    Creamy chicken pesto
    Sophia K.

Okay long overdue review. We went here for Valentine's dinner. Originally we had their signature steak in kind. But we saw the pasta menu, and quickly changed our minds. It did not disappoint! I got the creamy chicken pesto and he got the short rib gnocchi. Both were absolutely delicious. It's quite a popular local spot. Parking lot is small but there's plenty of street parking in the neighborhood. We'll definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu!

Love you all - brought guest in for the Rib Eye- but the reservation I put in with open table - wasn't there. Had it on my phone- oh well. Shendoah at the Arbor got us in. Next time I hope.

First time visiting to celebrate a birthday, and the restaurant was much bigger than I expected. Parking is pretty limited -- your options are either the small lot, a darker area behind the building, or nearby residential streets. The portions are HUGE! We ordered appetizers, and about 10 minutes later our entrees came out too, which felt a bit rushed. There was so much food that we couldn't even finish half of it. I ordered the salmon pesto and absolutely loved it -- tons of flavor and really delicious. For dessert, we had the butter cake, and it was amazing. Overall, I'd recommend giving this place a try. I'd definitely come back to sample more dishes.

I passed this place for years. Finally tried this place out with reservations. This place gets really packed. Parking can be difficult to find, pending on the hours you arrive. Parking is tight, meaning if you have a large truck it can pose a problem to fit in the tight spaces that are provided. Checked in with the front host. Wait time was 15 minutes. We were greeted and seated at our tables. The ambiance was very nice. Since this is a South Africa establishment, you had some type of sense you were in the Saraha. Ordered drinks of Beer and cocktails. Delivered to us in 5 minutes. Prompt service! Ordered Beef Straganov and Beef Pot Pie. Entrees did not dissapoint! All was fresh and delicous. The portion size were very large! You get what you pay for at this restaurant! Big Kudos to Aiden! He was a fantastic server. Great customer service. He always checked up on us. I highly recommend this place. I will definitely be back. My to go spot for now on. Great food and Service! Large establishment.

Food was great had the bacon wrapped date appetizer! And the rib eye entree! Zero complaints! Service was spot on! Ambiance was what you would expect of a sports bar restaurant! Lots of seating! I would definitely come back!

The Eldo has a super fun and casual vibe. Their menu really does have something for every palate, making it a great place to gather with friends, family, and more. It gets pretty loud because of the crowds, but it's still a nice and fun ambiance. My friend and I tried the Shrimp au Gratin, and it was amazing!! I would definitely get this appetizer again. For the main, we shared the ribeye after all the rave reviews. It was a very good steak, and the onion rings were amazing! The veggies were nothing to write home about, but we figured we better get some veggies in. We also tried the Malva Butter Cake, and it was HUGE. Delicious, and would've loved even more of the drizzle. They do take reservations. Also, they have big screen TVs for the various games. Can't wait to come back!

We go back for the pretzel appetizer, it's warm and fluffy great cheese brown mustard dip sauce. But the best deal is the ribeye steak, upgrade with wedge salad and baked potato. We love sitting at the bar with great service and TV to watch It would be great if it was some live music playing in the background

We walked in without reservation and they make us sit right away on a Saturday night. Place was happening, ambiance was chill and everyone was in their own element. They got cool outside patio too. Food was simply delicious. We tried Mediterranean Salmon, lamb shank, and Malta butter cake for dessert and everything was great. All dishes tasted delicious and was made it to its perfection. Really love this place and we will be coming back soon.

Haven't been here in person for a couple years so me and my husband decided to come visit on Valentine's Day! And it didn't disappoint. I've always wanted to try the pretzel with beer cheese and it tasted so fresh. We also had fried zucchini also delicious. My husband always enjoys the steak here and I like to order the salmon plate. Both dishes came out great and as a special treat we had the butter cake a must try if you visit. Service was good and heaters were outside so you didn't feel the cold outside air until you left. Parking is a hit or miss. It's not a big parking lot but there is street parking in the neighborhood right next to it with a wall cut out to walk through.

