The 10 km path around the lake is perfect for relaxing or working out. Cannot say enough positive things about this location. A pretty and restful spot just outside the city.

Of course, I've seen the sign along the highway and my boyfriend had mentioned it before but none of that made much of an impression as the actual place did. Our first visit here was to break in our new bicycles. We entered on the west side of the lake where there is a pier for boats. There is another pier on the other side of the lake close to the camp ground but where we entered it was near a nice covered picnic area. We rode our bikes along the path twice here and enjoyed every bit of it. Since then I've gone a few times with my bike to ride and I loved every second of it. The staff here does a great job maintaining the path, piers, frisbee golf area and the ensuring the trash cans are all taken care of. I haven't camped on their campground yet but it always looks to be pretty tidy. I know my nephew has stayed there for a cub scout camp weekend and I didn't hear any complaints from their experience. One of the things I like about this area is there is a designated day camp area, they also have a lot of events going on here. I've noticed a couple of triathlons here. I appreciate having this gorgeous lake, park, camp area, close by and well kept. It is such a hidden gem just on the other side of the highway. I look forward to spring and summer next year to break out our bicycles again and maybe even spend a weekend camping here. If you have yet to check this lake out I highly recommend that you do! The path is almost seven miles with a good amount of benches along the way so you can also just sit back, relax, and enjoy being amongst nature!

This area boasts an urban beach, some really nice and fun swings and chairs, and what I would consider to be one of the best playgrounds I've taken my kids to. It feels safe, it's clean, and it's filled with families enjoying these free amenities to the city. My kids loved it and I left really impressed. Next time we are in Omaha with the kids this will be a must stop for us!

Some of the parks features include sand volleyball courts, a restroom facility, water fountains, fire pits, Adirondack chairs, and an urban beach, the Labor Statue, a nice marina, an amazing playground, glider swings, and paved walkways. They also have umbrella tables and chairs for visitors take advantage of. This park is relatively new, being dedicated in 2020 and it spans about 23 acres. The park leads to the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge. The fenced in playground is awesome. It has a few water features, a couple of towering rocket themed jungle gyms with slides and bridges, a couple of spinning net climbers, a trojan horse, a pile of tree trucks to climb on, and a zip line. There is also a sand area for kids to get messy. It is a very impressive playground. It is on artificial grass and gravel and there are benches placed around the area for caregivers to sit while their little ones play. This is a very nice park that overlooks the Missouri River and not only give you a scenic view of the River, but of Iowa, across the river and the Kerrey Bridge (which is extra awesome at night). The investment in this park was money well spent. I really enjoyed this park. I stopped here on my way the the Kerrey Bridge and chose to hang out there a bit. This park hosts special events on occasion. I hear that it can get crazy during some of them and to avoid the park, if possible. There is a huge open cement pad behind the Kiewit Luminarium. It has a few tables, but is otherwise pretty open. I spent about an hour here and could have easily spent a half day or more. Omaha has some awesome parks. I highly recommend checking this park out and spending some time here.

The water at Two Rivers stays strikingly blue no matter which season you visit, so I think it's definitely one of the cleaner parks in the regions, when it comes to water quality. There also was no litter that I saw, so whoever is maintaining the park is doing a great job. Two Rivers has great walking trails around the lake, so it's a wonderful place to go get some exercise in a cool surrounding. It's also never been busy when I visited, so if you like a more tranquil walk, it could be a good option for you. They also offer camping, fishing, swimming, and other outdoor activities (probably more for in the summer season), as well as horse trails if you happen to have a horse! For boating, they only allow non powered boats, so keep that in mind if you're wanting to fish off your boat. While this isn't a huge park compared to a few others in the Omaha/Iowa area, it does offer a lot of activities and cool scenery for being a smaller park! Definitely worth a visit, even if it's a short one.
