I was VERY disappointed in the grooming at the Daily Stroll. I gave very specific instructions on how to cut our Westie and returned to find him shaved...just shaved! Dear Bryn, In response to your update, another one of my concerns was that no one informed me that my 4-month-old puppy would be denied water all day; it was only when I questioned someone about it after finding this out through someone who lives in my neighborhood and witnessing my dog appear in distress. Your company's original answer in 2020 as to why the dogs were denied water was different from the reply you just posted to my page today. If you have changed your practices, I think that is great, but don't be disingenuous about it. I'm so grateful for the Daily Stroll! They have three locations in the Allston/Brookline area, which has been great to access on the way to/from work. The communication across locations is great - for example, I can drop my pup off at one location, and they will walk him over to the groomers and bring him back to drop-off location. My pup also loves boarding with Ana - I try to not get too jealous, but I know he's more excited to see Ana more than me sometimes! She's great with sending pictures and updates when he's boarding with her. Highly recommend! read more

The Daily Stroll has been a life-saver for me and my family. We took in our puppy (Moro) when my human daughter just turned one, and caring for both of them at home was quite the challenge! We were so thankful to find that TDS offered a puppy room, so that my fur baby was able to get socialization and care before she was ready to join the rest of the pack. Initially, we were working with potty training and socialization. The staff at TDS went above and beyond with helping carry-over potty training. Due to our circumstances, Moro was initially trained to potty indoors and had developed an aversion of going potty outside - she would even hold for 5-6 hours when we were outdoors at the age of 2 months! She also had a lot of excitement/nervous peeing issues initially. Eric was very supportive and encouraging, including making sure that she was brought out on potty breaks with another dog that would likely go potty so that she saw that it was ok to do. He has also been very accommodating to my routine for my puppy to minimize her excitement/nervous peeing at drop-off. Nicole has been great with keeping me updated on her progress when I go pick her up. She was just as proud of Moro as I was, when she would actually pee or poop during her walks and when she had fewer accidents throughout the day. Due to our schedule recently, we have been picking Moro up fairly late and we are grateful for Andrew continuing to watch and play with her. We bumped into him recently in the street on our walk and she was so happy to see him. We have only had positive experiences with TDS and their staff. It is so great to see how the staff enjoys and knows all the dogs so well, which makes it comforting to know that she is having a great time and that the staff cares for Moro as much as we do! read more

I recently took my pup to this establishment for the first time due to a recommendation. When I picked my dog up after his grooming appointment. I was told the top of his head was hard to do because he wouldn't let her continue. I reassured her that it was fine and I paid. We walked Into the car and I drove off . My dog jumped in front and that's when I realized his paw was bleeding. You can tell his nail was cut too short I called and emailed to let them know and no one has yet to respond or even acknowledge the mistake. The Daily Stroll & staff are amazing!!! My BFF (best furry friend) seems to absolutely love it here! The first doggie day that I brought Jeb to was fine, but every time we'd show up, he'd start shaking uncontrollably and try to run back to me and avoid the staff-- Jeb is NOT a shy guy. After dropping him off my stomach would be in knots on the drive to work. I decided to get in touch with the daily stroll, they are less than 10 mins from my office(as opposed to an hour), so I felt better knowing that he was close. What a difference the daily stroll made: Jebby is pumped for daycare! When we get there, we are warmly greeted by the staff. Literally everyone has been kind and FUN and responsible and informative. Jeb forgets I'm in the room when I drop him off! His tail wags with happiness as the staff takes him to see his friends! When I return after work, I'm greeted by a happy pupper, who looks like he just had a GREAT day. When we get home Jeb is all tuckered out and ready for some serious cuddles! I want to thank Lydia for doing such an amazing job grooming my pup Lexi! Lexi has not been professionally groomed in over a year and I was nervous about having her groomed again as she is squirmy being brushed and having her fur trimmed at home. The staff answered all of my questions and listened to my concerns. I think I was more nervous than Lexi! She was done in about 1.5 hrs and got the exact cut that I had requested. This place is simply the best. Their open floor plan is perfect for my small, anxious rescue dog who's terrified of new people & enclosed spaces. All of the staff are warm and caring. Pipa clamors to get out of the car when we pull up in the morning, which is a testament to the lengths the staff have gone to make her feel safe and loved. She's also become much more comfortable around other dogs and walks better on leash. Also, the great hours are a relief for those of us who have to stay at the office well past five. read more

