This was the WORST office visit I have ever had. I don't even want to rate 1 star. First and…read moreforemost starting with the unprofessional staff from talking to them over the phone to being there in person but I still gave them a chance ( I should have known better). I came in 10 min prior to my appointment, I stood at the front desk for a couple minutes without anyone acknowledging me, the front desk girl was on her cell phone and there were a couple ladies in the back just chatting. Finally the girl looks up and notices me and has me fill out paperwork. I was taken back to a room 30 min after my appointment was scheduled, I sat in there for another 10 min until the doctor finally came in. He came into my room without acknowledging me, he didn't introduce himself not even a simple hello. He and the nurse went into a corner and started writing stuff down, he came and glanced at my lashes for a couple seconds ,then he says that he is going to prescribe me cream for my face, he never even looked at my skin which was the main reason I went there for. I had a lot of dry patches on my face that happened out of no where and I wanted to know if it could be just dry skin or possible eczema, he didn't ask me about the products I'm currently using he didn't ask when the dryness occurred basically normal questions a doctor would ask someone. The visit with the doctor lasted a whole 5 min he left the room without saying nice to see you or thanks for coming he just leaves the room. I go to check out and the "prescribed cream" is a white jar that looks like they bought some whole sale lotion and packed it in their own jar with a tacky sticker on it that cost $25.00, cetaphil works way better for half the cost. They wasted my time and money for services I really didn't get. If you want a doctor to actually speak with you about the concerns you have I would not recommend this doctor. I wanted to add one last thing. I did call the office manager the next day to tell her of the bad experience I had because this visit was certainly not worth my $300 +, I spoke with one lady she basically called me a liar, and then a different office manager called me back which I explained again my issues with the visit, then the doctor gets on the phone and has the nerve to argue with me and try and tell me that he did tell me what was going on with the issues I had, he was basically insinuating that I was lying. Never have I dealt with a doctor who is utterly unprofessional and rude. It took me two office workers and and argument with the doctor to basically rectify the situation. I just want to say that I don't mind paying $300 + for a visit if I'm actually getting the care I came for. I work at a hospital and I have never seen a doctor act the way he did absolutely unprofessional.Clearly this doctor is only worried about money and not the patients themselves.

Am up for a Mohls the end of Dec which I am nervous about, but I trust in the doctors here. The staff have always been thoughtful and considerate with me, and the young women that rang me to inform of the upcoming Mohls, was very patient and compassionate. Greatly appreciate!

While a gown is offered the exam still exposes the patient. My concern is- that it is best practice to have a female (same gender) in the room or to offer the patient a choice. While I could have spoke up to request a female, in the moment or leading up to the scan, I didn't. I thought about all the other patients that would not have been comfortable due to past trauma or other personal reasons. On my way from the exam room to the patient checkout there were a group of 3 or 4 female medical assistants in their work area. It appeared they would have been available. I spoke with the office manager before leaving offering my feedback. She was defensive. Kept repeating that a note would be placed in my records for next time. I told her that while I appreciate that, my point was to draw attention to their practice of not offering a female in with a female patient for a full body scan, such as it was. The office manager remained defensive and snarky saying they don't have enough female MAs available - to which I responded that there were at least three when I walked by their work station. As an aside, the male MA had terrible BO! What has happened to patient care? I felt the exam was ok, but also rushed - overall the experience left me with an ick feeling and questioning the thoroughness of the exam.

My friend and I went to work out with our own plan of action, 15 minutes cardio on the treadmill warm up, 45 weights, 15 minutes cool down. There is a spacious ladies locker room. What really makes this space special is the lighting and ample space to shower and get ready for work. Two women were getting their hair and makeup ready for work, with counters and mirrors set up for an HIIT class to get ready afterward easily. Advertised at the gym separate fees were tanning sessions. The gym had showers, sauna and cold plunge areas in the ladies locker room. In my time here in Wasilla I'm hoping to return as much as possible. There were so many machines I was unfamiliar with, I was able to complete my workout at 9 in a clean, elegant facility. I'd love to work with a trainer here. My next trip, I'm going to look into just that. The interior is all black with thin white lights floating high above, so you can focus on your tasks mentally while working out. A very nice facility. As a member my friend logged into her app, which generates a digital key to open the door for the gym. I'm happy to have enjoyed my workout here.
