I hardly give any one stars, but unfortunately this warrants one based upon installation workmanship and service in response to that.
PROS: Initial sales was informative and pleasant. Pricing on par.
CONS: Installation workmanship. Slow to respond. Not completely satisfied.
I had them install my windows and doors during my remodel. They dragged my window frames off their truck leaving scratches and black marks on the edge. I'm perplex why the corners weren't protected.
Caulking around the frame had holes and opening. On some windows the bottom wasn't sealed at all. I'm no window expert, so I went back to ask. One of their sales person stated it was normal to do so and not to worry about the bugs that might crawl in. Don't need to be an expert to know that was "the wrong answer".
The re-stucco was done incorrectly, did not match the original. Swirls were very obvious, no attempt to blend the old and new. I can only compare it to a bad bondo job on a car.
There was a small cosmetic manufacture defect on one of the window, a dimple on a metal piece within the two panes. I contacted the manufacturer, told me to work through the seller.
I leverage and withheld final payment till I was satisfied. It went on for a long time however, more than a few weeks. I felt I got the "run-around".
After weeks, finally the owner himself came out and remedy what he could. He removed the black marks (however, upon close inspection you can see the scratches), caulked everything (could be cleaner though), and re-stuccoed (satisfied with).
At the last moment I did error though, I paid them too soon, as they promised to remedy the manufacture defect. However once paid, I never heard from them again.
Hard to say if my project was an anomaly. My best advice, and that goes for any contractor, pay in increments. It's the only leverage you really have. read more
