This is newly opened restaurant in my neighborhood so we just gave a try yesterday. The takeout process was simple and quick. I had to wait a little bit for our food to finish cooking, but the wait wasn't long at all. The restaurant is very clean and tidy so I feel safe to eat the food they made. Service was excellent and the food was SO fresh. Literally steaming out of the bag. The smell was AMAZING. And the taste was even better than the smell. We ordered the Shanghai steamed pork dumplings, pan fried pork potstickers, steamed vegetable dumplings, and beef chow mein. Everything was so delicious and fresh, that we ate more than we typically would. The dumplings were some of the best I've ever had. Definitely we will come back again! read more

Beijing noodles! That's is why I go and it's pretty great that they open until midnight and also do deliveries. If you're looking for a late night eat with a variety of options, this place has it. You really can't be disappointed unless you're picky. read more

Got the soup dumplings (mini juicy bun with pork), Shanghai pan fried dumplings, spicy tuna maki, seaweed salad, and avocado and kani salad. Everything was delicious, minus the spicy tuna which was just ok. read more

Ordered online quick and easy, picked up service was good. Excited about food! Disappointed!! Fried rice was mushy. Lo Mein was bland. Mongolian Beef was chewy, oily and a bit sour. Pupu platter was not yummy . Chicken fingers tasted like it was fried in seafood oil, crab ragoon tasted crabby (if that makes sense), chicken wings were okay, chicken teriyaki was decent, beef teriyaki was okay but the boneless spareribs were all fat. I gave it 2 stars because they were nice. Maybe an off night? Too many things were off. I hate wasting food and had to throw it out. read more

look i DONT like sushi never have and my friend made me try a piece of her double spicy salmon sushi a week ago and now i crave it every day. I just got it for the second time today and the meal was gone in under 4 minutes p.s. their spring rolls are the best ones i've ever had. i WILL be returning :) read more

The Dumpling Garden - Dim Sum Near Me - Saugus, Massachusetts

We ordered from this restaurant for Father's Day a few weekends ago. I had bookmarked this place since we are huge fans of xiao long bao or soup dumplings. I was not sure if they would deliver to our town, but they did! And amazingly, the soup dumplings were still hot and fresh when we received them. The food was delicious! We got a variety of other Chinese dishes, but the sushi and the soup dumplings were definitely our favorites. Highly recommend the "sushi dumplings" for instance! They were still good the next day. We will definitely be ordering from this joint again soon! read more

A bit pricey, but worth it! I ordered the pork dumplings, Boston maki, seaweed salad and crab Rangoon. All but the crab Rangoon were great! The crab Rangoon had no crab, might as well call it a cream cheese dumpling. We ordered delivery and the food was delivered fresh and hot, so that's a huge plus! read more

My family was so excited to try Dumpling Garden and they did not disappoint! We ordered juicy buns with pork (amazing!), Shanghai style pan-fried dumplings (super yums), and pan fried pork buns, which were so good my daughter ate the entire box by herself. I am absolutely thrilled to have them nearby, and have already recommended them to multiple people. I'm going to be ordering a different variety of foods next time, and I can't wait! read more

This restaurant is the best asian food in Saugus. I have ordered their hot plates as well as their sushi. Both choices are delicious. And they are very prompt to deliver. If you are looking for take out this is the place to go. read more

We still love this place; the Szechuan specials are our favorite and really tasty. We love the spicy beef and the mala pots from that section. The miso soup, mini juicy pork buns, and chili chicken are delicious choices as well. We've also tried the veggie dumplings, the Shanghai style dumplings, and the pan fried pork buns. Each time we have ordered, we find the dumplings are consistently great. So grateful to have such a yummy option nearby. Can't wait to try more! read more

Take out order for lunch/dinner today included Kung Pao chicken, Szechuan cold noodles, and sauteed string beans. The chicken and string beans were tagged with the hot pepper symbol, and Szechuan style should have a distinctive spicy heat. Not today, not here. All three dishes mild and bland, compared to my expectations. I phone back and asked why. I was told that this level of spice is their default, and next time I'll need to specify "very spicy" otherwise. read more

Look, it's called DUMPLING garden for a reason. The sushi is awful. The Chinese food is mediocre. The dumplings are spectacular. Get yourself some juicy buns, and maybe some pork and leeks, and maybe some other dumplings. Every dumpling I've had here has been excellent; everything else I've had has been forgettable. And if you're ordering on the weekend give them a LONG lead time, they're slow (don't trust the online ordering that says your order will be ready in 20-30 minutes; it always says that, even if they're backed up an hour. We order the dumplings and beef noodle soup for dinner and it's a bit disappointing. The skin of the dumplings was very very thick. The noodle is also thick but easy to break, which should be thin while chewy instead. The beef was way too fatty. Will not order them again. read more

$43.00 in the trash! Our regular place was closed so we thought we would get this place a try - BAD DECISION! Fried Rice tasted burnt. One, ONE beef stick in the combo, undercooked, chicken fingers and egg rolls were heavy with oil we could not eat them. The only thing we could eat - crab Rangoon and the dumplings...everything else we tossed. In this day and age where everything is so expensive, we thought a nice night of Chinese food would be a treat - it was a treat alright, for Dumpling Garden - they got us for $43.00. read more

I stopped in for the first time to grab lunch today and got sweet potato maki and told the cashier to give me their best dumplings. First of all I love sweet potato sushi rolls I get them whenever I see it on the menu. These were by far the best I've ever had. The cashier ordered the shanghai pan fried dumplings and they were amazing. I've never tasted anything like it. They are now my favorite food. read more

The juicy dumplings were so good! I used to love getting these at a restaurant in Chinatown and I'm so excited that I now have a local option where they are every bit as good (and they deliver too!). We also enjoyed the pineapple fried rice. The other entrees were good but too spicy, especially the salt and pepper shrimp. Just too many hot peppers even asking for mild spicy. So, so good. So much better than the other Chinese restaurants I've tried in the area. Admittedly, Chinese food isn't my favorite cuisine, but my husband loves it so I'm glad to have found a restaurant we both love. What's not to love about dumplings?! We've ordered takeout several times and have since perfected our order - 3 types of dumplings + 1 noodle dish. Plenty of food to be comfortably stuffed and still have leftovers. We always get mini juicy buns (soup dumplings) and the pork buns and the third is a wildcard. Most recently it was the beef & cabbage dumplings- they're purple! And so tasty. For noodles, we've tried a few and they were all good but our FAVE is the Beijing style noodles. My one [minor] complaint is that the menu doesn't include descriptions so we kind of went in blind, but were never disappointed! The Beijing noodles are perfectly chewy and saucy with ground pork, edamame, tofu and some other type of bean. Yum! I highly recommend you try Dumpling Garden. It certainly is part of our regular rotation. read more

Excellent food that is consistently good from visit to visit. That's my usual gripe with this type of Americanized Chinese food. Have not had that problem here though, always good no surprises. I wish they used white meat in their chicken dishes though as that's really my only complaint. They will substitute white meat upon request but I just avoid chicken dishes period. General Gau shrimp dish is excellent and their crab rangoons are best I've tried anywhere. They also have delicious garlic fried rice and salt & pepper chicken wings are terrific. Definitely our go to Chinese food restaurant. read more
