Kai and the Happy Paws team blew my expectations out of the water. The only reason I'm no longer with them is because I moved, otherwise I would still be using them. Kai was super thorough during sign ups. She came to my house for a 1 on 1 consultation (COVID safe of course) and talked to me about Tilley's needs and what she could offer. I ended up having Tilley walked 3x/week. I swear my little girl had an extra wiggle each time she came home from her pack walk. Matt was Tillz dog walker and I truly have nothing but great things to say about him. He is prompt, so nice, and Tilley absolutely loves him. He is the only person she will bolt downstairs for at the door (she's a little lazy, I usually need to give her a little tug). She came back happy, exercised, and exhausted. All the things I want my little fur-ball to feel after a nice long walk. Also, I had a training session with Bria and she is a lifesaver. She trained me how to train Tilley and I've never looked back; Till is like a different dog now. I will 100% be using her services for training in the near future. All in all, I highly recommend Happy Paws for all of your pups needs (I say pups because no matter the age, all dogs are pups). If you're in the area, the team certainly won't disappoint! read more

Happy paws has walked our dog for years and watched him on a few sleepovers. They are fantastic!

Kai and her team at Happy Paws are amazing! They have been walking our dog since he was a puppy...even helped train him to walk properly on a leash. The team goes above and beyond all the time for us, including sleepovers and allowing our dog to be part of our wedding. The best part, our dog would agree! He is super excited to go on his pack walks every day with Matt. Cannot recommend Happy Paws enough. You and your dog(s) will love them! read more

Happy Paws is an amazing group of dog lovers! We feel very luck to have found Kai and her colleagues. We really cannot thank her team enough. We have learned so much on how to understand the behavior of our little french bulldog. Kai and her team focus on the energy of the dog, which really resonates with us. We have worked with Kai for behavior training and our little pup gets walked daily by her team! Being a new dog parent can be fun, but overwhelming at times too. I have learned how to communicate with our stubborn little pup, all thanks to Kai and her team. Being a dog walker or trainer is one thing, but to give parents the peace of mind and knowledge-base such as Kai's team has, is priceless. Thank you so much, we appreciate you! read more

I can't tell you what a relief it is to know that happy paws is taking care of my boy shadow. With previous walkers, he has been pretty lukewarm on their arrival, but when Kai and her team come to pick him up he is so happy! That tells me everything. They are dependable and friendly and everything I hoped for in a pet care service read more

Kai and the Happy Paws team are incredible. I found Kai when I desperately needed a reliable, accommodating, and caring dog walker for my dog Ollie. Ollie has been a nervous guy since being rescued and both Kai and her team went out of their way to get to know Ollie and help him walk and socialize. Kai also introduced me to a trainer who's helped Ollie work on his anxiety. Ollie has always been treated like family and LOVES when they arrive to get him. I'm very sad to be moving away from this incredible company but would 10/10 recommend them. You get an adorable report card daily and a sweet picture of your pup. If you're looking for a quality team of walkers that truly care and treat your pups like family Happy Paws is the way to go! read more

The Happy Paws team is just fantastic! Kai and Ali have taken wonderful care of our Bailey, and we have noticed immense improvement with respect to her leash manners and overall behavior. The Happy Paws team is flexible, reliable, communicative, and truly great at what they do! read more

Happy Paws has been a lifesaver for us. Kai and her team are reliable, flexible, and helpful. Our dog is always so excited to see his walker arrive and he always returns from his walks happy and tired. We also love getting sent a photo after each walk. We highly recommend Happy Paws! read more

We have been using Happy Paws for a little over two years and could not be happier. Kai and Clayton truly treat our dog like he is their own. We use them daily for dog walking services and have used them for boarding numerous times. We always feel comfortable boarding him; we know our dog is being taken care of and loved, and that is so reassuring when you are away from your pet. They're also flexible and easy going if your plans change. I'm incredibly forgetful about remembering to book his walks and Kai is very gracious about it. I have seen some dog walkers in Southie who appear as if the dogs are a big chore for them and they don't seem particularly engaged. The Happy Paws staff (including a few other team members who have occasionally taken care of our dog) clearly love what they do and it shows in the way they treat the dogs. read more

We have nothing but amazing things to say about Kai and all the help we've had from her and her walkers at Happy Paws. We've been with her for quite a few years and had two dog walkers overall, both of whom were great. They were timely, reliable, and our dog absolutely loved them. Kai and her team always went above and beyond. Could not more highly recommend!! read more