The Eldo was pretty cool, I like the overall look, it has a very modern look and the food was pretty tasty as well. There were about 9 of us for a Birthday dinner; the servers were on top of the service and making sure our orders were in. The only thing that I did not like is that I could not do a substitution for the peas that came on the side of the shepherd's pie. I would give the shepherd's pie a (8/10) . It was very tasty. For my drink I ordered a French 57, which tasted somewhat like skittles, and I loved it. The Eldo would be good for a date night, groups a family dinner night, don't forget to go next door and get ice cream and cookies after.

Cheeseburger, French Fries and Chocolate Shake along with "Wooder"

Had my first visit with my mother the evening of Thursday the 5th of March 2026 for evening rations. This establishment has a South African theme and I saw both the USA and South African flags flown outside. This establishment is only open for evening rations and was very busy when I arrived and there was a wait for a table. We were called and seated. The waitress pointed us to a QR Code and I told her neither of us do QR codes so she brought us a tablet that had the menu. This establishment does NOT have paper menus. Apparently this establishment wants people to go digital which I GREATLY resent as I am an analogue guy and I do not want to go digital!!!!! This is the one and only reason why I am giving such a low grade. Men's washroom was clean and had paper towels available... good. I ordered the cheeseburger and shake combo deal. The burger was quite good as were the French Fries and the chocolate shake was excellent. My mother ordered the lamb and was very satisfied though she took most of it home. Normally I would automatically give the lowest score possible if a sit down restaurant lacks a written paper or laminated menu or if an establishment forces me to use a kiosk to place an order. However I requested a sample of Biltong and the waitress honoured that request. For this reason I am adding an additional point for a total of two points instead of the one point that I would have otherwise awarded. If a letter grade was assigned as is done in school, this establishment would get a D. NOTE: If this establishment had a paper or laminated menu available, I would have awarded four out of five possible points which would have equated to a letter grade of B. The reason I would not have given a perfect score is because I noticed that some of the guys who work at this establishment wore their shirts untucked which I consider to be highly unprofessional.

The Eldo is a bar/pub with South African flavors and it's located off Studebaker and Spring in Long Beach, across the street from El Dorado Park. I came for happy hour on a weekday and they offered $2 off appetizers. I got sliders, veggie samosas, and a side of fries. I feel that the sliders tasted great. The buns were light and nicely buttered, they came with a "pink sauce", and the beef and caramelized onions nicely rounded out the burger. The samosas were my favorite item of the meal. It packed flavors that you don't normally get in an Indian-style samosa. Maybe because they serve the samosas with sweet chili sauce rather than chutneys; however, I would order it again. As for the fries, I felt that they were crispy; however, I felt as if it had an aftertaste that I didn't enjoy. If I get fried dishes, then I'd probably go with onion rings; however, I think that I'd like to try more of their South African offerings as they're unique!

The food was on point and our waitress was excellent. I don't order chicken often but really wanted to try something I have never had. So I ordered the Peri Peri chicken and informed it would be spicy so I had the sauce placed on the side. Ribeye was juicy and is a must try for sure. Inside is pretty dim with plenty of t.v. for all to view. Would definitely be back again!Thank you Peyton!!!

I ordered a turkey sandwich with cheese on sourdough bread with a side of fries, and my friend ordered the buffalo wings. When the sandwich came out, we both looked at it like, "Are they seriously serving this?" The sandwich was cold -- which was not mentioned on the menu -- and looked like something you'd pack in an elementary school lunchbox. At a bar, you'd at least expect the bread to be toasted, especially since it tasted old. The fries were overcooked, greasy, and room temperature. It seemed like they had been sitting out for a while before being served. I still ate about half because I was starving and didn't want to be "that person." The buffalo wings weren't much better. My friend said the sauce tasted good, but the wings themselves were hard and overcooked. Overall, I'd recommend eating before you go. The drinks, atmosphere, and service are solid -- just don't go expecting good food.