Although I haven't yet found the pups (brother and sister preferably) that I'm looking for I had a really good time with the dogs and the staff who were really accommodating to my in-depth questioning. I visited their Brookline location which is really nice and I'm excited to return to check out the next batch of pups. Good to mention that they have really nice space for the dogs to play (if you are thinking about daycare) and they also looked to have a pretty good grooming service. Our dog has been with TDS for daycare for almost 3 years now, and we are really happy with their services. What I love about TDS is their staff keep an eye on the dogs at all times, so if any dogs get hostile towards another, they are stopped immediately. That's why some other reviews here mentioned staff yelling at dogs. To me, misbehaviors deserve to be stopped so all other dogs are safe, so I'm totally fine with that. Another reason why dogs are yelled at is because sometimes they bark relentlessly, and neighbors have complained. I also think that's reasonable. To address another reviewer's comment that the walks are short, that's absolutely not true. I live quite a few blocks from TDS and have seen their staff walking dogs often. read more

Called earlier today asking if I could come in for a walk in nail trim. Was told yes, they accept walk ins and I could come anytime before 5pm today. Spent 30 minutes driving there to be told no sorry we can't do a nail trim. I told the ladies what I was told on the phone and their excuses was that they had cats being groomed and the groomer was not from here. Absolutely horrible customer service and a waste of my time. My boyfriend was told to wait outside for 15 minutes for them to receive our dog and we are so glad he did. What he saw during that time was absolutely appalling. There was a sweet golden retriever puppy, who we saw the first time we came (this is our second), who was getting yelled at. The caretaker slammed her fist repeatedly on the desk and was screaming at the golden puppy to be quiet. This is NEVER acceptable. He also saw that the "walk" that the dogs go on is a walk to a patch of grass in the middle of a BUSY, HEAVILY TRAFFICKED road, where they pee and are promptly taken back. How is that a walk? We are never bringing our dog back and we hope anyone else thinks twice before bringing their babies here. Our dog was trembling when we approached the building for his second day care session. Now we know why. We did think it was strange that the owner kept telling us how loud and annoying he was after his first time (he is only 5 months old.) After seeing what was happening to the golden retriever puppy, I have no doubt these people also yelled and intimidated our dog. If people are trusting and paying you to take care of their loved ones, why are you guys not capable of treating dogs appropriately? To other dog owners: turn away. This establishment is such a poorly run one. Their booking website doesn't even work properly. read more

I bring my dog here once a week and I don't worry about him at all because I know he's in such good hands. He actually can sense when we are close and he starts to pull harder on the leash to get inside. He has a condition where he can't control his water intake (so sad he had a traumatic upbringing), but The Daily Stroll manages it so well. He was asked not to come back to a different daycare because of it, but The Daily Stroll welcomed him with open arms. I also got him groomed there once and they did an amazing job! Better than a lot of other places I've been. My dog is very difficult when it comes to grooming, but they handled him so well and he looked great. I'm surprised people had negative comments about it, but to each their own. I really love The Daily Stroll and so does my dog. Wouldn't take him any other place. My dog totally wiped himself out there from playing all day and the other dogs there seem great. The staff is so friendly as well! read more

Overall everyone seemed friendly enough with the animals and owners at drop off/pick up but the way this place is run is a hazard. The "play groups" don't have nearly enough attendants for the amount of dogs they have. I once had a friend text me because she saw my pup at the park without anyone. Well turns out that's because they had left him there with a bunch of other dogs with no supervision while they grabbed even more dogs. Not to mention they have taken dogs with known aggression without a care for other peoples safety. I'd also been told by a worker I'm not sure is still there that if I wanted my other dog to enjoy herself not to bring it to the little dog location like I was planning(she gets nervous with some larger dogs). This is because apparently at that location the dogs are expected to be silent and will get yelled at or sprayed with water for barking because it disrupts the neighbors. Why put a dog daycare somewhere that is noise sensitive. I had also inquired about grooming a while back but chose not to use their services after seeing it's treated pretty much like another daycare instead of a spa. There's dogs running around everywhere and just seems like a super chaotic environment for dogs to get groomed especially when I assume most dogs don't like it to begin with like mine. They also don't check any vaccination or vet records in the grooming department which really threw me off as every salon I've went to has at least asked for proof of one or 2 vaccines. This makes me question the safety of the animals there because all it takes is one sick dog to spread it around when they are all playing. read more

