My kids, my wife, even my 80 year old parents spent 30 minutes and $300+ dollars in here. It's a fantastic store. From the start, she was rude, combative, sarcastic, and unnecessarily aggressive throughout the entire process. Instead of simply helping resolve the issue professionally, I was met with attitude, condescending remarks, and an overall hostile demeanor that made the experience far more difficult than it needed to be. As a customer, I expect basic courtesy and professionalism -- especially from a company that prides itself on customer service and brand values. The exchange itself was straightforward, yet Maddie handled it in a way that felt confrontational and unwelcoming from beginning to end. It honestly left a terrible impression of the store and the company overall. After being a customer for nearly 30 years and a brand ambassador for this company, I truly never expected to be treated this way. Made it very uncomfortable, and being a POC I hate that it had to feel like this was racially-charged. NOT ONCE did she ask how everything was doing or if me or my partner needed help. This is a much smaller REI than usual, so they don't have as much of a selection. It's REI, so a lot of their inventory is higher priced. We were in our motorhome with a blown front tire. I had my four kids with me, and it was an incredibly dangerous and stressful situation with semi-trucks blowing past within inches of our rig. I called my insurance company first, and they told me there was no one who could change a tire on a motorhome on the side of the 101. I couldn't believe it--they completely left us stranded. Out of desperation, I called CR Mobile Auto Repair, and even though they were several miles away, I explained how urgent and dangerous our situation was. Chris didn't hesitate, he came right away.
