What a cool place! We were invited by a friend and had never been there before, despite living across the river for 20 years. Great lineup of awesome artists. We loved the vibe of the place, the food was fantastic. The service was a little iffy. It does get really busy and they don't have a ton of people serving, so just be patient. Our server did forget to bring something that we ordered, but it wasn't a big deal. The venue itself is definitely worth visiting. You can see some incredible artists there on a donation basis. All of the money goes to the artists, which is really great. There is some street parking, parking behind the venue, and parking in a separate space one street over. Friends of mine attended a great event at the Falcon. The Band was fantastic. The food was also good. The cost is were they were hoodwincked. They were charged above their bill, that was $28.26 which the customer was going to pay down to the penny in CASH. And at payment it was when she was informed that cash payments were now being round up and not just to the dollar. "It's illegal only if they don't tell you about it before hand" in writing. it is supposed to be disclosed to all customers either by signs in the restaurant or on the menu, which it isn't. This venue is lovely. There is a gorgeous waterfall that you can view as you walk down the path. Lots of seating. The night we were there there was only one band but it seems to have space for two or three to play at the same time. The service was excellent. Really friendly and cared that you were getting what you ordered. The food? Meh. It was okay. I give it a 3. The menu isn't very extensive. I have already forgotten what I got. Beer was also a little weird tasting. Still a terrific place to see a band. And the bathrooms? Chefs kiss!! Five stars. We will definitely be back but might have dinner elsewhere. read more

Wow! This is the place to be on a Sunday night. Live music, some of the best jazz I've heard (we came here to see Don Byron). Acoustics are great, you get a good mix everywhere in the house, although it's too loud for conversation (more of a concert vibe than background dining music), which is great, because the music is where it's at. It's very dark in here during the show. Reserve a table! Food and drink: they had one vegetarian entree and it was sold out early in the night, but luckily they have some substantial vegetarian appetizers. Plenty here for meat, poultry and fish eaters as well. Good selection of wine, beer, cocktails and mocktails. The servers do their best to keep up with the pace, and they're friendly. Getting there early is strongly recommended to avoid any conflict. There is a decent amount of room while moving around. However, do take caution as the main lights are off since it's hard to see. Most of the tables are pretty much close to one another which adds up to be careful. I think making it a little bit wider would be a great benefit to avoid any issues. The menu has quite a lot to offer, especially with the burgers and sandwiches, and also libations. There's a variety to pick from within those categories which brings on the food and drink game. They have great service and are very accommodating throughout the whole experience, especially refilling any drinks when it's halfway without asking. We visited a weekday evening in the summer just to check it out. We were so surprised at how large the space was, and how you could walk the grounds in the back with a drink in hand and explore the different floors. Beautiful space, kind of surreal. We were not expecting a show as it was very tame and there were just about 10 people around, yet there were a few performers who seemed to be regulars and really enjoyed just playing together. It was rejuvenating to be somewhere that didn't try to be "cool." We had two black cherry ciders and thewonton ahi tuna nachos. Very delicious. The waiter was very friendly as well, taking their time to ensure my allergy was taken into account with the food. Would like to be back. read more

Wow this place is amazing! It's two floors of awesome music memorabilia with huge dining areas and a bar on each floor. It's an awesome place for live music. No indoor dining right now due to covid but outside dining is perfectly spaced, complete with waterfall and a stage for musicians to do their thing. The servers definitely get a workout running up and down the many levels set with private tables. The tables each had a small candle that a friendly host came to light for us. Our server was so nice and took the time to show us around inside. She apparently loves this place too, so gladly telling us all about it. I fell in love with it. This place should be packed. The atmosphere is fun and upbeat, the food is good although I heard the menu has changed due to the pandemic. If you are lucky enough to be there at sunset you will see the bats flying to their nightly destination! Show this place some love and pay it a visit. Great spot for live music and killer drinks. We didn't try the food as we came for after drinks but we will be making a return trip. If for no other reason than the view from the patio! I didn't know a lot about the venue before we visited and learning about the donation-based ticketing for visiting performers is very cool. The Falcon is a pretty cool spot for live music. I've never been there before but have driven past it at least 200 times. We were there last weekend to see Lindsey Webster. She's a great jazz vocalist from Woodstock with an amazing voice. This was my second time seeing her. She is quite popular in the smooth jazz world. We had small bites and drinks. The service is super polite and very fast. The food was good. It didn't knock my socks off but it was tasty. The atmosphere is remarkable. There's two levels/floors and two live shows going on at the same time. Parking was a bit of a hassle but to be fair, we didn't know about the extra parking lots. We also didn't know we needed to reserve a table in the venue. We hung out at the bar for an hour and they did seat us. No matter where you're sitting, you'll get a great view of the stage. If you like live music in a place that gives you a NYC vibe in The Hudson Valley, go to The Falcon. read more

