I choice to do drunkenlab nyc for my birthday and it was amazing! 10/10 experience and with the price paid. I did the tipsy admission which came with one cocktail and one shot. I added a bottle and it was perfect, so happy it was wine because it was just enough and not too much! My table had fun. Would suggest 4-6 people in your group, or 2. Great for a date or an outing with friends. The service was good, the workers were fun and it's a very engaging experience.

Science, but sprinkle some drinks and music in it for a wonderful time! I visited The Drunken Laboratory during my birthday weekend on February 8th. Initially, I love a good experience and I could not seem to find anything group related, other than paint and sip. Interestingly, The Druken Laboratory came across my Instagram timeline and I was sold. We booked the tickets about 3 weeks in advance for a Saturday event at 6pm. Upon arriving, we snagged parking easily and headed inside. From the door, we were welcomed kindly. We arrived a little early and they were not ready just yet but security allowed us to wait inside. The host (I believe his name was Prince) chatted with us for a bit and give me some insight on the company including their latest expansion in Houston. He then proceeded to give us a rundown of what to expect and then shortly after, we were allowed in. The space was decorated in a Valentine's Day theme. Lots of hearts as well as pink and red decor. The fun takes place in a mid-sized room fitted with tables for your experiments and a stage along with a small bar and DJ. We were welcomed into the room and directed to go to the bar first. Our ticket included 1 drink. The menu featured curated cocktails that aligned with the theme. One of the staff came over to greet us and gave us some shots poured from a device on his back. Talk about getting the party started! It was a total of 6 of us and we were seated right in front by the DJ booth. As we settled in, we were advised to create a freaky/sex-themed professor name and put on protective gear including a disposable coat and eyewear. The DJ also got us warmed up with some great R&B/Hip-Hop tunes. On each table are materials like beakers, to conduct at least 3 science experiments throughout the event. Although there are multiple staff around, there is one host for the experience. It is treated sort of like a class. You'll go thru a series of very simple experiments, nothing that has to do with alcohol though. In between the experiments, they offer fun activities like trivia, sing-alongs, and even a mini birthday celebration. I got to celebrate with others on stage with a shot and a celebratory dance. Speaking of shots, prepare yourself because shots will be freely flowing. I mean, we had regular shots on entering, then at least 2 rounds of syringe shots, and then my birthday shot. Wow! Overall, it was a lot of fun. In terms of service, all of the staff were engaging and fun. They did their very best to ensure we had a great time. The DJ was especially great and the crowd had a nice vibe. The only thing I think they should adjust are the actual experiments. Though fun, I don't really get the connection between drinks and science experiments. None of the experiments were edible nor did they connect to the drinking aspect of the experience. Maybe that is intentional but I guess I had a different idea when I see or hear the business name. To make it a more of a cohesive experience, it would be nice to have experiments that focus on basic mixology. Something that allows you to create drinks while gaining an understanding as to how some combinations become a drink or perhaps differentiations. For example, the science behind a rum versus a whiskey and then creation of a simple drink using either, or maybe an experiment testing how certain ingredients can change the color or enhance the flavor of a drink. Anything that ties in the concept of the name. I walked away with a review of very simple high school level experiments which I think could've been alot more high level and tied into the theme. Nonetheless, it was a great experience and one that left us wanting more. An hour and a half was just not enought and I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday. I would highly recommend to others and I would return in the future!

Came here for my friend's birthday . It was Halloween themed . I had so much fun . We started off with a drink, I had a virgin drink. We then created experiments , played games and they were literally giving shots all night . It was a great time . Didn't take much pictures as we were dealing with chemicals for our experiments . Def would go back

This was such a cool and fun experience to do as a group ! There's different packages on the website and since we went in February - the lab was valentine themed. You need your ID for age verification at check-in. Parking is street parking. Our package came with 1 complimentary cocktail each and a shot. Once you sit down you're told to make a cool scientist / doctor name based on the theme. You're also given gloves, goggles , thin lab coat and face mask. The experience is so unique and interesting ! The staff had great energy.

Top to bottom, one of the most unique and unexpectedly fun nights I've had in Brooklyn. Bought tickets as a fun date night and went around the holiday season and let me tell you, they go all out here. Holiday themed drinks, boozy ornaments you can take home, and great decor. It was literally a party when we walked in. DJ was fire, the MC was very funny, and there was so much great crowd work. The experiments themselves weren't much harder than high school lab, but they made every portion super fun, they'd come around and sing with us, made sure we had drinks and were doing things safely - it was a raucous and super fun evening. What's really unique here is how incredible the staff was. From getting the party started, to moving along in the experiments, to keeping us all engaged, but super tuned in to our clean up needs and making sure were all having a great time. I've told so many people that if you're looking for a truly unique and boozy night, loose all pretenses and party at The Drunken Laboratory.