We just wanted to pop in for a drink and a light snack to kill time while awaiting for an appointment. The restaurant/bar location is quite nice and easy to find. It's in a massive strip mall off of Bellflower Blvd with loads of parking. The place itself isn't that big but a decent amount of seating. There's a decent size patio that looks out to the walkway and parking lot in the front. Inside, you have the bar area to the left and the restaurant on the opposite side. Main dining area is right across from bar as well as another dining area. We sat at the bar which Jen was working that afternoon and took very good care of us. Very friendly and welcoming which is alway an amazing start to anything. She was the only one behind the bar so juggling everything for everyone and still with a smile and positive attitude. We didn't want anything major so started off with a beer and a snack to share. Later found out that they also offer happy hours with food specials as well. Anyways, the menu is limited to a certain extended. We went with the loaded tots. Let me just say, it was loaded and massive. It was perfect for sharing and then some. A major pile of tots with melted cheese, green onions, loads of chunks of bacon and drizzled with ranch dressing. And another side of dressing on the side. Thats like was meal in itself. Quite tasty to say and the chef behind the grill was very sweet as well. Bar area has seats that look out to the bar as well as the kitchen grill. A few seats offers that. It was a sweet little chat with the chef whom mentioned happy hour. The last time I was here we did order a good amount of snacks for sharing which was great. From this experience as well as the last, it was great. The staff were all amazing and friendly. Food was great. Somewhat of a bar snack from what we ordered but a few main entrees that were coming out did look quite tasty. Plus portions were pretty massive. And Jen, a sweetheart and doll. The bar was bustling for the game which I was happy to see but upon entry, there was a gal in crutches ahead of me and I heard the door kid say they were at capacity. I checked in with him with my service dog and immediately said, we are at capacity and don't allow dogs. I let him know I have a seat waiting for me at a table, said my dog is a service dog, and simply said, "I'm sorry we're at capacity and dont allow dogs." I understand the capacity thing. So I went outside and called my friend who was inside to tell him I couldn't come in because the bar was at capacity. My guy friend came out and gave me a hug. My friend then talked to the door guy and said that door guy said, "He said he'll let you in but not your dog." I confirmed with him, "So you lied about being at capacity and are denying my service dog? Because you just told my friend you'd let me in." He tried to explained that the bar is busy and that that is how the owner runs it. I asked to speak to a manager. A manager comes out, or claims to be, saying she owned the bar, and never introduced her name. She was wearing 49ers jersey, blonde hair. I explained the situation to her and said, "you can't turn away service dogs, that's a violation. Do you understand that?" She then proceeded to explain to me that because the bar is busy and people are spilling drinks SHE does not feel comfortable having a dog in her bar. I again said, he is here for me, he is a certified service dog, and sits under the table, as my dog is just standing there. I asked, "Wouldn't that be MY call if I was comfortable if my service dog and I were in here or not?" She responded, "No, it is my bar so it's my call." She proceeded to say, "Look you can come here on a Monday with him and youll be fine. I love dogs more than I like humans, my sister has a service dog, etc. Etc." None of her banter ok's the fact that she outrightly denied entry of a patron with service dog and initially claiming to ve of capacity but lied about that as well. Horrible door experience and unfortunately I will have to report this to the DOJ as an ADA violation. This review is to document the occurrence and advise those planning to bring service dogs to be aware they will make excuses to not let you and your working animal in. For the owner, hi, just FYI businesses must allow service animals unless they pose a direct threat (in which mine did not). You violated both federal ADA and CA laws.

This was actually my fourth time coming here, and it's always a good time. They usually have live music on Fridays, and the place tends to draw a nice crowd. It's a solid little bar if you're looking to hang out, grab food, and enjoy the atmosphere. Last Sunday I came with a large group of friends, about 30 people or more, and I have to give a huge shout out to our server Cynthia. She was absolutely wonderful. There were only two servers working, and she handled our group with patience, kindness, and great recommendations. Hands down one of the best servers I've had. She definitely deserves a raise. They also have both indoor and outdoor seating, TVs for anyone who wants to catch sports, and happy hour every day from 3-6 PM, which is a nice bonus. We even got to meet the owner, Jimmy, who was very kind and welcoming. Overall, great food, great service, and a great neighborhood spot. I'll definitely keep coming back.
