This restaurant is located in the lobby of The Gale hotel. Food potions are huge. My friend and I shared a hummus platter then she got the chicken kabob platter- enough food for two people and I got the chicken gyro, also enough for two people. We both had the Santorini Margarita- first one was good, second one they used gable salt for the rim ?! Our second time eating there was at the bar had cocktails and shared a margarita pizza. Located on Miami Beach off Ocean Blvd at Southpoint & Nikki Beach. Thrilled to be able to get a table before Santorini by Giorgio's closes next month. We have a shady table poolside with a delicious healthy Greek menu and iced cold water... the Greek music played and Christina took good care of us; service was impeccable. We ate our way happily through Santorini. The Mezzi plate with lamb, calamari, meatballs, and hummus were outstanding. Prices have gotten more expensive and portions were not as generous as previously. A 20% service charge was added to our bill. We finished our meal with two delicious bites of baklava. Our icy cold beverages hit the spot as well as the endless water. read more

So good--my daughter and I shared their classic Greek salad add lamb gyro meat. The included tomato wedges, feta, red onion, cucumber, pitted Kalamata olives), tzatziki sauce were so fresh. The violinist poolside was a nice touch and service was great. Probably the best Greek salad I have ever had. The portion size could have been shared by 3 people. Wonderful dinner at Santorini. We started with the seafood salad, which was delicious, fresh, and healthy -- a great way to kick off the meal. Location is perfect 1 minute walk from the beach. Food was ok but nothing special. The service took too long. The restaurant wasn't crowded, maybe 5 tables occupied including us. It took 20 minutes for someone just to take our order. We got the first drink 40 minutes after seated. About an hour to get our food. Come for the beach proximity but don't come for service. read more

This place is a nice little Greek restaurant in our hotel, the Hilton Bentley. We had the happy hour tapas. All the food was great!! We had the gyro lamb meat, it's served without a pita, but was delicious! The kefeties (don't know about the spelling) were awesome and my wife had the Greek salad without lettuce and it too was awesome. They have the block feta not just the crumbles! Natalia was our server and she was awesome too! She was spot on keeping our drinks filled and was friendly enough too. I'd recommend this place to anyone that likes Mediterranean food. read more

Andrea and Milo's are great bartenders and therapists always willing to listen and serve fantastic drinks The food is freshly made with the best ingredients and I comes out super fast. I was staying at the Hilton. So this was a natural spot to try. The young guy that worked there is super nice. The food was good but slightly over priced for what you got. Greek salad was fresh. The fish addon was 5 slices of sashimi. Worked out to $30 before tax and tip Pool patio was well kept and clean. I should have stuck to Greek chicken or more traditional items. Maybe next time. read more

Our server was excellent, attentive, and helpful. This is a very fashionable restaurant. The food here on the other hand was mediocre. The Greek salad was poorly prepared with massive pieces of tomato, cucumber, and feta. How am I supposed to eat this? The Greek chicken skewers and lamb shank though generous in portion, had zero flavor. Even the Greek potatoes were bland as death. Where is the Greek in this food? I've been to Greece twice and saying my experience at this supposably high end Greek restaurant was very disappointing. I won't be back. read more

The food was very good. We got the mezze platter which was good with different hummus, dolemades,and a few other things. I got a lamb gyro which was very good, and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. The service was very good. Apparently my family goes there quite a bit, so they know the staff pretty well which might have helped, but they seemed friendly with everyone. Ambiance was cool, IMO, it's South Beach so of course, but I live in the suburbs and I don't get out much . I like that they smash plates on the floor for at least birthday celebrations, I'm sure with restaurant approval. Hopefully no one reads this and think it's okay to just smash plates read more

Located in the Hilton Hotel South Beach in Miami, this Greek restaurant offers classic fare in a poolside setting. We sat on the pool patio during happy hour. I had a Margarita $7 and we shared a Greek Salad $7 and the Carrot Zucchini Cakes $7. It was all delicious. They also have a full menu and of Mediterranean cuisine. Their food is very delicious. We love that they offer gluten-free pita bread. We planed our stay at Hilton Bentley because of the Greek restaurant being attached to the hotel and we can use our room food credits when we charge it to our room for being Diamond members. The service was good, but the only thing that bothered me is that they included the 20% tip on the check for 4 people without letting us know which is something that happens a lot in Miami and I didn't say anything because I was going to tip that amount anyway. Please be aware! The indoor and outdoor seating are very pleasant and beautiful. I will definitely go back to this restaurant even when I am not staying at the hotel. Their happy hour is amazing as well. read more

Happy hour poolside with live music, count me in! This menu is full of options and the happy hour menu is as well and very reasonably priced. I tried the meatball, calamari, hummus, and lamb gyro (not pictured) but was my fav! It was seasoned really well and delicious. The calamari and meatballs weren't as flavorful but still pretty decent. I loved the feta fries. Can't go wrong with hummus. Or Prosecco which was my drink of choice at $5 a glass. Our server wasn't the most attentive, but I'd definitely come back for the ambiance and happy hour menu. read more