We love the Daily Stroll's doggie daycare. Don't let the negative grooming reviews give you a less than positive impression of this place. Our pup, Kai, started going to the Daily Stroll at 4 months and we have only stopped recently because we moved a little too far away. We took Kai to the Allston location, so I can't speak for the Brookline location. It is not a glamorous facility, so if that's what you're looking for, it might not be up your alley, but they take exceptionally good care of their dogs. I had a lot of trouble finding a good place for Kai because the "glamorous" locations with shiny signs and fancy scheduling systems often did not seem to do a very good job of taking care of or supervising dogs. The Daily Stroll on the other hand has an enormous amount of space. At the Allston location they have separate areas when dogs need to be split up but they don't crate which I really like. There are always very conscientious staff on hand. Sometimes we would go a few weeks in between visits but whoever was there, even folks I hadn't met before, knew Kai and his traits and generally how to handle him. Also, their pricing is very competitive, their scheduling system is flexible, and their payment system is easy to use. read more

Disappointing groomer. I have had bad experiences with her before too (when she shaved my dog) but once after that she did fine and so I went again today. First thing, my dog started shivering after seeing her and walking backwards which is a horrible sign. Then she tells me he has matting which are a few, each smaller than a penny, and she was going to suggest shaving again and I left immediately. I'm still confused what she has done to my dog that makes him scared of him months after. read more

TDS is absolutely amazing. I send my dog, Dakota, roughly 2-3 times a week and she has such an amazing time. Every time she gets home after a day at daycare, she passes out immediately and always runs up to the door the next time we go! We are very happy with The Daily Stroll for daycare and grooming. We have been using TDS for daycare for a little over a year. I love dropping Bentley off to excited greetings by TDS staff. They keep a close eye on the pups at all times and I trust that Bentley is well cared for. I really appreciate that the staffing is relatively consistent without a ton of turnover, they seem to know the dogs' personalities and behaviors well. The staff at the Daily Stroll go above and beyond making sure our pup is safe and happy at playgroup every day. We often get fun notes saying that Luna (our dog) had so much fun, who her BFF was at playgroup, and what games she liked to play (in addition to if she went #1 or 2, or both). They've been able to accommodate my schedule as needed, are highly responsive, and always keep us updated if anything comes up with Luna while she's in their care. My dog is very nervous while getting her nails clipped (and quite dramatic) and the daily stroll has made sure that she's well taken care of - even making sure she has her anti-anxiety meds well in advance of her nail trims, while still making sure she can play with her friends in the morning! The daily stroll is basically a one stop shop. They walk my dog twice a week and groom her when she needs it. They also have other services like doggie daycare, but I do not use this. I can tell they actually care about their customers and their pets. They are very professional and rates are reasonable. Will be keeping my business here for as long as I am in the area. Have been taking our little girl Bella to The Daily Stroll for a few years now and haven't been disappointed. They know her by name and know the haircut we like her to have! Bella gets scared of bigger dogs and is apprehensive on going into the store but its no different than me going to the dentist, I don't want to go - but I am glad I went afterwards! Do not send your dog to The Daily Stroll. We trusted TDS with our small Cavalier King Charles Spaniel for their small dog daycare in Coolidge Corner. One day, we realized they had been using a Pronged Training Collar on him for walks without our consent. They had never said anything about his reactivity on walks when we asked for feedback about his behavior, and he weighs under 15lbs. Apparently, they have "elderly dog walkers" who will use these training devices without permission because they cannot handle walking the dogs (why they are then hired to do this job, we have no idea). This seemed like a ridiculous excuse and it became clear to us that this was not a safe place for our dog to attend daycare--a legitimate daycare would clear any sort of training device/regimen with a pet's owner before implementing it. And for them to have left the awful collar on the whole day is terrifying-our dog could have gotten hurt if it got caught on another dog/object. Our dog will not be going back to TDS daycare and we will never use any of their other services. Their staff cannot be trusted to keep dogs safe or be honest with their clients about how they handle dogs. read more

My dog will not go to any other daycare, and I can understand why. Their space is large and open for playtime--and well air conditioned, which is important on hot days!--and the comfy couches are great for naps. The dogs I've met here are *great*, playful and fun, and my pup comes home tired and happy at the end of the day. Unlike every other daycare place I've seen in the Boston area, dogs here get to go outside several times a day to relieve themselves. This is important for my dog, who won't go indoors. It also just seems more humane not to force a dog to pee and poop where they play. Most importantly, the staff are all fabulous. We are infrequent customers, since I work from home most days--but whenever we come, they all know my pooch and welcome her with affection and care! They are all ways so friendly and caring of our dog. They make sure to fill us in after every walk and take great care of our precious cargo. They also make it very easy in case you need to cancel a walk. Our dog always can't wait till they take him and and comes back with a huge smile on his face. They are the cheapest place in the area and their service is second to none. I really recommend this place to anyone who wants to make sure their dog is in good hands!!
