It is just a temporary setup for the holidays but based upon the amount of customers inside I would imagine a permanent store may be built. If you have money, and can find parking, this is the place to be. From Venezuelan food trucks to Louis Vuitton, you'll find almost anything you're looking for here. I stayed at an apartment here for 3 months in 2021, so I got to know the area well. Most businesses are dog friendly, and several put on drinking water of hot days so you can take your best friend with you, just please have them do their business and pick it up at the dog park. If you're looking for something affordable to eat, I recommend Hat Creek, or Velvet Taco (get the chips and queso to fill you up). For nightlife I highly recommend 77 rooftop. The Domain is a great outdoor mall with a vast selection of shops/brands we love at different price points. Foot traffic can be insane during the weekends which is why I prefer visiting on a weekday. There's plenty of parking throughout the mall - just depends on your preference. I tend to park near the entrance as I prefer walking - a little exercise and shopping is a day well spent. The Domain is a pretty cool open mall. Plenty of shops for you to cruise around. However, the added bonus for us is the fact you can bring your dog to all of the stores. For those visiting Austin with their four legged friend, this is an excellent place to spend the day without having to worry about your dog. This is one of the largest shopping centers in Austin. There are many upscale brands and nice restaurants all around. It's really fun to go during Christmas time to see all of the lights. In a way it kind of is with all the stuff going on here. It's easily accessible from the suburbs of Austin, just take the toll and you're there. If not suffer the consequences of sitting in traffic getting there. I have tried both ways getting there and the toll is the way to go. I have shopped, ate their with some friends and family, and hung out in one of the pubs there. Parking close by where you are wanting to shop can be pain, but hey it's a cool place to hang out. On this day it wasn't as fun because of the rain, with the stores being outdoors we were stuck inside a lot of the time. When it wasn't raining it was cold. So we stopped by the Starbucks for a hot chocolate. The Domain is very spread out and can be confusing to navigate. So I should preface this review with the statement that I am a Grinch when it comes to the "holiday season" and not because I am a "Spirit of Xmas" hater, but it seems with every passing year, the Christmas shopping season seems to bring out the absolute worst in humanity and every year I try my darnedest to avoid being a part of it, so I usually limit my holiday shopping to online as going to places like Barton Creek Mall, where you are enclosed with the crazed masses, gives me anxiety attacks and claustrophobia. However, when I had to go to a couple of places that the Domain had instead of the Mall, I was pleasantly surprised. Open air shopping is not only refreshing and much maneuverable than the space restricted mall atmosphere, but I liked the abundance of restaurants and even upscale shops to do window-shopping. Traffic can get a little crazy on the Braker St side of the Domain, but nowhere near the chaos that occurs elsewhere. I also really liked how plentiful the garage parking is here. So, put on a comfortable pair of walking shoes, a jacket and scarf and enjoy the great Capitalist Outdoors! read more

The Domain is a large outdoor multi-use area. There's plenty of stores for shopping, a variety of restaurants and even apartments/hotels. This was my first time to visit this area and I was impressed with the amount of retail shops. I was able to shop at some of my favorite like Victoria Secret, Coach, and (window shop) at Tesla. I searched for a brunch spot and we decided on Kona Grill. Parking is around the edges of the shops and even in front of some. You would need your walking shoes since the stores are pretty spread apart. It was raining today, so we got pretty soaked since most of our walk was not covered by an awning. This made our trip to this outdoor area short, since we didn't bring an umbrella. I would love to come back and check out the rest of The Domain. read more

Busy busy and construction in some areas which can make it difficult to make you're way around. The signage was not the best to find the exact place you're looking for and The Domain is pretty big so a bit more signs to guide you as to where certain restaurants and stores are at would be helpful. They do have some areas with free parking so that was nice, but I ended up parking really far from where I was actually going and I was late due to the traffic and not really knowing where I was.