Food and service was great. It was a hot humid night and everyone was sweating. Understood it's Miami... We asked to put on the ceiling fans and waiter said they didn't work. ‍ People were fanning themselves. Our bill was not cheap so maybe fix the fans. read more

When I requested the Lamb Gyro, the server pointed to an entree on the menu for me to approve. I made sure there wasn't another (re: pricier) offer. There was... it was the one he suggested. The gyro itself consisted of a bland (Tzatziki?) sauce that struggled to find my taste buds. Lamb (typically) has a gamey/slightly sweet flavor; these cuts seemed to be found from behind their refrigerator, (not from inside). They certainly weren't cut fresh from a spit, as they were old and nearly tasteless. The included slices of onion and peppers, delegated to the pita bottom, (instead of intermingling) barely helped. The French fries (included in the price) were the most flavorful part of the meal; although, they were an insult, rather than accompaniment to the experience. And, was that Latin (instead of traditional Greek) music coming from the speakers? Along with a 20% "Administrative" fee, I won't be tempted to venture in again.

We asked our server twice for drink refills, but she never brought them. We eventually had to flag down another server just to get our beverages refilled. Well I'm Greek and I moved from NJ to Miami 2 years ago and haven't found any spots with good food and good service.. let me tell you, nobody has tried authentic homemade Greek food in Miami until they try this spot. What an exceptional experience. from the moment we arrived we were treated as if they had known me and my family for decades. Once we received that treatment we were excited to see what was next in store for us. With that being said, the food and service has been the best i have ever received anywhere! Our waiter guided us through the menu and even made some wonderful suggestions, like the original greek salad, lamb chops and charcoal octopus which was beyond fresh and well prepared. Wow. This place is amazing and worth a visit. First, it's a bit further away from the busy Ocean drive restaurant scene. The food is amazing. We got here in time for happy hour and got to taste so many great plates for only $5. Our server, Yannis was very friendly and helpful, and explained the plates to us and made great recommendations. The atmosphere is amazing, they have a ton of space and a pool outside as well. The staff is all friendly and they check in on you. If you're in Miami, you've got to come here! Georgio is a most graceous and friendly host. My family and I have dined here several times, and Georgio and his staff truly make us feel like we are part of their family! The service, the staff, and the bartenders are all on point!! They go out of their way to accodate all and any requests. Georgio even made my baby niece who is the pickiest eater a special item that wasnt on the menu. Besides for the excellent service, the food is top of the line. Fresh. Tasty. HUGE portions. First time in Santorini By Georgios and it was not good. I was sitting at a corner table and people kept passing by and knocking the chair off, the table kept shaking and it was really annoying. I had to move the whole table in order to sit and eat in peace. Food was okay, didn't have much flavor. I'm very disappointed because I went for my anniversary with my boyfriend. I expected a much better experience. Liquor tasted like water and music was way too loud. Only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because of the atmosphere. Let's start with the food,varieties are good, we had Shrimp Santorini Garlic bang,Chicken noodle soup with vegetables, Chicken gyro pita,chicken kebabs and Brownie with vanilla ice cream. Everything was well managed except the dessert, Ice cream which was served along with brownie was so bad. Disappointed that they have served the ice cream of which most of it was already melted. Over Labor Day weekend my daughter had her wedding at the Hilton Bentley South Beach and Santorini's knocked it out of the park. We asked for a Chipotle style dinner for the rehearsal dinner, the chicken and beef were tender. The guacamole was fabulous and the guests couldn't get enough. We discovered this place by chance. The place is a blast, with truly fantastic food. The place was packed on a Wednesday night, and they had belly dancing. The service was fantastic. Our waitress Paolina was very friendly, and explained the items on the menu very nicely. She answered our questions and we ordered a ton of food - so much that we couldn't take another bite. This is the best Greek restaurant I have ever been to. The freshest fish and the best drinks. I came with a group of friends and stayed at the beach and then came to the restaurant and sat by the pool and had an amazing lunch. Had a reservation on Saturday night. when we got there, their was a table full of teenagers screaming and talking super loud. It was so noisy in the restaurant i couldn't hear my husband speak. After looking at the reviews I presented Mareva 1939 as my top choice. I contacted them and made a reservation for 10 people, and after the first reservation time I had to adjust with Mareva for people arriving in late because of flights. No problem for Mareva and they didn't need a deposit for the restaurant. It is in the National Hotel, next to where we are staying box 1 check. The place was beautifully decorated and staff all attentive throughout the night. That was my criteria not my boss' since the lack of good service can destroy a great meal. The food choices all were excellent but centered on tapas and Spanish cuisine which checked the second box. Served family style we all chose a number of different tapas and shared. Then large patella dishes, they were plentiful and all delicious. Lastly the price, which may seem high for those outside the area but not for those who know Miami Beach. The bill for the 10 of us that included several drinks person and enough food and desserts to leave us full came to $1,002 including tip and taxes. All boxes checked and my boss and team happy, Mareva 1939 was a huge success.
