We did Blackbeard's Treasure, and the three of us, my best friend, her husband, and myself were pirates who decided to raid Blackbeard's treasure while he was off doing whatever pirates do. The thing is...we only had an hour before the captain himself came back. This was a challenging room with tons of puzzles to solve. The clues were just challenging enough that we needed to use a few hints, but they weren't so hard that we felt defeated. When we needed clues, the game master was helpful, kind, and had such an awesome sense of humor. He was easy to talk to and approachable. He even showed us his other rooms! And we can't wait to come back and try out Moriarty's next time. If you're looking for a fun escape room that's challenging and run by a really friendly game master, you won't be disappointed!

You can find most of these games at Dave and Busters. The way their point system for games is set up is weird. Let's say a game is 1.5 points--that means they are taking $1.50 from your game card. Many games were 1.5 points, but there were quite a few that went up to 4. So paying $4 to play one game is outrageous and a rip-off, to say the least. At Dave and Buster's, they have a much better system, and your dollar goes a long way compared to this place. Also, some of the claw machines weren't working properly. People would win a toy, but the door wouldn't open to retrieve it. The staff was walking around, and I let them know. They said they were going to get someone, and we waited for maybe 10 minutes, but nobody showed up. I then decided to go find someone working at the shop, and she helped right away. Maybe we will come back and try the bowling and food, but when it comes to the arcade unfortunately we won't be back for that.

The staff were super friendly and fun, the room was great for accessibility while still being atmospheric for the game, the puzzles were challenging in a really fun way. Only one from our group was a local but the rest of us are totally coming back again! I just visited The Escape Room with my wife and four friends, and we had a blast! We all heartily…read morerecommend trying it out. For those not familiar with escape rooms, the premise is simple. You get locked in a room for an hour and work together to solve a variety of puzzles within an hour in order to escape. I don't want to say too much about the puzzles, cause you'll want to experience them for yourself, but there were locks and keys and codes and all sorts of clever devices. There is also a television mounted on the wall that shows how much time you have left, and allows the folks running the show to provide the occasional hint if everyone is totally stumped (a facilitator watches you from behind a one-way window). Having never done an escape room before, this kind of surprised me, but after being in there for 20 minutes it totally made sense to me. It also added some levity. Escape rooms are new to Lincoln, and at the time of this review The Escape Room is less than a month old. There were a few minor kinks in the room, but we had so much fun that it didn't adversely affect our experience. Also, the folks at The Escape Room offered us a free escape experience at a later date, which we gladly accepted. Looking forward to coming back!

Day of the event, doors locked and no one answering the phone or responding to email. After 45 minutes of waiting we had to scramble to find another location and call all of our guests. This was beyond an inconvenience!! I wouldn't recommend using their venue to anyone based on this experience.

It was such a bad experience that we cancelled our reservation to the Alice in wonderland room tomorrow. Flaws: The musical puzzle was ridiculous. You need to know how to read music to solve it. Who would ever think that's a good idea? The answer is CEDE I hope this saves you from having to use a clue. The directional lock is sticking. We got the correct answer and it took FOUR tries to get it to unlock because it's sticking. This room legitimately put half of our group is a terrible mood for the rest of the evening. So sad because escape rooms are our favorite family outing! Hopefully you try a different room and enjoy yourself or they fix the flaws in Baker street.
