Jeffrey has walked our pug since the day after we rescued him from NYC and brought him home to Boston. He is without question the best dog walker anyone could ask for. Our pug has very poor eyesight, and at first, was unable to walk up and down the stairs of our condo building (among other special needs.) Within days, Jeffery had him bopping up and down the stairs like it was nothing, and he played such an important role in getting our dog adjusted to our new home and neighborhood. He takes our pug out for a fabulous adventure every day - whether it's to Old Ironsides, the State House, or down to the Charles on a hot summer day. He always sends an e-mail re-cap, and typically a great photo or video of what they did, which always makes us smile knowing our pup had a fun day. Jeffrey is 110% reliable and accountable - and always willing to help us out at the last-minute as well if we're in a pinch with our work schedules. The best part of Jeffrey's services are perhaps his boarding services. There is no one else on the planet we trust as much as Jeffrey to make sure our dog is loved and well taken care of while we are away - and that his special needs are attended to - so we can actually relax and enjoy a vacation without stress or worry. Jeffrey has been walking my dog around the East Cambridge area for almost a year now, and I am extremely pleased with his services.  He is very responsible, personable, and really knows how to interact with all types of dogs.  He goes out of his way to send email updates after each walk, along with photos and videos from the outing.  I love it!  He often takes my dog on extra long outings just because he feels like it, and the weekend she spent boarding with him was like doggie summer camp!  She walked all over Boston, saw the sun rise over Jamaica Pond, played with other dogs, and went swimming. I am pretty sure she didn't even miss me. I feel confident that she is safe and having a wonderful time with Jeffrey and his other dogs every time, and she gets a ton of exercise and playtime/socialization so that she is tired out at the end of the day (my dog has a LOT of energy).   I've interacted with many dog-walkers, and Jeffrey is by far the best one.  Additionally, I prefer email communication over text, and Jeffrey is adept and very responsive to all forms of communication. The Fetching Hound rules!!! When I moved to Charlestown, about a month ago, I was on a mission to find a dog walker as awesome as my last. (I moved from Southie and my old dog walker unfortunately couldn't cover Charlestown.) That I did! From the first moment I spoke to Jeffrey on the phone I had a good feeling. Then when he came over to meet our pup Layla and talk a a little more about his services I just knew he would be the right fit! Jeffrey and Layla seemed to connect immediately. Layla has has been walking with Jeffrey and Thien, who is also wonderful, for a little over a month now and it has been an outstanding experience for all. Layla is content and tired after her romps around Boston and its parks and I thoroughly enjoy the videos and pictures I receive daily showing how much fun she is having socializing with the other pups. He is very organized, gives ample notice of closures on holidays, proactively seeks feedback with the goal of improving his services, and is just generally very responsive to any questions and inquiries one may have. Dog Lovers take note - The Fetching Hound is tops! We met Jeffrey this spring initially signing up for a couple of days a week. Our 8 yo (we think) lab, Sammi, quickly let us know how happy she was the days he came. A spell at work required 2 weeks of 5 days a week - well, that did it - we've signed up for everyday since. Jeffrey is outstanding in his professionalism, his communication skills (daily emails accompanied usually by a picture or two or video!), but most of all his special spark with the animals - he has that rare capacity to instantly read the animal and connect and just knows what they need and what they will respond to - added to that his caring of the owners - well, you just won't find a better person for your pet. This team is beyond fantastic, they go above the call of duty for our dog! We have a very stubborn 2 year old English Bulldog who LIVES for his pack walks. That's right, a English Bulldog that likes to walk... he may need some extra coxing some days but this team ALWAYS gets him going! Zara has thrived with Jeffrey and their adventures. As a very shy dog, she started in a kill shelter in Tennessee and made it to Boston to a life she could never have dreamed of. Jeffrey has been wonderful in helping me to expand her horizons and enjoy the city and new experiences it offers to her. She loves nothing more than hanging with Jeffrey and her 4 legged friends. He is so in tune with the pups in his care, knowing their needs and helping them to become more sure of themselves in uncomfortable situations. The Fetching Hound is truly the best of the best. Our pup Layla has been cruising the neighborhoods and boarding with them since 2015. Thien, Glenn, and Mike are awesome dog walkers and great people! They keep it fresh by exploring areas outside your immediate neighborhood and switching it up between on leash walks and park sessions. They are very thoughtful and considerate of the weather always bringing plenty of water on those hot days and adjusting walk length and location when it's extremely hot or cold. When Layla had her knee repaired they were happy to accommodate her needs of shorter more frequent outings. It feels so good to leave our precious dog in such good hands. Jeffrey is reliable, friendly, professional, and so fantastic with dogs. You can tell he loves what he does and tries to make every walk into an adventure for the pups. In fact, he often takes the dogs for much longer walks than you even pay for! Jeffrey is the best!! My husband and I needed a walker for our Bernese Mountain Dog, Lily, and were having trouble finding someone in the area willing to take on a big dog and be flexible around our crazy work schedules. Lily had also never been on group walks before and isn't good in the summer heat. But then we met with Jeffrey, and he addressed all our concerns and was just so easy to work with. He's basically everything you could ever ask for in a dog walker -- and, most importantly, Lily absolutely adores him. Jeffrey has walked our pup Layla from the first week we got her and he is amazing!! We trust him completely and he has played a big role in Layla's development.
