What a great place to have a group retreat. Rivercrest Retreat Center is located outside of…read moreFremont and the camp sits along the Platte River. Cabins can bunk 8-10 personnel in each and there are adjacent bathrooms/showers. Great looking lodge for meetings and plenty of activities to choose from. There is also a "River Lodge" that can hold up to 50 people. Our group of 22 really enjoyed Paintball and the Super Swing and there are various games and other activities to engage in as well as athletic courts to compete/play on. Great trails to hike and if you are fortunate, you can see the Bald Eagles along the river trail. Very good facilities. Groups can either bring their own food or you can pay extra and the camp will feed the group in their dining hall which is pretty nice as well. Got to meet the Camp Director; Jon Classen, who was very engaging and helpful. Enjoyed chatting with him about the camp and its' history. If you want to check out the camp for your group; here is the link to their website: http://www.camprivercrest.org/

My group loved the variety of activities that Rivercrest had- climbing on the rock wall, going on the zip line, and swimming and playing in the Platte River. My group loved it and I will definitely recomment Rivercrest to anyone!

Without being a dive bar, this place gives hometown dive bar vibes. It's much bigger than a hole in…read morethe wall, which make it much more comfortable than a typical dive. I've visited on two occasions and the bartenders do that their job and just that. Friendly and accommodating but sometimes they don't know what you need. Darts and slots are available. You can also play a game of pool if so desired and Karaoke if you're into that. If you order a Moscow mule they'll ask for your ID - I guess copper mugs have been stolen? This didn't irk me as much as make me laugh, but I'd just rather you didn't give me a copper mug. I almost forgot my ID because that's just quite a bit out of the norm compared to my average bar experiences. I'd definitely visit again - I think this is the type of place you'll have a good drink and good story by the time you leave.

We are both huge karaoke fans, and Tin Lizzie's happily accommodated that want. They quit serving food at 8. If you want something after the fact; they do offer delivery from another place not too far from the bar itself. Drinks are cheap. Where there are cheap drinks you will find cheap drunks. Everyone here knew each other, and everyone who came here had a lot to talk about the more they drank. Being the out of towner that I was -- I can tell you on 3 occasions where girls came over to me and spilled their heart out. How did I manage to become a therapist is beyond me.... including one of them who felt it was necessary to discuss her endeavors with my relative the night before. WHY would you tell me this?! Awkward.... Aside from that, the drinks here are really good. The karaoke was a ton of fun as well. I enjoyed the vast selections of songs you could choose from even though country music seemed to be the prime theme of the evening. They offer billiards. Those were pretty hot for the night too. Smoking is allowed outside on the patio, and not within the establishment which made me happy. I am a non-smoker. The patio is big enough to hold a few people if the weather is right. It is also fenced in for privacy. Dress code -- biker or cowboy casual. Google it. Tin Lizzie's is pretty solid and I would return for a drink and for entertainment purposes.... sans playing therapist again.
