From the time I visited I was very impressed by the attention Samantha paid to my remodel. The countertops look awesome and the pricing was more than fair. Needless to say I'm extremely happy with Surface Solutions! read more

Do not use this company if you have a deadline or want any type of meaningful communication. Jake was communicative to start but on install day he kept giving me the F U button, never even gave the courtesy that he wouldn't be showing up. Same thing the following day trying to give him the opportunity to remedy the situation. Terrible business practices. Just man up and tell the truth, complete non-response is inexcusable. read more

My wife and I had an outstanding experience with Surface Solutions in Mokena. Eric and Samantha were terrific in guiding us through the selection process for our Cambria Quartz slab and Ruvati sink, coordinating installation, and following through. We originally met with a big box store for a complete kitchen makeover, but the rep there only had small 4x4" samples--hardly enough size to feel confident about such an important choice. The big box rep also didn't explain key details like thickness options, polish finishes, or how the flow and pattern of quartz can minimize seams in a large space. Eric, on the other hand, was a true professional. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly and suggested we visit Cambria's showroom in Elk Grove Village. When we arrived at the Cambria showroom, rep Jaclyn Cornwall walked us through the store full slabs and showed us the different polish finishes side by side. By the time we left the showroom, we were completely confident in our quartz choice--color name, finish, and thickness. Jaclyn sent us to the Elk Grove Village Daltile showroom to pick out backsplash tiles, which we then brought back to Cambria to compare with the slabs. Seeing the slab and the tile together gave us 100% certainty. Before moving forward, we had requested quotes from several companies, but we kept coming back to Surface Solutions. Trust is important when making a big investment, and we trusted Eric and Samantha. They came through big time. Pricing was fair, turnaround was quick, and from the day we paid until installation, it was only 30 days. The install crew was excellent--removing our old countertops without damaging the cabinets and quickly installing the new quartz and sink (purchased through Surface Solutions). Everything looks fantastic, and my wife and I couldn't be happier with the result. We'll be sharing photos once the backsplash tile is installed and the cabinets are refaced, but for now, we can say with confidence: Surface Solutions is a company we'd recommend without hesitation. read more

Great selection of stone, got countertops installed fast, and if needed, you can do a payment plan! Not to mention the cost of the stone I purchased was a lot cheaper than the other countertop store nearby. read more

The installation was fine but their crew arrived late and could have done a better job of cleaning up. My problem is with their business practices. After giving them a deposit, I received an email asking for full payment. I call their office and said I would give their crew a check upon arrival. They told me that they would not even load the truck prior to full payment. I have never dealt with a contractor that demanded full payment prior to installation. read more

So we have had our countertops for a 1 1/2 year- 2 years now. About a month in, on the edge of the sink, our NEW countertop gets a chip in it. We went with "the most durable" edge finish.. "the strongest". we were told this was the strongest manufactured Quartz they had... stronger then real quartz. So that's why we chose it! Also it's great for people with kids cause it won't stain. ALSO, stains... this countertop get stains ALL THE TIME, I can get MOST of them out... with a time consuming process. WE WERE ALSO TOLD, "it won't stain!" So that was a lie aswell. So right off the bat, I have staining and a chip on my new countertop I spent thousands on. I called, I was told they can fix the chip for $250 ugh! Seriously... you just installed this. My husband just said we might as well wait til there are more before we get it fixed. And sinc, we have a few more... great! :( ONE MORE THING! We were never told, that there would be a seam in the countertop we ordered... that also over time looks stained and I can see it.. it's unsightly and we were told it would be all in one piece. We don't have a huge kitchen countertop.. so we were annoyed with that as well. Not as we were told or expected. I'm disappointed in the customer service after purchasing, and that we would be charged so much to repair a countertop we JUST GOT installed. $250 seems excessive... especially after hearing the schpiel about never staining or chipping! Honestly it's annoying and not right! Never using them again or recommending them. read more

My wife and I remodeled two bathrooms earlier this spring and we used Michele and her staff at Superb Surfaces and Design for our vanity tops, backsplashes and shower curbs. Michele led our project from start to finish by identifying high quality materials at a fair price and providing outstanding customer service throughout the entire process. In addition to Michele's leadership, her technical team displayed professionalism and timeliness as they measured prior to production and installed the final product. We are very satisfied and will definitely use them again on a future project. read more

I bought new countertops several years ago and wanted the same for a new kitchen island. They still had my information in their system and were able to match my old design, so I will have the same for everything. The staff is very knowledgeable and the quartz they carry is top of the line. They are very competitive price wise and offer cash discounts. I highly recommend them. read more

We ordered our kitchen and bathroom countertops from Surface Solutions for a new house we are building. They were exceptional to deal with from start to finish. The tops are gorgeous!! The price was exceptional!! And the installation was perfect!! Thank you to Samantha, as well as Eric and the owner, Jake! I am so grateful to you all! read more

