The drift now has vegan food!! Stop by for a drink, friendly service, and some tasty vegan food. Indoor decor is super cool and themed like a ski lodge. Conveniently located down the street from Brooklyn Steel and Warsaw for before and after show drinks and grub. Happy Hours 5-7 and 12am-2 who does a late night happy hour?! 8 dollar beer and shot combos too!!

This is one of my favorite bars in Brooklyn. Pair their house pimento cheese with a rum punch and you've got yourself one satisfying night.

Only time I've ever paid to drink Miller Lite under a freeway overpass. The Photohunt machine is broken, there's no buffet, and the TV is permastuck on The Nature Channel screensaver. Anyhoot, the disgruntled former Floridian barkeep girl with bangs from the Commadore & her slap bassist friend from The Muppet Band opened a pop-up Ponderosa under the BQE. The wife likes it.

Just eat the nachos. Trust me. Happy hour is $2 off beers wells and cocktails, but not off the $3 existing draft beers. Fun patio, lighting is decent, and like I said, eat the nachos.

Orange Julio life! Great drink and looks good in your hand any time of year.

Love this bar! Head here before or after a show at the new Brooklyn Steel music venue (about an 8 minute walk away?). The Drift's classic ski lodge interior makes for a cozy and casual meeting place. It's got bouncy booths and boozy beverages!!! (The Orange Julio goes down real easy.) My cousin and I snacked on some yummy pimento cheese with jalapeño slices and threw back a couple Moscow Mules after seeing a rockin' Black Angels show.

Atmosphere: Good, Service: Excellent, Food: Give it a 2 out 10. Poke bowl, rice was hard. Calamari was falling apart and not great tasting.

Chill place. I really like that they have food, but the food is nothing special. Dog-friendly though!

Place is alright, but the beer - especially the Guinness - tastes like absolute shit. Somebody needs to get the lines cleaned, it's gross.

National Park themed, divey with some reasonably priced craft cocktails and 80's music. I dig it

I was expecting a full menu but I think they just offer mini burgers, bratwurst, nachos and pickles. We visited on a Friday night. It was packed. The small staff did a remarkable job of filling orders. I would have taken photos but it was so dark inside, I didn't see the point. My flash would have gone off and that would have been so annoying. It's billed as a 19th century bar with private booths. That's accurate. I attended a party there and I went visiting from booth-to-booth since each only seated 4-6 people. We drank pickle backs ( whiskey shots) because some in our party heard that the staff at Black Rabbit makes their own pickle juice. It was very good. There's also an outdoor garden/ gathering space which was fun but it might not see much use as the cold weather arrives. Black Rabbit is an unusual, fascinating place and a step into the past.

Big wooden booths make this a solid place to catch up with a small group, and it looked like they had some outdoor seating in the back as well. I was here past happy hour time during the week, but the prices here are still decent. My friend and I grabbed two rounds of vodka sodas and ended up owing $30 each. The bar had a handful of folks in here on a Thursday at 6 but wasn't too overcrowded. I liked the vintage style glasses and fun straw my cocktail came with. Our bartender was attentive enough and made good drinks. There are some TVs here in case you want to watch some sports. It's conveniently located right off the train. A very good dive bar, indeed.

Understated would be the best descriptor for this bar known for their PBR's and cheap beer+shot combos. In fact this has been the site of many film sets, chosen for its non regionally specific qualities because from the outside and inside it really does feel like it can be as much a bar located in a town many states over as one right here in Brooklyn, a little out of place among the new buildings and new age cocktail bars that populate the Greenpoint. It isn't just one demographic that you'll find filling most of the seats here either. Different age groups, personalities and backgrounds will find themselves here, much like the makeup of the surrounding neighborhood. A great equalizer of a bar, which is part of the draw. That you can have a raucous conversation with folks you may not otherwise find yourselves rubbing elbows with.

This bar is lame! People keep telling me "oh it's for locals" or "oh, this is a blue collar place",…read moreand I don't buy any of the excuses. It's just not fun, and the thought of it being any sort of "social club" (See: previous name, categorization on Yelp) is complete hogwash. I mean, they do beer/shot combos for cheap. That's cool I guess, but I had quickly learned it's what half the dives are adhering to. I don't care if their draught selection is sparse, what gets me is how tiny the pours are. I do not think it was even a full 12 oz in my little mug. Maybe 10. Can someone measure this out for me? Goodness gracious I don't like paying pint prices to get just over half a pint. Liquor selection blows. It's cash only, which you'd only know from a very small, inconspicuous sign above the register. And to make matters worse, their ATM was down! And they were completely unaware. Goodness gracious, I'd never come back here.
