WOW, what great service and care! We had need for floor tile in a timely manner and a local Carpet Shop didn't have a clue how to help us, while our Sales Rep was on vacation. Having to quickly . the process, I went to the manufacturer website, and Carpet Time was listed. I read the already stellar reviews and placed my call. JIM FOX answered and within 15 mins I had my quote,(matching the price we had been quoted elsewhere (still their price was very competitive...most important he figure out the way to get it us within our now tight time frame. In fact, he actually delivered it himself on a Saturday to assure we had the product of our private installer. Wonderful personality, and persistent Customer caring , and all done OVER the phone . Jim, thank you for stepping up when our other Vendor couldnt do the "elementary" work of taking care of us in the most simple way,....Thoughtful, Professional, Personable, and outstanding pricing, and Customer Service. Before you just randomly go to a BIGBOX, or that place where you bought carpet etc. 10 years ago...check our Carpet Time, family owned since the early 70's, when Jim's Grandparents opened and started servicing the South Area and beyond! I highly recommend NOT DOING BUSINESS with Carpet Time. At first we were very happy with our purchase. We had to make a claim on our carpet less than 1.5 years after it was installed. It has been nothing but down hill since. If you like to be lied to, not replied to this is a great place to spend your money. I am only writing this review because once again I have been waiting over 2 weeks for a reply from Ron our sales rep, even calling twice today and no response. In sum, if you like to feel like you are lied to, if you like to not receive any official paperwork/quotes, if you like to chase people down who take 2 weeks to get back to you, or even take 1-2 weeks to provide a quote, Carpet Time is your place. Per Carpet Time we are owed a $4100 credit from Shaw Flooring. I have it written in an email several times from Ron our sale rep. However, Carpet Time now states that their Shaw Flooring rep is not replying to their emails to use the credit. When I call Shaw Flooring they have no record of any conversations or credits with Carpet Time for our account. I have requested multiple times from Ron at Carpet Time documentation from Shaw Flooring that this credit is owed. He is unable to provide one ounce of written evidence of the credit he promised. I guess it explains why Ron from Carpet Time will not return calls or emails for over two weeks and I have physically go in, in person to try to talk to someone. They also will not let me speak to the owner, manager or anybody other than who sold me the carpet. What looks like may be going on, is they promised a fake credit and then jacked up the price of a new quote to make up the difference. We have gotten other quotes from local flooring companies and they are several thousand less. Do not go there, there may be other local non-big box stores you can work with. I have been more than patient for 1 1/2 years worth of headaches. read more

I got a quote from Home Depot and got a serious run around and then got a quote from Empire that was absolutely outrageous! Carpet Time fell into my lap and I'm so grateful! Everything went smoothly and was very reasonably priced too. The installer was also very nice and worked out a couple issues we had with an uneven floor and I was super grateful. They were also able to get it installed right away! I had a great experience and would definitley recommend them! read more

Previously purchased carpet here and the experience went well. Today I stopped in to price carpet. I entered with my daughter about 11 am and the gentleman didn't even acknowledge us. Customer service 101... address anyone entering your business! Especially since there was NO one else there! We didn't know which area to enter but after we discussed it loudly for a few minutes he told us which way to enter. We looked around about 5 minutes and on our way to exit he finally acknowledged us. I will take my business elsewhere! read more

Whoever answered the phone acted like I was speaking a different language and was unable to help me or get me on the phone w/ someone who could. Simply terrible. We are more than happy with the service from Carpet Time. Our entire first floor was done with rubber tree hardwood. Our salesman Dave was with the job from start to finish. He made sure we were informed on every detail of the job. He came out during the process of the floor install just to make sure everything was going well. The installers Antonio and his partner were perfectionists. They were neat, professional and prompt told me exactly when they were coming and leaving. I would highly recommend them. Worst customer service ever. They told us they would place the order, and it "would probabally be in by Friday." Guess what is is over a week now, we called and NOBODY even apologized for a misunderstanding. Instead, they were arrogant saying nobody would have told us that date. While we were ordering the flooring, the guy kept answering phone calls, and never even said "excuse me" to answer the phone. People at Home Depot are more courteous. Never would I spend another DIME on this place. This is why big box stores put the little guy out of business!! read more

I went to carpet time for tile. I made a large tile purchase. When I spoke to the salesman he assured me I can return my overage. He never once told me there was a restocking fee. I had a small amount of tile to return and after waiting over 30 days to get a check mailed to me for the return they took 20% for the restocking fee. It is unacceptable that I had to wait over 30 days for a return. I left numerous messages and never once received a phone call or an email back. Very disappointed with the customer service. Do yourself a big favor and go to another tile store . What I am disappointed about most is obviously when I made the purchase the customer service was exceptional, however when I had a problem with my order I could not get a simple phone call back. That is unacceptable. When you run a small business you should try your hardest to work with customers in a timely manner. read more

Fair prices. Great customer service. Great quality carpet. Minor issues with installation. Installers damaged freshly painted walls (which we knew could happen) but never mentioned it to us. Thankfully painters were still here on a different floor of the house painting so they were able to fix it easily. Would have been more irritating otherwise. Huge mess left behind by installation crew. Unable to make it to all bedrooms to check for damage while they were here due to random pieces of metal laying around. Customer service was great when I brought it up but unfortunately didn't know what the metal could have been. I've had carpet installed in a 97,000 sq. ft. business and a rental property and never saw so much carpet fuzz left behind before. Beyond what a dyson could handle. Had to sweep it into piles prior to vacuuming then search carpet for other smaller metal pieces that could have been embedded in carpet. 8 weeks after carpet was installed it was coming up on the stairs. I was told it would take up to 12 weeks to get the 8 week old carpet fixed. Ended up only taking 48 hours so that was great! Carpet is coming up off stairs again. It is only 12 weeks old now.....definitely not happy with how installation went. None of the installers spoke english, our painters were bilingual and were able to help out though so that was a good thing. I was informed installers spoke english so I'm not sure if they were just acting like they didn't understand me or if different installers were sent instead of the scheduled ones. All in all, great quality carpet, great customer service, installation experience could have been much better. read more

I could not resist sharing our good fortune. We had been shopping around and pricing carpeting when a salesman from another carpet store (can you imagine that?) recommnded Carpet Time to us. We got there shortly before closing but were given all the time we needed. Dave Lenz took his time showing us numerous carpets and explained all the pros and cons about each. The price he quoted was fantastic and it even came in ahead of the time scheduled! Although we had our own installer, they took excellent care of our needs at Carpet Time. We bought our carpet and padding from them and no one could beat their prices. Their customer service is topnotch! read more
