I went to the Selah Salon Spa to have services from Candy. I drove from Anchorage to Wasilla for…read moreCandy to do a facial, and it was worth the trip. This salon is based out of a lakeside residential property with amazing mountain views. The home itself has been converted into a salon with the family room converted into the nail salon, the garage into the hair salon, several relaxation zones serving as waiting areas, and smaller bedrooms for esthetician services such as waxing, facials, and other skin needs. Other small rooms are for massages. Candy has been an esthetician in the valley and in Anchorage for several years, and really knows her stuff. I have wax services with her, and this was my first facial. She customized my service based on what my skin type, novice experience, and needs for bridal make up. Her services are catered to your needs, she is always friendly, and ensures that your experience is what you want it it to be. Her room is set up so it can be relaxing with heated blankets, darkened window coverings, music, and will ask you what you need from her to make your experience what you want it to be. She walks you through each step, and what to expect to feel. I enjoy using Candy for services, and for new experiences because she will always make sure my comfort and relaxation is number one. She truly makes her customers feel like they are gold.

I wish no one would ever go to this spa. My son bought me a 100.00 gift certificate and I wasn't…read moreable to use it until just last week. So I called to make an appointment and was told that Selah sold out and they are NOT honoring the gift certificates that they have on file. I told the girl on the phone you mean my son is just out 100.00 and her reply was yes. I asked why they didn't contact me to let me know they were selling out so I could get in there to use the certificate. Her reply was well we do t do that.ito.d her I thought that was very bad business. She said that was all she could tell me and hung up. Please don't use this business!!! How do they sleep at night knowing they did this to people.

I'll link the massage lady in my pictures but she was absolutely wonderful, definitely will book with her again. (Crazy because I'm usually pretty picky!) I did a 60 minute and it was reasonably priced. It also for some reason felt longer than an hour but I guess it was just that good. Unfortunately she will be moving to a different location soon but look at the pics to see where it is. The other massage ladies here are wonderful too, I've done their facial and massage specials before. The aesthetic of this place is very unique and goth. Very creative artwork and decorated nicely (in my opinion) very comfy and cozy rooms for massage. I've also had a hair trim here before and it was reasonably priced and they do wash your hair before the trim. Definitely would recommend trying out this place!

She has an apprentice now and I enjoyed the extra company, love to see more people getting into this growing profession. The whole business is beautiful and has many options of services, great vibes all the way around. Definitely can't recommend them enough!

I felt extremely welcomed, appreciated and was treated as a valuable guest. A large menu of services, backed by quite a few who specialize in one or more services. I can't wait for my next appointment! They are.so knowledgeable and confident in what they do it immediately puts you at ease. I was greeted like an old friend, welcomed by all and felt I was a valued customer. Great customer service is rare these days, and I was so relieved and less apprehensive after just a few minutes. The only thing I found difficult was to figure out who to call, no numbers on the door, no set hours on the door. Luckily the first time I decided to just drop in, people were there. The next time I stopped by to see about an appointment for a different service, no one was there, I didn't see anything telling me how to make contact, who to call or a website. I definitely may have missed it on their window or door, but I did look for quite a few minutes. Luckily, I had the business card of the person who I saw the first time. To sum up, finally, I sincerely believe each one takes their craft, or maybe 'talent' is a better word, seriously. They strive for you to have an amazing experience and be like me..can't wait to go back and try a few other things I've never heard of but know I'm definitely in good hands'.

I was in town to attend a family wedding. Audrey was very nice throughout the process. Somewhere during the service things went wrong. Highlights around my face came out orange and all the beautiful light blonde I walked in with was covered by a dark and drab toner. Nothing could be done. It was 2 hours before the wedding .I realize it's only "hair "but it will be forever reflected in my family's wedding photos and quite honestly, I was devastated and embarrassed. I avoided being in photos as much as possible. Audrey I would highly recommend classes to upgrade your skills as a colorist. Now for the amazing part. For the next day, I was able to make an appointment with the salon manager, Rebecca. She knew exactly what needed to be done. She corrected the color and did her best to bring my hair back to its original blonde and take out those bands of orange around my face. Her years of experience were reflected in the outcome. I can't thank you enough, Rebecca. I just wish I found you first. You truly get five stars for hair and your understanding and kindness. Keep being amazing!