While selecting the countertop from Surface Solutions was a good experience, the installation was another story. The countertops were installed with a 4 inch backsplash, but the installers did not caulk around the boarder. After leaving a voicemail and several emails, I was told that caulking was not included per the contract. This wasn't something that I'd anticipated nor did I look for that in the contract. Surface Solutions never offered to come and complete the project -- nor did they offer the service at a cost. Very dissapointing. read more

THE WORSE EVER!!!! We ordered all the cabinets and the countertop, and the entire order was wrong!! The cabinets were wrong, the countertop was different from what we ordered, and the installation super delayed. They did what they wanted and not what we ordered. In our experience, they got our money upfront and did whatever they wanted. When we confronted them, they were very disrespectful and offered no solutions whatsoever.... horrible service all around!! We needed to pay another person to fix several of their mistakes!!! So, save yourself money and a huge headache by looking for real professionals. read more

Very highly recommend, polite and cleaned up after themselves. Countertops look beautiful. Very good work.

Surface Solutions. The Quartz Countertops are great, The Customer Service Sucks. You want a one stop shop, Well that BS, I had to resemble my sink drains, reinstall Garbage Disposal and paid $50 hook up the Water Lines. So Now I will make 50 Bad reviews all over the internet. If they would have said Plumber to re hook up all at when I went in for Estimate, and I would have paid to have it done. And the installers so arrogant, say we not plumbers and not get paid, like plumbers to reset the water lines and drains. Like WTF. So I say never ever use these people again. First of 50 bad reviews they deserve. 2 = Stars for the counter tops. 0 = Stars for the People. read more

Surface Solutions was all I could ask for from start to finish with my kitchen countertop purchase! In their office and in my home they were cheerful, helpful and thought quickly on their feet. Great at listening to help understand my budget, knowing their inventory, they had a beautiful remnant in stock that worked perfectly! The installation team was careful and thoughtful of my home. They had to make adjustments on the fly to accommodate my sink and did such good work on the modifications, they understand how to get a job done and done well. The seam which is in a conspicuous spot is nearly invisible, so happy! Mark and his guys at Surface Solutions did a fantastic job on my kitchen and bathroom counters. Mark made me feel like a valued customer, and even went as far as to say he wanted to do what it took to earn my business. In today's day and age, someone who values each individual client is far and few between. Mark's shop in Mokena had a nice selection of granite, and he helped me pick one that would work based on the style of my cabinets. He was honest and upfront with me about each of the options I was deciding between. Overall, I am extremely happy with my countertops and the work that was done! read more

We have a contract to install a countertop and sink. They installed the countertop but said the sink we had ordered (a month before) had a "scratch," and needed to order a new one. They said it would be installed by this morning. They have not communicated with us since. We now have a gaping hole in our countertop with no ability to use our dishwasher and kitchen sink. Oh, and they didn't pre drill holes for the sink into the granite before they installed it, which is apparently is not proper procedure. read more

Surface Solutions is wonderful! They found the exact granite pieces we needed for two bathroom remodeling projects (and at a great price). Andrew was so helpful. Horrible Communication. We talked with measuring staff , he and i agreed were to make the seams, He said he agreed it would look better were him and i talked about. We actually went to surface solutions in Orland Park per surface solutions request and put our wishes how we wanted it cut out with our sales person on our granite and wrote on the slab our choice of were we wanted the sink, island & seam. Seam is exactly were we asked it not to be. We put calls prior to install and cutting multiply times to surface solutions mokena office to confirm were the cuts would so that we were all on the same page and and no call back. Seam has sloppy epoxy on both sides inches from center of seam right along sink. A simple call to tell us we could not get what we wanted would have set things strait, but surface solutions chose to do it the way they wanted. i was told by Andrew to read my contract before an explanation, i asked Andrew why he did not call me back he said he seen my message misplaced it and got busy. many calls to Debbie at surface solutions in mokena with no response, fortunately some salvation, both my friend i work with and also another person my neighbor that got quotes form Debbie bought from another reputable company and were satisfied. Also surface solutions did not credit us when we decided not to use there so called 200.00 sink, they said they would credit us back. The Cuts around sink are amateur. Looks like they cut the top of our the cabinet with a chain saw. They wanted all there money up front, the other places we looked at requested half down and half on install, i should of known then they were not dependable at that point. i was told by Andrew it is in my contract were they decide to cut, i asked why did they have us draw it on the slab, and if that was the case why didn't someone at least call us and let us know the original l plan would just not work. That is why they want all there money up front, bait and switch Please see link for detailed explanation: https://docs.google.com/document/d/19fiudgHq5gu9WT1n7NjLmwBpWffAmTGmhKskPQ8R7SE/edit?usp=sharing read more
