Great food, great service and a view to die for. I had the Brisket Benedict and it was fantastic. Wife dad the waffles and they were great as well. Service was fast and friendly. Recommend visiting when in McCall.

Haven't been here since the new ownership/name change. And WOW! Very impressed. Our server was wonderful, food took a bit to get but we just enjoyed the view while we waited. I got the brioche French toast with sausage patty and eggs. The French toast was amazing and I don't say that lightly because I am pretty picky about it. Sausage patty's were hand made and delicious.! Sorry about the pics of 1/2 eaten food. Of course you also can't go wrong with the patio view!

This place seems to have two Yelp entries, so pasting this review here as well... My wife and I had read the reviews about this restaurant, and we were excited to give it a try for breakfast. We made a reservation and noted we had a dog (so we asked for patio seating). From the moment we walked in, it was possibly the worst dining experience we've had (and we've had some bad ones. First, the hostess was extremely rude to me when I approached her and asked about my reservation. After telling me to step aside while they waited in a large party, she marched us out to the patio and gave us a table in a corner since we had a dog. BTW, we weren't the only ones with a dog. The table had water spilled all over it and no one bothered to wipe it off. She gave us one menu (and a kids menu) and left. We then sat there for close to 15 minutes before the waiter came. We asked for water and coffee, and after 10 more minutes our food showed up, but still no water or coffee. Finally, water came out from a different person and no coffee. I asked to see the waiter and after several more minutes (about 25-30 at this point) the waiter arrived with coffee. I had French toast which was very hard (I.e. cooked too long). But my bacon was very undercooked. My wife had an egg sandwich which she said was good, but the dish of fruit they brought out was actually translucent (very old and soggy). We sent it back, and the girl came back with it and said "all the fruit in the bowl is like this". She did offer to bring my wife some strawberries, and they weren't bad. I told the girl that this wasn't a very good breakfast so she sent her manager out who also happened to be the owner. When we mentioned the quality of the food, she said "we are slammed" and then she told us to "finish up eating and skeedaddle ". I overheard her tell the waiter to void our ticket and we were not welcome there again. They were sorely understaffed for Memorial Day weekend, rude, and I wouldn't say very welcoming. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal and a welcoming environment. And the owner/manager needs to take some basic customer service training (along with the hostess)

It's decorated all cute in here, and the view of the lake is amazing! Our server was really nice and got us everything quickly. But I'm writing this review mostly for the food.....it was soooooo yummers!!! The breakfast burrito was huge and delish and came with your choice of side. And I got waffles which came with eggs and a protein it was so good. The eggs were perfectly scrambled not too dry or wet, and the sausage links were hot and juicy. I'm coming here every time I'm in McCall now!!

No complaints. Great, friendly staff. We were quick to be helped, and order taken. We got the carnivore and eggs Benedict and loved both. Gorgeous views, I wish it had been a warmer day so we could sit outside! If we could go back tho, I would definitely get share. Ginormous portions. We all took half home.

And how cool are these mimosa flight holders? Handmade by the owner

We came to "The Den" in McCall during our April 2025 trip to Idaho. It was a chilly yet sunny day and the view of the lake was still frozen over but really pretty. I bet it's even better during the summer. Food, Service, and Ambiance were great. Owners are really cool and it was nice chatting with them while we were there. They have a unique mimosa flight with lots of different flavors. The bbq brisket was delicious. They smoke all their meat daily at the restaurant. You can tell the owners really care about their business and customers. We will definitely be back in the future.

We were excited to have brunch in the afternoon in McCall, Idaho. Food was average, Wyatt was our waiter and he was excellent. Beautiful lake side setting but seemed like nothing special as far as the food was concerned. The side order of potato's were dry and really nothing to write home about. See our photos

Sooo good!! Too big to eat it all, too good to leave! Wes and Jenny are awesome people!!

All the wait staff were excellent. They came by several times to make sure everything was okay. The food came out quick, although the pub wasn't busy. Oh yes, to the food. The squeeze and I shared an order of finger steaks and fries. It is our norm to split an order for lunch. The meat tasted good, nice and tender. Spices in the coating decent. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The dip for the finger steaks had a good amount of horseradish in it, wasn't overpowering but put heat into the bite. They did bring an extra plate, which was nice, and not to be charged for it is even better. They may have added some extra fries and fingers, don't know, but we were more than satisfied with the quality and quantity. Hippy Hopped Pale Ale had a nice taste of hops, kind of like a session IPA. The Mackinaw Red brew was oh so malty! It was a little cool in there.

The pretzel was good, and the hot, spicy mustard was good. Good for a mid-day snack after skiing. The place was kind of broken/trashy. We were sitting at the bar and noticed that the brewing supplies were a little gross. I thought brewers were clean? The signs were not updated and had a make-shift feeling. Sad to see what was once a great brewery is now trying to pick up its pieces.
