE IN TINLEY PARK AND MY DAUGHTER LIVES IN MONEE AND WE USED THE CARPET PLACE IN MOKENA!!!! I DO NOT LIVE IN CALIFORNIA LIKE THIS SAYS I DO?!?!!?!??!?! THANKS read more

Brian was a great help in assisting me with what I needed. It was quick and easy. I would recommend

Creative Carpet and Flooring did a wonderful job for our laundry room floor. From the start of entering the showroom to the finish product, it was so easy and smooth. The employee that did the floor finishing did a wonderful job. Everything was also timely. I will consider them in the future if I need anything else. read more

I wanted to change a slate floor that has been in my home since 1973. Since I love nature and natural materials I had my heart set on River Rock to replace the slate. After trying to work with a Carpet and flooring company in Orland that never returned phone calls, literally could not be 'bothered' with a small (but expensive) job, I decided to take my business elsewhere. While on my way to Alsip Nursery on Mothers Day I passed by Creative Carpet and Tile in Mokena. I walked in the following Monday and within 20 minutes had my quote and put down my deposit. Within two weeks... just a little delay because of Memorial Day, my floor was installed by 2 hard working, very professional and polite gentleman (Dave and Rob). I would highly recommend this company. They are Family Owned and strive hard to meet their customers needs and concerns. read more

What a wonderful company. I was overwhelmed with my flooring decisions, but Creative Carpets were outstanding. The courtesy and respect from Brian in sales who helped me coordinate flooring for all house carpeting, laminate for the bathroom and kitchen made the process easy. he showed me a mock up board one of the designers created and it was so easy. I had 4 previous quotes and they were all the same but the courtesy, expediancy and professionalism won me over. During installation Dave and his crew were marvelous. They explained everything they were going to do and went above and beyond caring for my uneven flooring I was not even aware of. They cleaned up all afterwords . Everyone must use this company read more

Great cleaning job! Showed up on time on a Saturday afternoon. Scott did a great job cleaning our downstairs carpet. He moved furniture out of the way and back in place. I asked him to give me a shout if he needed anything and I didn't hear a peep until he was done. Even helped me move the TV back in place. I'd use them again. read more

We recently replaced the flooring in three rooms. We'd originally gone to one of the big box stores and left feeling like no one could answer our questions. My husband read review about Creative Carpet and suggested we visit their showroom. Our experience there was stellar from the time we walked in and were greeted by Cody all the way through the order and installation of our flooring. Cody asked us about our current flooring, pets, vacuum habits and expectations and guided us through the selection process. Installation was less than three weeks after we ordered and could have been sooner if I hadn't wanted to wait until the painter was done. The install team was efficient and left our home spotless. I could not be more pleased and I highly recommend this family owned business! read more

Once again Creative Carpet came through for me! Thank you Steve. Great place to buy carpet.

I have never had wood flooring installed. The homes I purchased had wood floors already in place, therefore very new experience for my husband and I. We ended up getting 3 quotes. We chose Creative Carpets as a result of their customer service and follow up. They were priced, when comparing apples to apples, competitively. Whether calling the store in Mokena or stopping in Brian and all other associates were happy to serve as well as professional. Responsive when leaving a message or emailing too! My only surprise, which is not a big deal for me but could be for others, is as the customer you are responsible for disposing the carpet/flooring being torn up. Additionally all the scraps and materials not used. We had 5 large garbage bags and multiple rolls of carpet from 2 bedrooms. It can be heavy if you are a senior or not able to do heavy lifting. Be sure to consider Creative should you be considering new flooring. They have been in Mokena a long time and family owned. Says something about an organization when there is longevity of services. read more

We had Creative Carpet and Flooring install oak flooring in our living room and dining room. They did a wonderful job from start to finish. The whole process started when my wife and I walked in to CCF and were greeted warmly by Chris. We picked out a couple of samples and took them home to match the wood flooring that already existed in the house. We picked out the one we wanted. CCF sent someone out to measure. My wife and I went back to CCF and finalized our selection of hardwood and paid. About a week later 20 packages of butterscotch oak hardwood arrived at the house. (The wood needs to acclimate to the humidity in our house). Four days later the our flooring was being installed by Adam and his brother. They both did a great job and were done in 2 days. Its the little things that Creative Carpet and Flooring did that made me happy. 1. Adam felt some of our sub flooring was loose. He installed screws to tighten it up. 2. Adam and his brother (whose name escapes me right now) were very careful moving my furniture and breakables. 3. Adam folded all the boxes up and left them nicely tucked in behind our garbage cans so they would not fly away. 4. CCF took out the old carpet and wrapped it in duct tape to it would be easy for me to pitch it to the curb on garbage day. 5. Chris called me before each step and told me what would happen and how long it would take. He was correct on everything. This was one of the best experiences we have had from start to finish. Our living room and dining room has gone from being a boring room to one of the focal points of our house. read more

