Nice staff .. Friendly atmosphere. However the food is mediocre . Benedict was so so .. Lunch meat for Canadian bacon was spotted right off .. Potatoes are a frozen product 100%.. Sadly his place has lost a step with the food .. But loyal patrons continue to accept it .. Won't return as there are too many better options . We had a wonderful breakfast here but the most wonderful thing was that it had a nice atmosphere the food was good the staff was ok, our server was new and a bit slow, but we all was there once in our lives, Right? Ok, now the food..... Awesome breakfast!!! Had the "scramble eggs omelet" and it was amazing, kind of like an omelet that is scrambled but with more cheese! Breakfast also comes with a super fluffy, light biscuit and some sliced browned potatoes & chicken fried steak WoW... It was delicious, absolutely delicious. I'm never disappointed here! Great food, great prices and ... They have wifi!! And don't mind u hanging around to do some work on ur computer. The atmosphere is so comfy and the oldies music just adds to the greatness. Great for the whole family or just as a study spot... Great breakfast! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Semper Fi. My favorite thing on the menu is their chicken fried steak.

Busy place. It was good but not over the top. I enjoyed the meal. I would go back as opposed to going to a chain type restaurant.

My family and I have eaten here several times and it is consistently great! Service and food is excellent. We have tried the multigrain pancakes, Texas waffle, southwest chicken salad, patty melt burger, eggs, sausage. Everything we have eaten here was phenomenal! This place is great for breakfast, lunch, families, couples. Just love it! No complaints. read more

Their omelets are consistently good and service has always been good. The burgers and sandwiches I got were good, but standard fare. I'll give it a few more years when their grill is well seasoned from hundreds of burgers. Having said that, any cook that knows how to cook eggs properly, without putting any brown lace on them is tops in my opinion! Hence the four stars: eggs and service! read more

Loved the ambience as soon as we walked in the door for breakfast. Christian music played softly in the background. Were seated quickly and had our drink orders taken immediately. I ordered the East Texas Eggs Benedict. One reviewer complained about the "appeal of the presentation" of two eggs on two pieces of sausage on a split buttered biscuit smothered in cream gravy. Umm, how would YOU prepare such a delicious meal otherwise? I guess they could have stuck some type of Hawaiian flower in the pool of gravy? The meal was absolutely delicious! I'll definitely be back again! Oh, and just for giggles, my wife ordered us the "chicken fried bacon". LOL! I guess they'll fry anything in Texas and we were game to try it, since we live bacon. I love the food.. although i haven't made it past Eggs Benedict though... And the batter fried bacon is really something you at least have to try once! Breakfast is crowded on weekends... and the wait is long so be prepared... and make sure they write your name down.. because sometimes if you don't... you won't get called and be sitting for a long time. I once had to go back up and ask if we were on the list.. i was assured we were 30 min. later i went back up and asked again they said yes.. when i asked to see where we were... we were not even on the list... now that was a very bad start to the morning... but yes i am still a fan! We stopped in here after looking up Diners in the Tyler area. Love this restaurant The food was amazing and the service was great. The one thing that really made an impression on us was the floor manager. We were seated and looking around for the restroom when he came out and greeted us. He directed us to the restrooms and ensured that our server would be out soon. Overall a very nice and comfortable place to have brunch. read more

Very good breakfast. Service was great. Sausage patties are Jimmy Dean! Hash browns were great but serving size a little smaller than most places. Only one piece of toast so I ordered another one. My husband had a chicken fried steak omelette and loved it! But my experience was quite difference. Ordered the pecan pleasure pancakes. Was just brought out plain pancakes. Waitress didn't even notice...I had to ask for the pecans that were supposed to go inside and on the pancakes. The top pancake was dry, but I figured I would deal with it, then took a bite of the bottom pancake and it was very burnt. It tasted awful! If the kitchen burns a pancake, they should just throw it away and not try and hide it under a pancake that is decently cooked. When they brought back the new pancakes they were great. Only issue is that they didn't bring syrup or butter for the pancakes. Had to ask for that as well... One last comment, when I went to the restroom after we ate here last week, someone from the kitchen was in there and went into the restroom stall with her kitchen apron on...which is unsanitary and a policy needs to be put into place that doesn't allow aprons that are used in the kitchen into the restrooms. read more

