First time going to an escape room and I already want to go and try escaping another room! My group and I did the Y2K challenge and had a blast! If you are a first timer like many of us were this is a great room to start with! (No zombies chasing you there lol!) Tips: Make sure your group arrived ON TIME. This location is downtown so plan accordingly for parking and depending where you park, the walk to the entrance. Just did our third room at Get Out. First two were fun and employees were helpful and added to the experience. Today was a 180. Devices did not work and required employee intervention to activate doors and clues did not flow well. When hints were asked for the response that was given was, "I don't have that information available." Really liked this place but will not come back and will not recommend Get Out in the future. Omaha has several escape rooms that are run better and with better employees. read more

This was something cool and different to do with friends. You're put in rooms with different themes, and given an hour to follow clues, and figure out how to escape. As a fair warning, the clues aren't intuitive. At all. If you've played puzzle video games, you'll have an idea what I'm talking about. You have to figure out patterns from written descriptions, and often the connections don't make any sense. But, the people running this seem to understand that. You get three free hints, given over a TV monitor, and we were often given additional hints as well. On top of that, you can ask for extra hands, but each one takes three minutes off your time. And, don't worry about literally being trapped in the room for an hour. You can go out and use the bathroom if you have to, but it does break the mood if you do. Despite frequently head scratching puzzles, this was a huge amount of fun. The best part was having everybody work together, and look around for clues. The setting was also really cool, and knowing that there are three other different settings definitely makes you want to come back and try this again. read more

We had an Amazingly Awesome time at Get Out Omaha. Entering there is desk at the front and some Ipads to the right that you must sign in and register with. The Guy who helped us check in take us to the room and help us was Fabulous. This was my first time doing an escape room and It was way better than what I was expecting. The methods and number of events you must complete were way more and better than I was expecting. We did the Gambler room and had a great time. It had a fun theme and was set up as a Casino wont give out anymore info so as to not Spoil it. We finished with about 6 minutes to spare and thought we did poorly but learned we were some of the very few who even completed the room Woot Woot to us. I cant wait to go back and try some more rooms. The Civil War room looks awesome and I will return for sure. What an awesome way to spend some time and use your brain. read more

My entire family is in town for my sister's wedding, and we were looking forward to doing this as a last event together. We booked our escape room weeks ago for 12:10pm today. We even got a reminder the day before about arriving 15 minutes early for our 12:10 escape room. No one ever showed up, and the hours on the door and website said 3pm. They have already charged us $214 and they won't answer their phone. What a sham and ridiculously disappointing experience! We had a group of six attempt "The Gambler" and even though we didn't escape (since it was the hardest room) we all really enjoyed our time! We had a reservation we made online and arrived 15 minutes early. We were promptly greeted by friendly staff and instructed to fill out waiver forms as required to participate. I have only done one other escape room, but I can say that I really enjoyed the storyline of our room! Each member of my group all had purpose and it was very engaging throughout the full hour we had. I also appreciate the cleanliness of the room. Being that lots of other people's hands have smothered every surface of the room, everything looked spotless and nothing felt grimey. The only thing I would change is the "debriefing" at the end. Our group wanted to know what we missed, but we were only able to listen to a 10-second walkthrough since there was another reservation. I would have liked to have a little better explanation of why we failed. Other than that, awesome experience and highly recommend. I believe there are a total of 3 different rooms (easy, medium, hard) that you can choose from. read more

Far and away the best escape room company in town. We've been to 3-4 others and they don't come close to the quality, uniqueness, and surprises of Get Out. Challenging rooms so it is better with a crowd. They lost a star because one clue item wasn't working - to such as extent that they had to pause our time and come in and fix it and one other clue was actually two combined because one wasn't working. Despite this, I would highly recommend the Civil War room. We've also done the Y2K room and enjoyed that as well. read more

