The tech arrived and diagnosed the issue as a bad starter which would need replacing, again all good up til this point. The tech put some information in his ipad and came back with a quote that I was sure was a mistake, about 650 dollars to install a rebuilt starter, one that I can buy new online for 150 bucks. We needed the forklift so I said the price would be fine as long as it was not any higher and the tech said he would be back the following day. He did come back, and installed the starter and then proceeded to hand me a bill for almost 1000 dollars, 1000 dollars to install a starter. Apparently this company charges for travel time, gas, food, nap time, and any other fees they feel like adding to your bill. I called the company and was able to get the price down, still incredibly high, but something slightly more reasonable. We paid and I informed the company that I would no longer be using their services and we left it at that, or so I thought. This forklift is a spare and we use it only during emergencies, so about once every few weeks, or at least we try to use it but can't because it will not start due to a bad starter...... that's right, a 600 dollar starter that was used a maximum of 10 times won't work. This company is refusing to help as "it's out of warranty". I have never dealt with a more crooked business, and I encourage anyone to avoid this place unless you like throwing your money away.
