Truly atrocious service and very mediocre food. The entrees all came out at different times, at least 30 minutes apart. This resulted in half of the table still waiting for their food while the other half had already finished their meals. We were a larger group but it took an unacceptable amount of time for everyone to get their food. Server was inattentive and made no real effort to deal with the issues at hand. We made several requests to speak with a manager but the manager refused to come out and speak with us. After waiting for about 20 mins for the manager to come to our table, we just gave up. Very unprofessional and cowardly behaviour. Whole experience was extremely disappointing and there was no real effort to rectify the situation, not even an apology. If the horrendous service isn't reason enough to avoid this restaurant, the food was very mediocre. Lots of the negative reviews of this restaurant are focused on the poor service and it's perplexing why ownership has not addressed this. read more

Delicious food, great service . We had a table outside which was lovely . It started raining and the staff were very helpful at moving us inside to a nice quiet table . Overall a great experience! We had the bean dip, the tomato salad and the sausage sandwich- all delicious! read more

Delicious wood fired margarita pizza! Perfect crust and delicious sauce and cheese. Nice restaurant on corner of Espanola Way.

Everything was so good! It's located in such a cute little corner of Miami Beach, you forget you're there. The mushroom pizza was amazing. Loved the tuna carpaccio and the humus as well for appetizer. The roasted cauliflower is a must!!! We ordered the lemon chicken to share and it was great. The green salad and the French fries.. amazing. Molten lava cake for dessert was also delicious! Will be back. read more

When you walk by the place, it will catch your attention because it so packed. All of the staff is so friendly and the ambience is incredible. I was greeted immediately and they were able to get me seated right away and also shared some recommendations. My waiter Karla, explained the dishes in great detail and also gave recommendations. She was friendly and with her working with multiple tables she was constantly checking in. I order the wild prawns with side of fries and the aoli was incredible. The salad that came with it was so flavorful everything tasted amazing! Prawns dish was absolutely incredible! Highly recommended if you love seafood. Cocktails are delicious and well balanced. I got the abduction of persephone :) Thanks for being so Attentive and the team works together. They were so aware of everything that was going on it's incredible and really showcases a great management team. 100/10 read more

We live in Miami in Beach . We did a walking tour today up Ocean Dr. with friends from away. We wanted a great place for a late lunch. The Drexel was a perfect choice. It is worth the two blocks walk west from Ocean Dr. to Espaniole Way. Heading west past the more touristy places off Washington Ave. you will find The Drexel. Fabulous foservice , ambiance. Next to Tropazon which we also love. So glad to have great new additions to Espanole Way! read more

Ate breakfast there every morning. Very nice place and the food was very nice. Pretty place to eat.

We didn't eat here, but had drinks at the bar. The bar was beautiful and the vibe was chill but got busier and busier as the night went on. Drinks were all on point! The female bartender was a bit rude, didn't seem friendly, and seemed like she hated her job. Maybe she had a bad night. read more

While walking the streets, we decided to grab dinner here and we weren't disappointed. For cocktails, we ordered the Greek Goddess and the Drexel Margarita. Both were very well balanced and delicious. We then ordered the Snapper and Pappardelle Pasta. The snapper was light and very well seasoned served with a herb oil sauce. The pasta was very well cooked with Italian sausage and a sauce that wasn't overbearing. Everything was lovely and the service was great! The server's recommendations were spot on. If we ever come back to Miami, we will definitely return. read more

Seven us went for dinner on a Friday night and all of us were wowed. What a great meal. I don't mind paying more when the food is this special. Everything fresh and delicious, made with care. Both indoor and outdoor seating is excellent. The service was the perfect amount of friendly and enthusiastic and spacious. Our waiter was clearly proud to serve and informed us that there is nothing is frozen. We could really tell. Between us we ordered: Tuna carpaccio, mussels, green salad, cauliflower, crab cakes, caccio e pepe, and the pizza made with pig cheeks ( I know it has a fancier name but I don't eat pork and it's all Wilbur to me). I had the green salad and I had to ask for the recipe because it knocked my socks off. A mix of buttery leaf lettuces, radicchio, frisée, mesclun perfectly dressed with a herbs, shallots, and the most subtle hint of orange and crunch. Excellent olive oil elevated every dish. The cocktails were also creative and well balanced. The music was perfectly unnoticeable yet lively. This was genuinely the best meal I've had in a long time. Thank you for caring! See, I don't always complain. read more

One of the best restaurants in the South Beach area. In the Espanola Way corridor, The Drexel is the new restaurant owned by the same owner of the famed Mandolin. I had read that the owners of mandolin in midtown opened a new restaurant in Miami Beach so naturally I had to check it out. It's a super cute restaurant great for date nights. It can get very busy so reservations are required. I had the "devil in a red dress" mocktail and it was so refreshing and delicious I highly recommend it. Also recommend "Argos" for any whiskey lovers. Appetizer I would recommend: the eggplant. Entrees: skirt steak and the prawns read more