NO HEATERS OUTDOORS. They have plenty of space but no heaters at all and you had to ask to have the table candle lit which didn't last an hour. Service was slow, coffee in paper cup got cold while I waited for cream and sugar. Overpriced considering they said the musicians work on tips, seriously? They don't pay them anything? Sad. $48 for salty burger and 2 drinks, that's a bit nuts. Part of that should've gone to singer and/or HEATERS. Was much better for indoor entertainment. Loads of restaurants have the outdoor thing down with enough lights, heaters and candles but they're just lacking. Will be back for the music- they probably know that maybe that's why no effort for comfort. Three stars for the music, Tracy Bonham was excellent. She should be playing at better venues. read more

Although we didn't have an opportunity to stay for live music, the staff was super down to earth and the drinks were phenomenal. The walls are covered with different posters and Art Deco lights. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Our favorite part was the back patio that leads to Marlboro falls, however it is temporarily closed due to the winter weather and gravel path. My favorite part of this bar was their unusual but tasty chai martini. I absolutely loved it but the ingredients are not printed correctly on the menu. We've always found a great meal especially in the main room. This time we had the short rib and prime rib dinners. Both were excellent including the sides. At nights like this when it gets packed the staff can be overwhelmed. But they have a good system where various helpers bring out the orders. What a special place and a special night of music. It was too bad I had already eaten because the food looked great too. I wasn't sure what to expect on my first visit due to the nature of a small town feel. I would like to say this place is a diamond in the rough, but after spending a little time in the town and the great hospitality, this place is a diamond amongst diamonds. I am very encouraged to return for another great show. I donated money for the musicians and I suggest everyone should pitch in what they can. It's about an hour and a half ride up 87 or the Taconic parkway from NYC and considering I can spend two hours driving a half a mile in the city, it's worth the trip! read more

I've been to The Falcon several times over the past few years. Only once was I very upset about the way our party of four was seated (vertically to the stage, so we all had to sit sideways to see the band - AND - our table was significantly and noticeably smaller than the other 4-person tables in our weird, long, vertical row), and nothing was done to assist us by the staff when I complained about it. This became increasing annoying as the night wore on and it became apparent that MANY of those other tables were not being occupied by any other patrons. We could have used them to our benefit instead of being crammed in the way we were. Staff is usually very cordial and I can clearly see every time that I've been there that they are busting their butts to serve everyone, so I do my best not to get annoyed when service is lacking. Sometimes service is remarkably very attentive; sometimes its very marginal. The food is usually pretty darn good, but the prices are a little steep. Beer selections and cocktails are outstanding, but again, expensive. The entertainment is always AMAZING. Tony gets some fantastic acts in his venue! And I LOVE the fact that there are no tickets to buy in advance. You pay for the entertainment via the "honor system" donation box near the front egress. I've often heard Tony tell the audience something on the order of "If times are tough, put in what you can afford, like $5.00 or $10.00 bucks, but if times are great for you right now, be generous and drop the band as much as cash as if you had to actually buy tickets to this show!" read more

The views are breathtaking, the food is excellent (quick bite was awesome- we had a curry chicken gyro which was pretty bomb and brunch was very satisfying) the music was a treat.
