Fun time was had solving this murder mystery. I definitely had better time than I expected. My mom was hell bent on doing an Escape room for my brother's bday. I was hesitant because usually I just end up arguing with my teammates. On this occasion I was with all my family members so we probably argued less than I expected. Overall, we beat the puzzle and it was a good time. The people that work there were very pleasant and eager to offer us clues. This is hands down the most fun I've had at an escape room! My group played their Clockwork Killer room. The staff were super friendly and fun, the room was great for accessibility while still being atmospheric for the game, the puzzles were challenging in a really fun way. Only one from our group was a local but the rest of us are totally coming back again! Also didn't catch the lady's name that started the game for us (she had the awesome dinosaur earrings) but she was an absolute joy and totally made the whole experience super fun for everyone! read more

If you are experienced in escape rooms, I would not do the Conquered Embassy. We chose this one because it had a 30% success rate and we have done quite a few escape rooms all over the country. We got out in 26 minutes and we were genuinely confused as to how it was that easy. We didn't even go to the final code right away because we thought there was no way we were done that fast. I could see how one of the puzzles would hold people up but even if it did hold us up, I'm still disappointed at how many puzzles there were to solve and how easy they were. The instructional video at the beginning was more creative than the room. Very disappointed. read more

We visited the Escape for a bachelorette party. We had a mixed group-a few of us had done escape rooms elsewhere and a few of us were newbies. The scheduling and pricing were fairly simple, and all of that process went very smoothly. They have a great little waiting area if you're prone to arriving early (I am). The staff on duty were great! The room we did was the mad scientist themed one, I'm embarrassed to say we missed some fairly obvious clues along the way, but in the end we did get "out" with plenty of time to spare! This room had a couple twists I've not seen at other Omaha escape rooms! Worth the money for the experience! read more

If you want a great way to spend a corporate or family or awkward hour, sans acohol, come here. This was soo fun. I had no Idea what to expect. Like some other CMYE events, I knew it would be fun and I was not even remotely sad that we came here.There are a few options for the mystery that you have to solve and our room of 6 people had a blast. This would be great with strangers to get the night started or family that has been away from each other. We gathered some clues, figured out some passages, but ultimately did not exit in time. I need to go back and figure out more. There is great replay value in this as the clues can be subtly changed and remain unique in each experience. read more

We came here for a yelp event this last weekend and had a fantastic time! The idea is that you and a group (friends or strangers) get locked in a room and must solve a mystery to get your code and escape. They currently have thee available mystery rooms for you to solve! We had the one they consider the most challenging, a murder mystery with complex clues, a room full of hidden symbols and unexpected twists! We had to ask for a hint, but with some luck and a few persistent team members we cracked it! The staff is super fun and energetic, I really enjoyed interacting with them and would love to come back for another mystery room sometime soon! Decided to try out one of the three primary "Escape" businesses in and around the Omaha area. The Escape Omaha takes reservations and payment online via their primary website at http://www.theescapeomaha.com/ Reservations are a flat $99.00 per team of between 2 and 7 players. The website says 6 players is the max; however the fire marshal recently allowed them to up their capacity by one. So if you get a full team of 7 together, it works out to be a pretty good deal at approximately $15.00 per person. This is half of what is charged at Entrap Omaha ($30.00 per person) who I also called for a quote. There are four (4) rooms/scenarios to choose from at The Escape Omaha. We choose "The Lost Antidote" which is where an evil scientist has poisoned the city water supply. You and your team have one hour to find the antidote to save the city. Now the description online and the clues in the room don't exactly match up and could be improved on, but ...okay. Staff who introduced us to the room was very friendly and gave us the initial guidance (you don't need to break anything or take anything apart in order to find the clues - sounds like someone speaking from a previous bad experience). Walked us to our room, gave us our instructions, set the timer and we were on our own. Initial impression of the room is that it was somewhat plain with not a lot of props inside. Room had a couple pieces of furniture, several book shelves, and a large wardrobe with several locks on it. You could see several locks containers right away and each one has its' own special place. The door to this room is not actually locked. You have a red light around the door that can be turned off when you enter in the correct key sequence on the adjacent keypad and you "win" the game - we didn't get that far. I will say that we were prepared for some craziness and thought we would have to solve really difficult problems, but some of the clues were almost too obvious and hence overlooked. We read a lot more into what was in the scenario than what was required. Overall, my family enjoyed the room, even though we were somewhat frustrated with our lack of progress. I would like to see the other rooms and see if there is a bit more pizazz to them. If you are on a budget, this is probably one of the better deals in town, but you might not get a super decked out room to explore. We would try The Escape Omaha again. read more

