Most people think it can't be that good at a rec center but the teachers here are awesome. I have taken zumba here for a year so I know it is a great class but I recently discovered the yoga class. The yoga teacher is seasoned and very helpful to new students. I have not yet ventured into the tai chi class can't comment on that one. You really cannot beat the price for what you get plus you can make some great friends who will keep you motivated. The class schedule is on their website.

It was one day after the Japanese Garden exhibit so there weren't a lot of people around, but the gardens were well maintained. The shuttle buses are helpful in getting to the far away parts of the garden. Our favorite part was the visit to the butterfly exhibit. They were releasing new butterflies and the staff was great with sharing information about the various species. I've been to other butterfly exhibit, and this was the most active population of various butterflies... Al displayed beautiful creativity of our amazing God! Would be better to have a bus stop at or near the gardens. Would have liked to see more flowers there... The rose beds were likely better a couple weeks before our arrival.

They were making kids smile back then and they continue to make kids smile now. The Safari Animals have funny faces and are really colorful. It's located in the central part of Ridgemar Mall. There's a Hispanic girl that works there and she is really nice! She has a very nice personality. You pick out an animal and buy your time on these animals. Lol. That sounds so funny. Which means you are charged by the minute. When your time is up, simply return it, if not, the animal will freeze where ever your at. If you wanna ride longer just add more minutes. It's a must do activity for kids. Just so you know, adults can ride too. Ive seen Teenagers riding on here having the time of their life! I recommend you unleash the animal inside you and go rent one. You won't be in a Safari for sure but, instead you'll be in a ghosted mall, thinking of all the stores that used to be there.

I love Oakhurst Park…read more.. It's probably my favorite park in all of the Fort Worth area (or at least in the top 5). What it lacks in parking (you have to park on the side of the street), it makes up for in charm and serenity. This park is settled in a nice quiet part of the Oakhurst area, surrounded by very well landscaped homes, and is considered a gem to the community surrounding it (local events are sometimes held here, see URL attached). If you have small children, I encourage you to spend a nice afternoon there and have a picnic (charcoal grills and picnic tables are also available). Or if you picked up a sandwich from White Eagle Deli, I couldn't think of a more perfect spot to enjoy your lunch outside. I was super impressed with this park! There's a gate to the entrance, which is open as of right now…read more8-8pm(sunset). After the gate is closed if you need to be let out, you have to call the police. But there's so much to do here! Not just the swimming area! There's a hiking trail, playground and walking trails. Beautiful views and plenty of space to social distance yourself. The trails are available for no fee as far as I could tell, but the swimming area near WhoaZone is $5. They do not take cash, only debit/credit card. The swimming area has a playground and picnic areas. I think there's a spot to cast your kayaks off over there too, but I stayed near the beach and didn't explore anything else. I saw vehicles with kayaks going over on the other side. If you have water shoes, I'd say bring them and a beach umbrella as there's no shade. The sand isn't too uncomfortable to lie in, there's just cigarette butts here and there. But I definitely recommend visiting for the day or even camping if you're into it!