Julie spent A LOT of time helping me with carpet and I had just the right one, but ended up finding out my carpet just needed the right cleaning to look like new. Believe me, if you want someone who knows about carpet, this young woman knows everything about carpet and she will not try to sell you something that is not what you are looking for. She is very impressive. Carpet Cleaning - these guys did a fabulous job. Way better than the Chem Dry experience I had a couple of years ago which made my carpet hard and even changed the tone of the color so that my stairs no longer matched the rest of the room. I had my master bedroom done by Creative's cleaning and the carpet looks like new and was ready to walk on in an hour. If you have not been in this store they are amazing. Go see Julie. She knows everything there is to know about carpets. She is amazing! read more

Highly recommend Creative Carpet and Flooring. We had just moved into our house and realized the carpeting needed to be removed. After doing research and reading about how it's not a good idea to get carpet from a big box home improvement store, I found Creative Carpet via a search of places near me. When we walked in we were greeted by Brian and he helped us find the perfect carpet for our needs. The price was great and the carpet is really nice in our house. The men that came to install the carpet were such hard workers and we were very pleased with them, too. We'll be needing to change the carpet in our bedrooms and we're definitely going back to Creative Carpet. read more

Sales staff is great! No pressure and very knowledgeable. Pricing was very reasonable. Definitely check them out and support local business.

It took me three floors to finally get one with so far only one defect, which was fixed by hammering tile bump flat and then putting a sparkle of some kind over the area. My husband and I had to move furniture, remove closet doors, etc. three times. The second install was cancelled due to more defects but crew showed up at 8:00AM anyways because they were never notified. I had to touch up wall and just accept the new scratches on appliances, etc. They put new trim down but it ended up having a lot of gauges but they did touch up with one of those furniture markeI feel like I never really received a new floor, more like a used one. For all the inconvenience they said they would take $150 off of a $3,200 job and that was the best they could do. I really never received an apology from the owner and was passed around to three different people like no one really wanted to deal with me. I started to feel like I caused the problem and no one really cared about it one way or another. For my first project in a long time it was a super big disappointment. I would like to add that I did not ask for $150. You offer $50 to all customers in your newsletters every month. Most family and friends felt I basically should have paid for labor only after such a big inconvenience. You state in your newsletters that most customers don't want to wait a second when there is a problem and that you want to do whatever you can to make things good even if it hurts. I do agree the third time out that basically the patch up job was the best route to go because by this point I didn't want any more issues to my walls or trim or surrounding tiles . Your crew tried to make me think they were doing me a favor by leaving me spare tiles I guess in case I found more defects but little did I know until later that the tiles they left me were actually the defective ones from the first floor they installed. Thank you very much, what can I do with them but throw t read more

We were very happy with our LVT and carpeting. The installers did an excellent job, our sales person, Michelle Cress was awesome. Start to finish it was an easy and great experience. Everyone was very courteous and professional. I would definitely use Creative Carpet again and is the only flooring store I would recommend in the Lincoln Way area. 5 stars isnt enough read more

The seams in my new carpeting were not done to my satisfaction. Carpet repair technician came out and steamed them and said they would get better with time. I have waited and they are no better. Contacted Mark, the owner, and he told me to hire a private company to inspect the carpet. I do not think this is the way to handle a seaming issue. As I have said, this is not the customer service I expected from Creative Carpet. I was very patient and understanding when they needed to replace my carpet because of the Shaw Carpeting manufacturing problem, which was a big inconvenience. I thought Creative Carpet would at least fix the main seam at the bedroom door. read more

Great experience from start to finish. Creative Carpets should be the role model for all businesses. Great customer service. If you have a question, they're there. Prices are competitive. I had CC carpet my whole house. They gave me a good discount since I was buying so much. It took me forever to decide what I wanted and sales person Michelle was very patient with me. We had the work done in 2 passes. First the stairs, family room, living room and one bedroom, then the remaining bedrooms. The first time we had the installers move the furniture, but the 2nd time, we did it ourselves to save a few bucks. I was happy with the whole experience. Not only was Michele great, but also the guy we talked to to schedule the installers and the installers themselves. The installers were very polite and were on time. These folks know what they're doing and they value their customers. If you want a good experience buying flooring, check them out. I will be recommending CC to everyone I know. And, ask for Michelle. I used Creative Carpet to sand my hardwood floors and the experience was great! Michelle was very patient as I went back and forth in my decision of what I wanted to do with the floors. The workers were on time, respectful and hardworking. When they came back to move the furniture back at the end of their workday, their 'perfectionist' attitude really came through, wanting to make sure furniture was perfectly lined up instead of just plopping it down! We are looking to refinish our floors in the near future and will call nobody but Creative Carpet! read more

I first used this company when they were first starting out in Lockport many years ago. So when I was searching for family owned businesses to help me with my fathers house, I was happy to have found them again in Mokena. I never visited their show room or met anyone in person except for the installers today (Oscar, Ivan and Armando, who stayed a little extra to help me with drywall repair issues). I did everything long distance from Phoenix and could not be happier with the final product. My contact was Cody and he was great! Trustworthy and professional and happy to work with the budget that I had . Definitely would recommend this company. read more
