You can find most of these games at Dave and Busters. The way their point system for games is set up is weird. Let's say a game is 1.5 points--that means they are taking $1.50 from your game card. Many games were 1.5 points, but there were quite a few that went up to 4. So paying $4 to play one game is outrageous and a rip-off, to say the least. At Dave and Buster's, they have a much better system, and your dollar goes a long way compared to this place. Also, some of the claw machines weren't working properly. People would win a toy, but the door wouldn't open to retrieve it. The staff was walking around, and I let them know. They said they were going to get someone, and we waited for maybe 10 minutes, but nobody showed up. I then decided to go find someone working at the shop, and she helped right away. Maybe we will come back and try the bowling and food, but when it comes to the arcade unfortunately we won't be back for that.

And when you go to check in it's like 1 hour for two people the price drops down to something like $18.95 + $5.95 for each shoe rental. Which I know it's been awhile since I've been bowling but that seemed awfully high priced. We went to look and see if there were any open lanes and one line was open so we went to check in. I'm not going to lie I told my friend I didn't want to stay and do it that I thought that was way too much, but we put our name in cuz they said it'd be about 45 minutes which it was and then as a side note I was irritated to see that the lane we were assigned was the one that we saw was empty when we checked it out. We played games to fill our time which one I reflect on this whole experience I kind of wonder if that wasn't just a play to get people to spend more money there. It's very confusing on ordering and getting drinks and it's also really frustrating because if I had to realized that you needed to go to the bar to get drinks, I would have definitely had my drink before our hour began. The shoes didn't fit right which is frustrating when you figure you're paying essentially $6 to rent them for an hour! They also didn't connect right on the floor it felt like they kept stopping my movement there was something that didn't work with the floor in the shoes - I honestly kept feeling like I was going to hurt myself if I tried to bowl like I know how to walk up and throw a ball. I know part of that is me and it's been a few years since I've been bowling but I do know how to approach the alley and throw a ball but I did not feel safe. The balls are frustrating too there's no real variety of holes or sizes - all of the 12 lb bowls have the same size finger holes. This was true for all the balls which I'm sure makes it easier for them financially to bulk buy, just makes it less the user friendly.

They are able to reset rooms with amazing speed between players and I have had rarely any issues with mistakes when they've been reset. So far, we have done Abraham Lincoln, Batman, and Reindeer Games rooms. My favorite has definitely been Reindeer Games as it's a lighthearted and cute room with tons of puzzles to solve. Batman was a little more difficult if you didn't have much knowledge about it, and Abraham Lincoln has so far been the easiest! Definitely try it out! Overall, I liked the room, however there was one clue/puzzle that really made me annoyed because of technicalities, and you'll know if you do the room. We also found a key that opened a lock box that wasn't meant to be opened with, and that slowed us down a bit because we thought we were missing a key. Staff was great even though the game master kept making some small remarks as we played. I don't particularly like when game masters offer help when we don't ask. If we're messing up, let us cook. We'll ask for a hint when the time and pressure hits.

The staff were super friendly and fun, the room was great for accessibility while still being atmospheric for the game, the puzzles were challenging in a really fun way. Only one from our group was a local but the rest of us are totally coming back again! Also didn't catch the lady's name that started the game for us (she had the awesome dinosaur earrings) but she was an absolute joy and totally made the whole experience super fun for everyone!

The game can fit a lot of people in the space, which is great! I love that there's an option for larger-group escape rooms. However, I don't think the puzzle is difficult enough to keep more than a handful of people busy at a time. If you are a first timer like many of us were this is a great room to start with! (No zombies chasing you there lol!) Tips: Make sure your group arrived ON TIME. This location is downtown so plan accordingly for parking and depending where you park, the walk to the entrance. I just visited The Escape Room with my wife and four friends, and we had a blast! We all heartily…read morerecommend trying it out. For those not familiar with escape rooms, the premise is simple. You get locked in a room for an hour and work together to solve a variety of puzzles within an hour in order to escape. I don't want to say too much about the puzzles, cause you'll want to experience them for yourself, but there were locks and keys and codes and all sorts of clever devices. There is also a television mounted on the wall that shows how much time you have left, and allows the folks running the show to provide the occasional hint if everyone is totally stumped (a facilitator watches you from behind a one-way window). Having never done an escape room before, this kind of surprised me, but after being in there for 20 minutes it totally made sense to me. It also added some levity. Escape rooms are new to Lincoln, and at the time of this review The Escape Room is less than a month old. There were a few minor kinks in the room, but we had so much fun that it didn't adversely affect our experience. Also, the folks at The Escape Room offered us a free escape experience at a later date, which we gladly accepted. Looking forward to coming back!