I have been using Kai for about 5-6 months now. We use her one on one dog walking services. Tucker is a 14 month old, 50 lbs black lab/?? mix. I specifically like that she has one on one services. I have seen dog walkers around handling 4, 5, 6, dogs and it looks like a mess to me. I also saw a dog walker today in South End lose a dog who ran across a busy road, and while trying to chase down that dog, she lost control of her 2 other dogs!! Luckily all 3 dogs were ok, but that is NOT a situation I want my dog to get into. Personalized attention is the best! Kai not only offers an amazing dog walking service but she is also a great resource. Any behavioral, diet, etc. questions that we have are answered by Kai! For example, Tucker had an upset stomach for 1-2 days and wasn't eating anything. We texted Kai and asked a few questions on what we should watch for before sending him to the vet. She gave some good advice and made us feel at ease. She also gives us very beneficial CONSTRUCTIVE feedback regarding Tucker's pulling, barking when someone is at the door, etc. If you are a dog owner who is not afraid to hear that your dog did something bad (it takes time to train a puppy!), Kai will be perfect for you. She has an easy online booking system but also responds to last minute text messages. I've texted her asking for a "day of" walk numerous times, and she is always happy to help. I highly recommend Kai to anyone. read more

I have called upon Happy Paws twice now - once for an extended trip and once in an emergency where I was stranded due to weather. In the first case Kai and her team fed and entertained my two cats and sent me daily photos to keep me up to date on how they were doing. In the second case, I had a flight cancelled and ended up in a situation where I knew I would be stranded for two days. Kai was able to drop by to take care of my cats on very short notice. I would highly recommend Happy Paws and will continue to use them. read more

I really can't praise Kai and the Happy Paws team enough! They really go above and beyond to take care of your pets; they treat them like family. Our pup gets walked 4 times a week and he loves every minute of it. I also love that almost every day, the walker will send a picture to you and write a personal note about how the walk went. I highly recommend their services to anyone that needs a dog walker. I have also used Kai for dog training as well and was able to see improvements on my dogs behavior within a week. They take pride in their work and love your pet just as much as you do! read more

I highly recommend Happy Paws' services to anyone! My pup Sophie gets walked 2x a day, I've boarded her with Kai and used training services with Bria and I have nothing but great things to say. I can tell the employees truly care about the dogs in their care - and I've heard some nightmare stories about other daycare/walker services in the area. Would not trust anyone else with my dog!!! read more

Highly recommended - I started using happy paws when I moved to south Boston from Dallas after a few failed rover attempts. I knew my fur babies were in safe hands from our introductory visit when Kai came to meet my dogs in person ahead of their first walk. My dogs participate in hour long daily walks with Ali and the occasional sleepover at her house. The service is consistent and reliable. My dogs are better behaved and happier as a result. I get pictures and a daily summary of their adventures. The best part is don't have to worry as I know my dogs are in safe/professional hands. While you make your bookings through a portal the service is still very personal. I know I can always email if I have an issue. Like forgetting to schedule booking. After just a few weeks of been a client I received a framed photo of my girls for Xmas. An unexpected but treasured gift. read more

Kai and her team have been truly amazing with our pups. We have had consistent walkers who have been loving, attentive, careful and amazing with our dogs. Kai runs her business incredibly professionally and we have LOVED working with her. Cannot recommend Kai and her team enough. Kai runs Happy Paws and takes care of our two crazy dogs and we absolutely are so lucky to have found such a wonderful organization to walk them and board them. They care so much for the dogs they watch after and honestly when we started our dogs were disasters on the leash. We saw significant improvement since they have been waking with Kai and her team - it's training built into dog walks. It's phenomenal. I cannot say enough great things about Happy Paws. read more

Fabulous experience with Happy Paws Boston. The sitters were prompt, friendly, and knowledgable!

Happy Paws has saved my life! I moved to South Boston from Ohio and did not know a single person to help me with my dog. I work very long days and I can ALWAYS count on Happy Paws to help me out. From the reliable service to the easy to use website to schedule my walks, Happy Paws is the best dog walking company in Boston!! They treat your kids like their own and they are trained professionals. I highly recommend Happy Paws! read more

We were in search for a new dog walking company to not only come in and walk our golden doodle Charli during the week while we are at work but also to train her. We found Kai and Happy Paws and had 3 training sessions with Kai and she was so helpful and knowledgeable about training Charli and giving us tips/tricks & useful techniques to use with her on a daily basis. We still use these techniques after 8-9 months on a daily basis and they have been very useful with keeping her in line. For our weekday walks they are very reliable and always provide us with a note we can come home to each day so we know what they were up to. We know that Charli is in great hands with Happy Paws and make us feel comfortable coming into our home each day. read more