This is a fun activity for group outings and birthday celebrations. Your reservation allows an hour of the experience. After checking in and showing ID, you're given your drink (if you bought the ticket that includes a drink) and shown to your seat. I like that you have the lab coat, safety goggles, gloves, and masks to make you feel like you're actually in a lab. All the staff members were nice and super engaging. The whole experience is interactive. There never a dull moment. I did deduct a Star because parking is rough because it's only street parking on a busy street. Also, the complimentary cocktail and occasional free syringe shots weren't really alcohol forward, and for the price you're paying, you'd want it to pack more of a punch. But overall, it's a cute experience, and it's something I think most people will enjoy.

My group had a blast! I will say one of the event games should have came with a sensitivity warning. Drinks were pretty good. Loved the energy.

My boyfriend surprised me with this and boy did I have the time of my life... service was amazing, drinks were great. The engagement amongst people was top tier. Definitely something fun to do as a date night out with a group... they do trivia games... prizes... karaoke with prizes but everyone's a winner in the lab. Ambiance is very cool you get a lab coat, goggles, gloves and do actual experiments. I highly recommend this place for any occasion or celebration. Thank you guys

I hosted a joint birthday party here yesterday for 15 people. I booked the "chefs call" option…read morewhich is a wine and food pairing. After having a tough time scheduling via email, I was put in touch with the manager, Jordan, who was helpful! We had 3 people in our group who wanted non-alcoholic wine pairings (two sober people and one pregnant person) and we were told they would accommodate us. I also informed Jordan of the allergies in our group. One person was dairy/gluten free, and two others had shellfish allergies. She assured me this would be no issue. We arrived on time yesterday, and everything went downhill from there. First, our waiter seemed to hate us from the very start. He introduced himself, asked who the birthday people were (and then didn't say happy birthday), and then said all of us would be having non-alcoholic drinks. When we said that only 3 people wouldn't be drinking, and the rest of us were going to (hopefully) be consuming regular wine, he rolled his eyes and told us "that's the note he received." Then, a woman came from behind the bar and said she would help us for now but "she's really supposed to be behind the bar." Every single time the waiter came to our table, he asked us who was drinking alcoholic drinks and who was drinking non-alcoholic drinks. He couldn't remember the 3 N.A. people after 6 or so courses and pairings. We were one of two tables in the entire restaurant. Singling out sober people consistently for 3.5 hours is....a choice. The first wine pour occurred and several people at the table were skipped. When we asked for those people to get their pours, the waiter inspected their glasses to ensure that they hadn't already been poured and wanted more wine. You mess up and were accused of trying to sneakily get more? Offensive and awkward. Our first course came out 20 minutes after our wine. It was a really nice charcuterie board with an assortment of cheese, jam, honey, and meat. It was beautiful (and the best part of the entire experience), however, because it was one large board and not a few smaller boards, we actually had to stand up and bring the board from one side of the table to the other in order to share. Bizarre. What is even more bizarre is that it came with no crackers. 25 minutes after the cheese and meat was served, we received crostini which was good, but 25 minutes too late. Our next course was more bread with cheese. Then, marinated mushrooms in an endive cup. Then, a salad. Not clear why the salad came 4th and my guests started to grow concerned (as did I) that we would never get a hot food course. While the courses and wine were served, NEVER ONCE did anyone tell us what wine we were drinking or why they paired the wine with the course. Additionally, when we asked what course was coming next or how many were left, no one knew the answer. At this point, we had been there 3 hours and wanted to leave. My guests were literally planning where to go out to eat after this so they could feel full. We asked what was coming next and if we could potentially speed up the service, they told us again that they didn't know. Finally, hard roast beef sandwiches came out along with chicken bites that allowed each guest to have a single bite. One waiter told us they were buffalo bites, another told us they were soy glazed. I think they were soy glazed? I guess I'll never know. They were dry with no dipping sauce. IMPORTANTLY, when serving the chicken bites to our gluten free guest, the waiter told her they were gluten free because "the fryer they use is so hot it burned the gluten off." When she politely said that's not how it works, he rolled his eyes and walked away. It's a MIRACLE no one in our group was served something they were allergic too. I guess it's a good thing much of the food never came. Desperate to leave, we asked them to give us back our dessert we brought (cupcakes) and to get us the check. At this point, I was fighting tears. I was embarrassed that my entire party seemingly had a bad time and that we were being treated so poorly. The hostess seemed to recognize how upset I was (despite me trying to hold it in) and offered us an ADDITIONAL COURSE. I told her thank you, but we cannot spend another hour and a half waiting for it (we left before the last course, I have no idea what it would have been or how much longer we would have to stay for two more courses). They ended up giving us $100 off which was a nice gesture but truly insufficient to remedy what was a really embarrassing experience. Gratuity of 20% was mandated despite the unacceptable service and I didn't fight it. I just wanted to get out of there. I toured this place as a potential wedding venue for my upcoming wedding and was very close to booking it. I'm grateful to have had this experience to easily rule it out. TLDR - This place is not equipped to handle a large party or any party at all. The staff needs immense training or someone could be seriously injured.
