The worst manager! Today is Sunday, June 22, 2025 and whoever the manager was literally locked me out while I went to get my wallet out of the car. She quickly responded with "we close at seven" meanwhile, my cab still needed paid. She was terribly rude and inconsiderate to myself our entire party. The worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant and I will not go back because of one individual. Our poor server felt the obligation to continue to apologize for the terrible behavior. I would rather pack a soggy sandwich, then have another interaction at this restaurant. read more

Has a nice view the food was pretty mediocre for the price you have to pay. Nice staff just not worth the price.

Avoid. Kitchen is extraordinary slow. The place just opened up; you would think the service would be optimal.

Great little lakeside restaurant/pub. Inside and outside dining and drinks. Service was great and very attentive and friendly. Food was hot and delicious. Drinks were awesome. Blueberry margarita's and Bloody Mary's tasty and refreshing. Great value. A very nice place to relax and enjoy dinner/drinks. As with ANY business during this COVID pandemic, patience is needed. It is nice to support local businesses. It is always relaxing to have a glass of wine by the water. I am vegan so had the veggie fajitas.

This is definitely the best dining option in the area which is why I am giving it 5 stars. The food is very good, great biscuits and gravy, and I personally like the quesadillas. Great outdoor covered patio for waterfront dining. Amazing pies. The service is great but the kitchen is slow, so be prepared to relax and have a drink while you wait for your food. read more

Steak sandwich is the best! Home fries are great as well. Service is slow. Took one and a half hours to get our food from the time we sat down. I understand being busy and short on staff but I feel you should be honest and tell people the time it will take. Maybe only seat the number of tables you have the wait staff to serve and the kitchen can handle in a reasonable amount of time. Our waitress tried her best but was very busy and it was hard to get drinks and the condiments I wanted to enjoy my food. She was very apologetic, but it really wasn't her fault. We were pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant. We sat out on the newly renovated patio, which had a great view of the lake and boat dock. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and lobster bisque. My husband ordered the smoked beef brisket dinner. Both dishes were pretty good, and the dinner portion was very generous. The waitress was attentive until we needed a refill and carry out box. We sat and waited for about 8 minutes, with no sign of the MIA waitress. We finally got up to find her, and the other waitresses had to go track her down. Even though the service wasn't that great, we would probably eat here again if in the area. read more

Service was slow. Husband ordered the pulled pork over nachos. I'm assuming that our food was not brought out to the table right away because the tortilla chips were very soggy. Sadly my husband said he will not be going to Dock Side again. read more

Started with iced tea with lemon. Tea had no tea flavor. It tasted like flowers and we had a small, narrow wedge of lemon, not enough to flavor the tea. We ordered colemon fish with cottage cheese and coleslaw. Flavor of coleslaw made it unpalatable ( perhaps just a matter of taste). Fish was over battered, over cooked, flavorless, tough. My husband when asked for a critique of his Rubin said, "I've had worse." Not a glowing report. Service ok , but we arrived at 2:00 pm. In short, we will not be back. read more

Nice little place to eat in Senecaville. We were passing through (not actually camping or staying) and decided to sit outside and grab a bite to eat for dinner. The Coleman's fish sandwich was a hit and the turkey burger had a great crisp and juiciness to it. I imagine if we did stay in Senecaville, we would be hitting this place up for dinner often. read more

I want to give this place a good review. Seneca lake needs a great local restaurant. But this isn't it. The menu is too ambitious and trys to be everything to everyone instead of focusing on some basic items and doing them well. The service, while friendly, is sub par. Several weeks ago our table had several orders of ribs and was told 25 minutes after ordering that they were out of them. So at the time our food should be coming out we had to order new items. My neighbor on a subsequent visit pulled a paper out of his taco salad and the response was "sorry" not we will take that off your check. I've been there 3 times and the food is below average. I hear the BBQ is really good but I won't ever have it because I won't return. But the ice cream truck outside the place is great. read more

My reason for the three stars. Well, we were cruising by the lake just because we had not been in the area since they renovated the restaurant. Much to our surprise, they were open on Christmas Eve. We were hungry and decided to give it a shot. Started out fine. There was one other table and the waitress (who later told us she owned the place) tended to us quickly. They carry Pepsi products, and I'm a Coke man. But I love Dr Pepper too. Don't have it. Ok, I'll do Pepsi, don't have that. Apparently they're switching to Coke and didn't want to order more of the syrup. Ok. Bummer. But we will get past it. She goes for our drinks and we decide what we want. When she returns and we place our order, yep, she tells us they don't have any of that either. From the appetizers we wanted to both entrees. So then I decided to go for the panini they had on their board outside...mope, don't have that either. She went to check with the cook though if maybe they could do the panini. Meanwhile, we contemplated just paying for our drinks and leaving at this point. But we stayed when she could do my panini. She was super nice, and attentive. Food was good (except for the Mac and cheese) and the cherry cheese pie was x ellent. I had read reviews that service was slow. We didn't have that problem on Christmas Eve. But the lack of menu items was disappointing. Perhaps if she would've told us what all they were out of when she got our drinks we wouldn't have had such a bad experience. I hate picking my meal out and getting excited about it, only to have my hopes and hunger dreams thrashed. read more

Salad was just ok, entree consisted of tough chunks of meat, not sure if it was beef or pork ,overcooked rigatoni in a cream sauce. It was served room temperature instead of piping hot. Most at our table just dabbled around for a few bites. The banana split pie was very good. I wanted to like my meal, but that didn't happen. read more

We've eaten here twice and the food was excellent. Ruben is prolly the best I ever had. We also had breakfast and it was awesome. The only things keeping this place from getting 5 stars is, getting your food is a bit long and it's a little pricey, but we will definitely be back and highly recommend checking this place out. read more

Be prepared to drink lots of coffee. Because you will wait for an hour or more to get your food. The staff seems nice but they show little interest in giving prompt service. Most of them stand around and look like they are lost in a haze as one waitress serves every table. When asked about the long wait they don't even offer an apology. The food is ok but there isn't anything on the menu worth waiting so long for. We won't be back. Which is a shame because we camp out here all summer. read more

What a great New Years Eve dinner we had at the Dockside. Our family, who are sometimes hard to please, thought the food was wonderful and generous portions. The cherry vinaigrette dressing was a huge hit. What a nice and pleasant New Years Eve dinner. the two for one steak or chicken combos were a great idea. The place was really busy but it was a fun atmosphere and the staff did a great job keeping up.. Would love to make this an annual New Years Eve tradition. See you in March. maybe for my birthday. read more