Breakfast was just ok. Cinnamon roll was dried out and reheated so that the frosting was bubbly and melted completely off the roll into a puddle on the plate...not good. Waitress didn't ask how my daughter wanted her egg when she took our order, and then brought out a flat, folded over (I guess you could call it scrambled?) unappetizing pile of egg. She did replace with an over easy egg when we asked. Service was just ok also. I'm not likely to come back. read more

Bland experience at this place. Hash brisket skillet was small in portion for price and the meat was fatty. It's not mixed with hash brown, as incorrectly told by waitress, but stale mash potatoes. Food was good, good sized portions. Wait wasn't too long for a party of 7 for Sunday brunch. However the service wasn't great. Food came out fairly staggered, maybe 10 minutes before first and last dish. And didn't bring syrup for pancakes and waffles even though they brought them first. We had to ask for it. Service tip: if a table orders pancakes or waffles, immediately after putting order in, bring syrup to the table. Crabcake Eggs Benedict was good, however they toasted the English muffin long before serving and probably left it on a hot plate, so by the time it was served, it was tough and impossible to cut through. Luckily since it was Crab cake Benedict the english muffin wasn't needed. Tasted good though! Migas was quite tasty, especially with the fajita meat. Service is good. That's pretty much it. Food was blah. Nothing write home about. I had the East Texas Egg Benedict. Very uneventful. It came out very assembly line-esk. With no real appeal on the plate presentation. The gravy had no distinct flavor. Although the biscuits were well made but without a complimenting gravy it's not exciting. Really good lunch spot. My husband and I ate here after worship on our way back home out of town. I got the chipotle chicken sandwich and oh my goodness it was so good. I can see myself craving that thing. I believe it was the jalapeño bun that sold me, it had a nice buttery taste and it was soft! Thank goodness we are moving to Tyler in the future, I would definitely get that again. My husband got the lunch special; blackened chicken with a side of red beans and rice and vegetables. They brought it out without any rice, but they corrected it. He didn't like it, said it was bland. I told him I would never get that any where other then a Cajun restaurant lol. Ambiance and service were great. The food was good but average. Very friendly staff. Waffles were served on a plate that was filled with melted butter. They were tasty but preferred not to have them soaked in butter. Blueberry pancakes were tasty but chewy. Pretty middle of the road experience so I will likely not end up here again. read more

The Diner is on my list of favorites now. My husband and myself tried this place out for the first time on our traditional breakfast date after we drop kids off on the first day of school. We usually go to the our usual place(ihop) but we decided to tried something a little different,and by all means I am glad we did. The menu has so many options for breakfast and also lunch if you not a breakfast person. I couldn't decide on what to order so our waitress (Gloria) was such a great help. I ordered the Iron Man which comes with two eggs,ham steak,bacon,skillet potatoes and a short stack of pancakes, She told me that was a great option so I can at least try alittle of everything and it didn't disappoint me. My husband ordered the Meatlovers Omelette with hashbrowns,biscuit and gravy. so if you are in the mood for so great breakfast or maybe lunch give The Diner a try. read more

We ate here two mornings in a row. It was absolutely superb!! Fantastic food and superior service.

We tried the combination breakfast, scrambled eggs,hash browns,bacon and a pancake. Eggs were horrible, they claim fresh cracked and scrambled. However it taste like some type of liquid egg product, cooked in oil rather than butter. Sums up why at 8:00 AM the place was about 1/10th occupied and it should be full. read more

Get breakfast this morning to go, and the to go service was great, although I got a cinnamon roll and they looked old but I thought maybe they could have been frozen ?