This was an amazing experience! You get locked in a room for 60 minutes and have to solve puzzles and figure out clues to get out. The rooms are themed which makes the experience so much better and more immersive. They have three rooms total at the moment. I already want to go back and try the other two. I'm hoping they come up with different rotations of rooms to keep customers coming back. Each room is $80 total, no matter how many people you have, (2-6), and that price isn't bad at all for the experience. I think the 'sweet spot' for the number of people is 4. Overall, I absolutely loved this challenge and have already bought another room. Can't wait! read more

I only give 4 stars because I think investing in some sound proofing would be nice as we could hear the groups adjacent to us also trying to escape their respective rooms. Not knowing what to expect, we signed up for the Four Brothers room. With a 38% success rate we thought we'd shoot for something relatively do-able so as not to hang out heads in shame from our first challenge. After a brief intro, we're locked in the room and a little over 16 minutes later....viola, we walked out of our room hootin' and hollerin' as if we had been trapped for hours. With the use of inductive and deductive reasoning and a bit of teamwork (let's split up and yell out findings, clues and instructions to each other), we were successful and a good time was had by all. The five of us with tax (did not know about the discount code), the price came to about $80 and change. I appreciate that you sign up for a flat fee per room rather than per person. Would definitely recommend for an hour (or less) of fun and brain work. read more

We've gone 3 times and enjoyed it each time! When we first went, we've never even heard of this before so we had no idea what to expect. The second time, I received a free room from an Instagram contest... we made it out in record time (exciting! But bummed that we made it out in 20 minutes..... what to do now? Lol!) the last time I went, I took a group of friends visiting from IL. They had a BLAST! We've had the same staff each time we've come in.... wish I could remember her name. Talk about an adrenaline rush! This was by far the best feeling in the world, without doing something illegal! When we came out of the room, i was pumped and ready for the next challenge. Escape Omaha offers four different themed rooms, all equipped with clues and mystery. The point of the room is to escape. For our room, it was a 4 digit door lock. Though we didn't make it out of the room, we were so close. This was a great way to spend an evening with close friends and do something different. I can't wait to go back and try again. Escape Omaha offers easy booking on their website. Their website also offers information about each room including statistics. My husband and i agreed that for an X amount of money, we would have paid to be in the room longer. We also thought the meed rooms with the changing seasons/holidays would be a great idea. read more

To be blunt: if your party has ANY experience with ETR games or ANY problem-solving ability whatsoever, you will be disappointed by at least one of the rooms here. My party of five went into the easiest room since even the easiest had a thirty-something percent success rate. Four of us had done a room at a different place before and weren't successful, so we figured we'd take the easy track with these things until our first win. We were out in less than 20 minutes. It was WAY too easy. Most of the clues led to a piece of paper which straight-up handed you the combination to a lock. The clues were completely parallel, so with different team members following different leads there was almost no need for cooperation or teamwork. None of the clues led you to other clues which led you down rabbit holes, etc. Most other places I've been had a setup or story, like "you investigate the apartment of a murdered man, looking for clues about the killer, suddenly you're locked in and there's a ticking time bomb, you have one hour." And there might be a fake bomb ticking down inside a locked box in one corner of the room. Not here. It was just "there's been a murder. Go escape the room." And none of the clues had anything to do with a murder, nothing required any probing into the story, no development of a plot, nothing connected along a story arc at all. With no story, no theme, and no challenge, we all walked out profoundly disappointed. I might be willing to try one of the harder rooms at this place, but only if I'd exhausted all the other ETR games in the area and had a hankering to do one more. read more