If you are an escape room enthusiast Get Out is the best in town! I have gone through the Gambler, Civil War, and Y2K at this location. Get Out does a good job with making the difficulty high, yet possible. They use a large variation of puzzles, --which to me means the most when doing this activity. I hate going to an escape with lazy pad locks the entire time. The clues are always clever and the rooms are detailed to the core! Overall, Get Out never disappoints! read more

All of us really enjoyed Room 13. It was tough but we were able to escape. The staff was supre friendly and were great. We arrived about 30 minutes early for our scheduled time and they allowed us to go in early instead of sitting there waiting. They also have an easy way to sign the wavier. read more

WAY too much fun! Had a group of 7 try out the Gambler room before we found out it was the most difficult room of all. Needless to say, we didn't make it out, but had a blast of fun and laughs trying to do so. We went back the next day and tried the Y2K room and we won! Still a challenge, but not as difficult as the Gambler. I highly recommend trying it out, but younger teens may get frustrated as it's harder than it seems to be! But it really causes you to think, work together and troubleshoot creative thinking. Will DEFINITELY be going back. Hats off to Hunter, who was a great host on Saturday! read more

We have done every escape room place in Omaha. Get Out had a Groupon, so it seemed a good time to try them out. My wife and I are in our early forties and we have two kids, aged 11 and 12. We were able to get a premium parking spot right in front, plus it was a Sunday so we didn't have to feed the meter. The outside of the building is very clearly marked, we had no trouble finding it. We were greeted by a very friendly employee in a very clean lobby. He checked us in (we had to sign a waiver on an iPad) and we waited a few minutes before he led us to or escape room. Well, that's about it! I'm writing a review for an escape room and anything else would be giving away spoilers! It was challenging but nothing too crazy, we needed a couple clues. The "set design" was very good. The whole family had a good time. Nothing too scary for kids and we all had our moments of figuring things out. No pics, because you aren't allowed to take any!! Again, our host was so great. We have a reservation for another room in a week, hopefully he is there to greet us (and lead us!) through our game! read more

So hours show open 1100-2400. Booked a two party for 1200 on December 14th. Been here since 1145. Doors are locked. Paid for two hours of parking and have no where to be. Tried calling, no answer just an answering machine. Left a message. Tried calling four times. No answer. So we've paid for two hours of parking. And we paid for our 1200 session. Edit:they called at at 1203 to say someone had quit. A person was going to arrive in 5 minutes to let us in. They did and apologized for the delay. Had a great time. Didn't get out in time. We're a couple escape room enthusiasts who've done 80+ escape rooms. We stopped in and did The Gambler while road tripping through. It was pretty fun, but did have some deficiencies. First, the good: - There was a fairly wide variety of puzzles (sort of, more on this later) - The puzzles did an excellent job incorporating the theme. The bad: - There room vastly over-relied on four digit combination locks. Trying to count now, I believe that by the end there were around 20 such locks in total. This felt really excessive, and it would've been better to have mixed it up a little. Granted, the puzzles to find those combinations were varied, but it cost us a lot of time once we had a combo to try it in one of the countless locks. - One puzzle required dozens of poker chips that you find throughout the game in order to solve. A couple were outright missing and we wasted a whole bunch of time thinking there was someplace we hadn't searched or another puzzle we needed to solve first. We ended up managing to brute force our way around it, but this lost time ended up being the difference in us successfully completing the room or not, so that was pretty disappointing. - They've changed the room to remove/change a couple puzzles, but left the props/clues for these puzzles in the room. In a room with ~20 combo locks, you can't really afford to waste time messing with puzzles that have been obsolesced. Despite these problems I'd say there's definitely hope for having a good time here. By simply shoring up some of these loose ends this would have potential to be a pretty solid room. read more

Amazing experience. Got out of the room in the literal last second. This is an experience unlike anything else; if you like mysteries, puzzles, fun, or anything in those categories you owe it to yourself to try this out, and the best place to do it in Omaha is here. Every room is extremely well designed so you'll need every minute, and with the optional hints it works with every difficultly level. Without breaking the emersion.