This is a fantastic dog-walking business in South Boston - reliable, well-run and very invested in the wellbeing of dogs in the pack. Our two dogs are very well-cared for on their walks, and the feedback we get every days is helpful and comprehensive. We have also used the services for training and sleepovers (both excellent). We are sorry to be leaving the area as we won't be able to work with Kai and her team any more. read more

We love Happy Paws!! We recently got our puppy, Otis, and Kai and her staff have been excellent! She is incredibly professional, efficient and always immediately responds to requests/messages. We also love that Kai is an experienced trainer and has her own dog, so she has been a great resource for our new puppy! Happy Paws also has a very convenient online system for both booking and payment. Anyone looking for dog walking or training services in Southie should put Kai and her team at the very top of their list! read more

The first impression is not always the right one. I was impressed by the passion of Kai about dogs but then I got a really bad experience. She was not able to take care of my dog all the time I was out for a trip and she suggested me a dog hotel. I replied that I was more comfortable to have the dogs at home with another dog walker and I tired to search one. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find it and I sent to Kai messages and e-mails in order to ask her to go ahead with the dog hotel. The result is that my dogs were left alone in the apartment since Tuesday morning to Wednesday afternoon (one day before the date I was aware she can't take care anymore of my dogs). I discovered this because the manager of my building called me and informed me about this... he told me that Kai was upset about the fact I was searching another dog walker. At the end the manager brought the dogs to a dog hotel. Last but not least, when asking explanation to Kai she started to say that my dogs are aggressive. I have all the reports from her saying my dogs are lords. The dog hotel itself when asked told me my dogs behaved very well. One of my dog got an internal bleeding and nobody (neither Kai or the dog hotel) noticed it, I saved his life by miracle. read more

I don't know where to begin. Kai and Happy Paws have been a blessing to us and the answer we have been looking for for our puppy puggle, Sweeney. My boyfriend and I have had a bit of a struggle starting off with our first puppy and Kai has been amazing. We started off by just needing a walking service and ended up getting a trainer and a new addition to our family. Kai has identified our problem areas and has been working with us on how to fix them. She personalizes your sessions to tailor your needs. Not only does she loveee her dogs, her skillset is amongst the best out there, as she studied under Cesar Millan. We would recommend Kai and Happy Paws to anyone and cannot give a high enough review of the company. If you want professional, affordable, and effective training/walking while having your dog be loved just as much as you love them....then Happy Paws is where you should turn!!!! read more

We used Happy Paws for about 7 months for our 11 month old puppy. At first Happy Paws and Kai seemed reliable and flexible. She was helpful with her tips and tricks for puppy training and walking services. We informed her that, because of our fluctuating work schedules, we would have some weeks of walks every day and other weeks in which we would only need her once. She was more than happy to accommodate. We developed a personal relationship with her that we believed was very strong. She was constantly saying how much she loved our puppy and enjoyed being a part of all our lives. Then, one day, completely out of the blue, she blind-sided us and let us know that she would no longer be providing walks. She sent us a "termination" email at 9 p.m. that was incredibly cold and lacked any sort of personal touch. The termination was also effective immediately. When we contacted her to get our keys back and ask about the situation, she let us know that dog walking was a waste of her time since she was a professional trainer. She was rude, unprofessional, and unapologetic. The whole situation was a disaster and it left us high and dry without a walker for our great puppy. read more

Kai and the Happy Paws family have been walking my wheaten terrier, Olivia for the past year. I cannot recommend Happy Paws enough! My dog is so thrilled every time Ali picks her up and has the best time. Olivia started last year as a shy pup and she has fully grown into a brave girl! Liv become part of the family at Happy Paws and spent many weekends sleeping over with Ali and her greyhounds. I always know she is in good hands. I am very thankful for the flexibility and kindness that i have received from Kai and her team. If you are looking for the best dog walker in Boston, look no further! read more

