I went in with specific concerns about my neck and shoulders, which were barely addressed, and frankly, I'm vaguely pissed about. BUT the rest of my body got the royal treatment, which was amazing. But it was almost like she was avoiding my problem areas, which is bizarre... My honey said his massage was amazing and his massuer completely addressed all his problem areas. We'll definitely be back and I'll try to make sure I'm clearer about my expectations . I'm also looking forward to trying their tai chi 101 classes on Tuesday and Thursday. For me it's important to have a feel of cohesiveness, trust, & comfort; especially when dealing with the vulnerability that you have to kind of surrender during a massage. My husband and I had a couples massage that was purchased off of Groupon. He was paired with Tammy and I Travis. Travis hit areas that I had no clue I had pain in. You can tell he really listens to your body's reactions in response to his manipulations. He worked a lot with pressure point release while still maintaining a fluidity of movement. Whereas me being a (what my husband and family calls me) modern day hippie my husband he is NOT he likes to forget the science and "hoopla" behind it and just wants a sound relaxing, put to sleep massage. That was expectation was not only hit but surpassed by Tammy's gentle touch. When talking with them you can tell they both have a genuine respect of the body. They both understand the "how" along with "what" it needs to heal. But wait it gets better! I've seen more than one massage therapist here and they all do an excellent job. You fill out an intake form before your first appointment so your massage can be tailored to fit your needs. And unlike other places I've visited, you actually get the full amount of time for which you pay. Other massage therapists I've seen wouldn't go for the full hour of my appointment but these ones do. Besides the massage quality, what stands out to me is the atmosphere of the place. The lobby is very calming with a water fountain and essential oils and other things for sale. The private massage rooms are just as nice. Soft lighting, pleasant music, and plenty of space around the massage table so you don't feel cramped. If you're a frequent visitor they have "memberships" that allow you to purchase multiple massages, and you can divide the payments. I would do that if I wasn't paying back hundreds in student loans every month. So for now this is a once a month "treat yo'self" kinda thing for me.

The front desk staff takes your temperature before you sign in and they sanitize the pens/high touch surface frequently. I've never had any issues with them that is inaccessible to my deafness.