There was so much not to like about this restaurant that it's hard to know where to begin. The tables were grimy. There was a foul odor emanating from the kitchen. We had a Greek cheese dish, fried cauliflower and a pizza. It all tasted the same because each dish was terribly over salted. We paid our bill and left because the food was inedible. The wait staff and manager did their best to be helpful but it was a losing battle. Worst food I ever had in a restaurant. read more

Disappointing. Bad service and food. To start, there was no flexibility to the menu. Could not make any substitutions. Once the food came out, all of the dishes were barely warm. Only positive was the scenery. All the restaurants around us were packed but there were plenty of tables available at Drexel. Guess I now know why. read more

Great place! Stopped by here randomly for dinner and we sat at the bar. Staff was very nice and welcoming. We ordered mussels, linguini and clams, and also a snapper. I strolled by this place several months ago and walked in thinking g they were opened when in fact, they were training their staff. The decor and vibe looked super cool so fast forward to this weekend, I was in the area and was lucky enough to have visited during their first brunch. Generally I believe that I tend to have high standards when it comes to the hospitality industry. The Drexel surpassed all my expectations. From the cool vibe and breezy atmosphere to the exceptional level of service and incredible food!!!! My shrimp avocado salad was perfection, the hummus starter was awesome and the Bloody Mary was absolutely perfect, especially if you like spicy bloodys. I can't wait to go back so I already made my dinner reservations. I highly recommend stopping by this gem of a place, I have a feeling that it'll be my new go to. read more

Excellent food, friendly and attentive service ... a bit pricey, but priced equivalent with the quality. Tourists would love this place if their budget can handle it, but locals and snowbirds out to enjoy a wonderful meal should flock here. Beautiful patio and interior space. Great vegetable offerings, excellent pizza (I'd call it Greek style pizza but that's just me), and appealing entrees. Flat iron chicken is pretty basic but perfectly prepared and delicious. very tasty food, nice but simple outdoor patio , just away from all the hectic craziness of the esplanade. definitely recommend . loved the mussels , large portion with thick cut bruschetta. read more

Got the whole roasted chicken, it was an adequate meal for two people. The waitress said it would serve 3 or 4 but maybe 3 or 4 women. It did have a lot of fries but they were pre cut frozen fries that you would buy at the grocery store, disappointing they can't make their own fries fresh because that would be a game changer. The salad was refreshing, a nice tangy citrus vinaigrette. The chicken was decent and the skin had good flavor but the chicken meat lacked flavor and the jus they included was tasteless. Needed to add salt. $50 ish for a meal for two is a good deal for Miami Beach, until you realize that it's not much more than a $5 Costco chicken with some sides and sauce to make it look better. Our server was very friendly but she was very slow and we had to ask twice or more times for everything (water, salt, napkins, ketchup, etc). Nice ambiance to eat outside and watch people pass by, while still being a little further away from the hustle and bustle of the main street. read more

The Drexel was an absolute standout in a recent trip to Miami Beach. Both the food and the service were phenomenal, and while many restaurants in the area have great food, the Drexel sets itself apart with friendly, professional servers and talented bartenders (perfectly made dirty vodka martini). The restaurant itself is tastefully decorated in an early 20th century, Hollywood / Art Deco style. I can't recommend enough. Next time I'm in the area I'll for sure be back! read more

Excellent restaurant, great service, best chef. Absolutely the best dinner we ever had, and we tried some like Manresa, Saratoga, Chez TJ, Mnt. View, gourmet places in CA, Merrimans Kapalua, Mama's fish house Maui, etc. Simple fresh ingredients, perfectly prepared. We had; mussels, green salad, pappardelle, hen of the woods, and strawberry Pavlova dessert. Excellent bread, pasta and sausage, all made in house. read more

The atmosphere is beautiful, the decor indoors is a natural chic beach vibe, and the service is fantastic. The drinks are delicious, especially the Sandy Shores. Food wise, here are the must haves: baked kefalograviera, the bean dip, and the whole organic chicken. The chicken is the tastiest chicken I've ever had, cooked on their wood burning fire oven. I can't say enough about this place! The food is spectacular. The mussels and flat iron flattened chicken are fantastic but then again everything we have ordered is great. Absolutely love Mandolin so I was thrilled to try out this restaurant. Ambiance and decor 5/5 Service 3/5 Food 5/5 Had to knock off a star due to service. Whenever our waiter came around he was great but it took us around 20 minutes to even have someone grab our drink orders. Thankfully I decided to put the tables order in at once so our food trickled in at a nice pace. Will definitely be coming back ! We had : The eggplant- needed a bit of salt for the flavors to shine but overall great Baked kefalograviera - just like mandolins saganaki Green salad - very light and refreshing, not much dressing but also not needed Mussels- a little fishy for my liking Cacio pepe - very light but tasty Prawns - come paired with the most amazing salad! Prawns were very fresh and flavorful Shishitos- average Skirt Steak- basically steak frites, can't ever go wrong ! For dessert we had the strawberry pavlova which was so good! And the soufflé which took 20 minutes and was pretty average I think they should smaller ramekins because the center was a bit underbaked and the egg flavor was really pronounced ( more soupy than a soufflé is supposed to be) read more