We got our yellow lab puppy, Tucker, last summer and knew we needed a dog walker. After a quick yelp search, I found Kai and the Happy Paws Boston team. Upon meeting Kai, we instantly knew that we wanted to hire her. Kai is extremely knowledgable, professional and passionate about all things doggies! In addition to offering excellent dog walking services, Kai is a highly trained and talented trainer. She is trained under the Cesar Milan approach. It's amazing to watch how positively dogs respond to her, and how quickly she can teach, train and change a dog's behavior! We've used Kai and the Happy Paws team for everything: pet sitting services, dog walking and training. Kai, as well as every single employee of the Happy Paws team, is incredibly reliable and friendly. The entire team goes out of their way to treat Tucker as their own. I really like that Kai offers 1:1 walks as well as pack walks. We love coming home to a tired a happy pup and reading the detailed note about Tuck's walk. We continue to learn so much from Kai and are so grateful we found her. We really struck gold in finding Kai and the Happy Paws team! read more

Choosing Happy Paws was the best decision we made when it came for caring for our pooch. Kai (owner) is a true dog whisperer. We utilized happy paws for daily walks, training sessions and dog sitting. Kai is absolutely amazing. I was referred to her by a friend over a year ago as a potential trainer for my corgi puppy Lola who was having some nipping issues and just needed general puppy training as well. After meeting with Kai we were 100% comfortable with her and so was our pup. She does an initial meeting and tailors her sessions around your goals for your dog. She is always there with suggestions, but she makes sure you are comfortable with what you are working on and checks in to make sure you are following through with the training. She created a super personalized plan for us and it worked great! She has also been a consistent resource for me to reach out to even since our initial training. She is available for followups, any questions you may have, and is just an all around great person to work with. I would strongly recommend her to anyone, if you are looking for a great trainer in the Boston area, defiantly give Kai a call! read more

I have been using Happy Paws for over a year now and I have nothing but positive things to say! I have been using Kai and Happy Paws for a little over a year now and I truly cannot say enough good things. I got my adorable French Bulldog last April and knew right away I was going to need some serious help training the little guy. It was important to me to have someone help train/ enforce obedience while on his daily walks because honestly, in the beginning he was like the Tazmanian Devil. Luckily Kai was patient enough to work with me and show me the things she learned while training with Cesar Milan. She took the time to teach him commands, how to walk with the leash without pulling and be a more calm, well behaved puppy all around. She has even gone above and beyond to watch Beau when I've had to travel for work. It's comforting to know she is going to take care of him just like she would for her very own. Beau has had a few allergy episodes/ issues with his breathing, so Kai made a few great suggestions for allergy medicine I could use to help with his breathing and always checks in later that night and the next day to see how he's doing. When I was moving she offered to take Beau overnight for me which was so thoughtful and a HUGE help to not have to worry about him while I was trying to make it through the horror of moving. She is so understanding of everyone's crazy busy schedules and has really gone above and beyond many times to make my life (and other client's lives) much easier. She is so incredibly knowledgeable about everything related to dogs and has been such a wonderfully helpful resource and friend to both me and my pup. I couldn't ask for more from a Dog walking/ training service and always highly recommend her to anyone who is looking. read more

kai has been the best personal dog trainer for my new labradoodle.I had a labradoodle before my new pup who I loved very much but never was trained. He would jump on people and walk way ahead of me pulling at every thing that caught his eye.at night when having dinner she would beg for food .After working with Kai and my new pup Diva for the past few sessions she walks right next to me on a loose leash never jumping and trying to get to other dogs and having dinner makes things alot more relaxing when she goes to her bed to sit while we eat.She is alot calmer and much easier to be around.THis training has made me love Diva even more. If you are looking for professional, reliable and caring pet sitters that will treat your pets as their own, look no further than Happy Paws Boston. Kai and her team are fantastic. I have two very social cats and I travel a lot. It is always hard leaving them, but knowing that the Happy Paws team is there when I am not has made it so much easier. They always send pictures and updates which are fun to recieve, but more importantly, give me peace of mind that my cats are doing just fine in my absence (dare I say even enjoying themselves?). In addition to the wonderful service, I also really appreciate the ease with which I can schedule my appointments and pay online. We do not have enough good things to say about Kai and the Happy Paws crew. We adopted a one-year old lab/pittbull mix this summer and quickly realized this puppy thought he was in charge of us! We met with Kai and loved her right away! The tips she gave us over the course of just a few sessions changed our lives! Our dog now walks on a leash, stays, keeps out of the trash cans, and drops objects when we ask him (all of which he was not doing before). Most importantly, every training tip Kai gave us was easy and doable in our daily lives. She's awesome! We also decided to use Happy Paws for daily dog walking five days a week. Booking is so easy and Kai always gets back to you right away. Our dog walker is reliable and always leaves the best notes. He's always out playing/walking with new dogs and repeatedly visits with the ones he gets along with best. We joke around that our dog has a better social life than us! read more
