Had a great time at this place! We decided to go after 10 pm which gave us a discount, and when we got there the person at the front desk was very kind and funny. Anna was our guide to the Gold Rush, she was very patient and nice and extremely helpful during the room. Having done a couple escape rooms before I wasn't expecting as much content as there was. We ended up using all our time there and a little more, but we were super impressed with how in depth the puzzles are and how many locks we had to go through. Top Notch Escape Room chain. My wife and I first attended The Escape Game Chicago and absolutely loved it. They have a great teaching program, the puzzles are well thought-out and the rooms are well-decorated. My only complaint is a general Escape Rook complaint. We played with a few random individuals because we had 6 in our party, which left two spots open. I really think this should be a private room when you have 5 or greater in the Escape Room, oh well. First time visiting an escape room activity. At the recommendation of the very helpful staff we booked the Heist theme. I was a little unsure of this type of event since the cost seemed a little pricey per person. We had a group of 5 and the event held 8 people. You don't have the ability to make sure that your group are the only people doing the room(s) if you don't have the full 8 people to book the room solid. We were joined by 2 people that we did not know prior to the game. The game play and theme were great, we really had a great time and the quality and attention to detail in the room(s) were great. You could tell that some of the props were getting a bit worn but I believe that is very common with any of these venues due to the type of activity that is needed to complete the puzzles. If you haven never tried an escape room I would definitely recommend The Escape Game. I'm afraid to say that we may be hooked and are looking forward to trying another theme at this location. The Heist: This room had some sneaky things we figured out right away and some obvious things we completely missed. Of course, there were those we had to figure out along the way. No matter what - it was fun. Our group all had things to do (at most points) and were all able to contribute to us getting out successfully. This was a great evening out with the group and our second experience at this location (which was also great). Theme:In some ways, this was a great theme - then towards the end I just got confused how things fit in. However, nothing detracted from the experience in the moment, just some things afterwards when I thought back on it. Quality:Very well put together from start to finish. Difficulty:This was a pretty even mix of things, and we had a good group for this room because there is something for everyone. Some surprises for sure that we didn't expect that made things tricky, but very well done. Fun:I had a blast in this rooms - the puzzles were great and the surprises were fantastic. ======== Gold Rush: This was an interesting experience from start to finish. We had a group of eight - 4 couples who didn't know each other going in AND with language differences. Thankfully, this ended up being a good group and we all understood each other enough to get through the puzzles. Despite some of the issues noted below, we had a good time and were able to make it out in time. Theme:Very neat - so many things put together some very good spaces, and the puzzles go great with the theme. Quality:A couple of these puzzles just didn't work for us - we had to use a clue to get an answer to one because it didn't work, and another came apart after we'd solved it and made a mess. The rooms that this company comes up with are like movie sets. They are very immersive and so much thought goes into the experience, not just the problems you have to solve to escape. The staff are also great, very friendly and all appear happy to be working there. This company makes the experience so much fun, there is nothing boring about the rooms, they are awesome. There are rooms in rooms (thats all I can say without giving too much away!) We have been able to solve the 2 we have gone to just in the nick of time (1 minute to spare or 30 seconds to spare in 2 different rooms). We have used 3 different escape room companies and done 5 different rooms and a lot of the other companies have plane rooms with problems to solve. A lot of them just give you a bunch of padlocks with vague clues and ask you to open them in 60 minutes - it's not as fun. They have simple sets with nothing exciting about them and no "wow factor" at all. This company has an awesome "wow factor" in the rooms we have done. We cannot wait to book our next room with this company and we recommend their rooms to everyone. You will not be disapointed! read more

We had a blast! We were just walking through the Grapevine Mall when we saw this attraction and immediately grew interested. I've always wanted to try one, and this was so spur of the moment but they have games starting all throughout the day. A nice young woman greeted us and invited us in to play. We had a few questions which she answered completely. They have different games to choose from, we chose Gold Mine. It is a difficulty 7 out of 10, and there were only 2 of us trying to get out. They did give us a few clues when we got stuck, but I was proud of us for completing and escaping the room at all. We had 3 minutes to spare. Overall, this was a super fun experience and I'm so glad we decided to spend the $35 to do it! read more

We did this room when my brother was visiting from out of town last night. For context he has only done one other. I've done about 10 and my 15 year old probably double that. She is by far the best in our group at these. Our party consisted of 3 adults, an 8yr old and a 15 year old. According to the website the Jailbreak room was the most difficult. While the puzzles were cohesive and well thought out, I will say we would not have escaped with the .4 seconds left had they not given extra clues, so I'm glad we choose a place that doesn't take time off for extra help. When you have younger kids who really like to be a part of the puzzle solving it does take extra time/clues to work those out so they don't feel left out. Visually the rooms were very realistic and you were able to be very immersed in the game. You could tell they put a lot of time and care into making you feel like you were in a real prison. I did have a little trouble seeing a few of the clues in some of the rooms with only one flashlight but had I not forgotten my glasses it may have been easier. We will definitely go back and do one of the other games but I'm really glad we started with this one. It did not disappoint. For all the rooms in Dallas I've done, I probably enjoyed the effects of this one the most. The only thing I will say is if you don't have at least 4 people, this is probably not the right room for you. In the first of the 3 rooms, your party is in separate cells and both sides need to work together to get our of your cell into the rooms where you will be together. With just one person in each side it would be very difficult to look at the clues and share them with your partner in time to make it through the rest of the rooms. Highly recommend! read more

Having been to The Escape Game Austin, I was really excited to try this one out that was much closer to home. Three out of the four games from Austin are at this location (Classified being the odd one out), but they are currently building a new room called Playground that is exclusive to this location. Our group arrived a few minutes early, and they said they were running behind, so we had to wait a little bit past our reservation time, but no big deal. We did the Prison Break room, and I have to say this is by far the best set in an escape room I've ever done. Everything was very well done and very creative. Everything was nice and clean (except where the props were meant to look dirty), and I didn't feel like most escape rooms where I immediately have to wash my hands after touching something. The puzzles and clues for this room were all very well done, and nothing seemed impossible without hints. For an experienced group of four, we were able to escape with ~5 minutes remaining and using all three free hints. I only have two negative things to say about this location. While the staff at the front before the game was very friendly, the one running our game was very quick to get us out of there when it was over. I understand if they were running behind, but this is the first time an escape room hasn't asked to get a picture after the game. The second thing is the noise from the mall. The roof of the location is completely open, so you can hear the mall music and crowds talking from outside the room. It definitely lessened the experience of being in a prison. If the post-game experience and mall noise were taken care of, I would say this is the definition of a perfect escape room. Nevertheless, I will absolutely be back again to play another one. read more

When you get in you don't know how to start. But when you get the ball rolling you have so much fun. The people are nice, this being my first time in a escape room, they give me unlimited hints and it's just really fun. It's an hour but if you have a big group you can finish the room faster than that. They have different music for each room and you get into the mood. My opinion I would be to go again. They have discounts and it's not very high priced. They have merchandise to show you went there, they also give you a special sticker if it your birthday. read more

We've done just about every room here and all of them have been awesome. We out smarted the system on one of the games and the guide was completely baffled by us but it was hilarious and we had a great time. Guides were helpful and not over bearing.