What a GREAT time we had. We went with our nephews who are 15 and 17 years old. Wasn't sure how we would work together on our "mission" which was to stop a modern day assasination from occurring by trying to solve clues in a soviet bunker. The gal that checked us in explained the rules very clearly and in a fun way. She then took us into the bunker which was decorated so that you truly felt like you were in a bunker, and we all dove in. It was fun how each person was able to contribute using skills they had that others in our group did not. I think 4 people was the perfect amount for this room...perhaps 5 people, but 6 people would have been too crowded and hectic. We did not complete the mission, but dang it we were ever so close! Maybe 15 more minutes and maybe we would have had it. Regardless...we had a fantastic time and we all decided we are definitely doing this again...very soon!! read more

My experience with this escape room was not the best. I was able to go with my co workers since the company paid for it. This escape room was not fun, most of the clues/hints were extremely redundant. Most of them required solving riddles and flashing backlights on the walls. There were old clues on the walls they tried painting over but were still visible (confusing). The staff was not very interactive with us at all throughout the solving. Entrap Games escape rooms are much more interactive and make the experience fun! Won't be returning or spending my money this. I give them two starts because one of their staff was very nice towards the end. read more

Then this morning we had a participant have bad side effects from her second Covid shot and asked on short notice if we could postpone. This was our first time doing anything like this, but it was a blast! Our group of 6 was a bit hesitant walking into the run down office building turned weekend activity event...but the employees were great. I wish I had remembered her name, but the red headed girl who gave us the introduction clearly loved her job...which was a great way to get the group pumped up for our escape experience! Our group consisted of 3 couples ranging from 27-33 years old, we had a blast! We did the "four brothers" room and got out in about 40 minutes. There was a point in time where we were pretty sure we wouldn't be able to solve it. That being said, we would totally go back for a "harder" or different room. We loved that it was a super short 2 min walk from midtown and made a great Saturday evening out of it! read more

We had a group of 5 in our party and had a great time in the Conquered Embassy room. I think a smaller party is the way to go as larger groups will tend to debate and waste the clock. There were some really fun puzzles in the room that we hadn't seen in the couple other escape rooms we have been to. I like how they book per room and not per person as that seems to be how we get strangers in the room with us. Overall, it was a great time and we will be back to try their hardest room in the future. read more

So, I book the room over 3 weeks out for Thanksgiving evening. I paid for it in full at the time of booking. I received 3 separate confirmation emails about the event. 48 hours before our booking, Nathan calls and says we somehow we "snuck in" and they are NOT open on Thanksgiving. I explained to him we booked and paid for it on November 1st and 3 weeks have past. He offered me another night however that wont work as my family is here on Thanksgiving. He explained he will not leave his family on Thanksgiving and did not care about me leaving a review about his un-professionalism! My family was looking forward to this and is now disappointed. Only reason for 3 stars is the final cost, when the hour had elapsed, the gentleman checked in, said we were close and was just going to allow us to finish. No mention ever of the cost of an additional hour, (for those approximately 10 minutes). We ended up paying double our planned budget. If there's an up charge, always make the customer aware in advance. Even after attempting to communicate our dissatisfaction, no allowance was offered. Buyer beware. read more

Went here for a team outing, had a lot of fun helping solve the "The Conquered Embassy". We unfortunately didn't solve the final puzzle in time, although we had everything need to solve it, we just missed a step somewhere and failed unlock the final container in time which contained the code needed to escape. I would go into more detail, but I don't want to spoil any surprises. Pretty interesting puzzles and clues, and a lot of excitement every time someone figured something new out or opened something containing the next clues. My experience at the Escape Omaha was fantastic! I cannot wait until I can come back again! We we in a room that looked like a soviet bunker and we had to escape before it blew up or something. There were 6 in my group and we were in a beginners room, we escaped with about 20 min left out of the hour they give you. We worked together as a team to solve the clues that gave us access to unlock several props that all led us to the code to unlock the door. The room was very realistic, apart from the cheering we could hear from the room next to us when they escaped. Of course we were actually able to leave whenever we wanted with the emergency exit, but if you leave the room you were not able to come back. It was a ton of fun! read more

I've been to both escape Omaha and entrap games. And entrap games is so much better. They give you clues, a background story, and interact with you. At escape Omaha they just put you in a room , no clues, no background story, no interaction. my advise is to go to entrap, and save your money on escape Omaha, unless you want to be closed into a room for an hour by yourselves for $75. I will be sure to tell our company not to waste money using escape Omaha again read more
