It has been so long that I visited this place. The atmosphere is casual, friendly staff and fair speedy service. Waiters always are on point with the orders and constantly checking on the patrons to make sure they have what they need. The menu has plenty of choices for everyone, but most importantly, the kitchen delivers up to your expectation. Many places have awesome picture menus but when the dish comes it seems nothing like it at all. Fortunately at this eatery, they do care for that they make sure that you're satisfied. Horrible service. We were seated right away but didn't have a server greet or take our order for 20 + minutes. No one offered to bring drinks or apologize for the wait. I had to ask the host for the server twice and a manager who never appeared. I'm the meantime I see servers walking very slow and using cell phones, which isn't a acceptable when it's busy. Another server finally appeared just to say our server was busy in the back and that she had too many tables (in which case we shouldn't have been seated). I am a breakfast platter kinda gal, and so I ordered the usual: two scrambled eggs (with cheese), bacon, house potatoes, and wheat toast. I must compliment the bacon for being PERFECT - I asked for crispy, and I got crispy. However, the eggs were a little bland, and had a mysteriously low tide taste. The menu selection is great, and I will definitely be returning to this breakfastery to sample some of the other options. I ordered a seasonal pumpkin spice latte, which was great and came with a generous topping of whipped cream. I have faith in you, Delectable Egg! This place is lucky it's the only brunch spot in the neighborhood. I've been to 2 of their other locations and the food is consistently good, but it's never been great. The biggest bummer about this location were the hosts. We came in on a busy Sunday, were quoted a 15 minute wait, and then seated 45 minutes later. The hosts seemed unconcerned and annoyed if anyone asked about the wait (we saw quite a few parties come up and ask while we were waiting) They also seemed to know they weren't quoting accurate wait times, but didn't care. They were gossiping with each other and drinking whip cream out of ramicans at the host stand. It was weird. They also didn't seat anyone at either of the 2 patio sections which were completely empty and would have eliminated the wait... They also didn't mention the complimentary coffee they have available to people while they wait which we found after 30 minutes of sitting there and had to ask about ourselves. Our waiter, Jesus, saved this experience for us. He was one of the best waiters I've had at any restaurant EVER. So bravo, sir! He went from table to table engaging each customer like a friend, transitioning in conversational English and Spanish without skipping a beat, and just brightened up the day of every person I saw him interacting with - my hangry self included. She then gave me the total and I gave her a 20. She stands there thinking and says 30 seconds or so later, "did you want to pay for this now?" I said well yes I already have you the money. I leave with my to go food, because it's too busy for me to wait, when I get to the car I find out it is missing the meat. I went back and told them the issue, not the same women, does not say a word she just takes the food back to the kitchen. I wait. She brings it back and says here you go. We ate at the downtown location and it was great. The Lowry location is closer so we tried it twice now. The first rime was not good, but we decided to give them another shot. It was the wrong choice. Our orders have been wrong, cold, not seasoned, and looks like the food was dumped on with no regard for how it looks. There was also hairs in my food, stuck in the cold cheese. It is like they don't care at all. Next time save your money or go elsewhere. Shameful. read more

We popped in on a Sunday, had a short wait and ended up having a great server. She told us about their loyalty program and was very attentive. You know how you crave a food and when it's a letdown, it's a super letdown? I woke up craving a cinnamon roll. I remembered the food being decent at Delectable Egg, even though I hadn't been there in about 3 years. I ordered from Uber Eats and got a cinnamon roll and the French toast royal.....figuring this would be breakfast for 2 days. The French toast, eggs and bacon were decent. But the cinnamon roll was packaged in the original gas station type packaging. Seriously? First rule of cooking school is presentation is everything. If I wanted a gas station cinnamon roll, I would have gone to a gas station. This place has gone downhill. Next time I'll go to my new favorite place in Stapleton, Hashtag. Came here for a Saturday brunch. The sausage I had was very flavorful and not just greasy like sausage can be. The pancakes were huge and fluffy. The eggs were probably my least favorite part of my platter as they needed a lot if salt. Service was very good even though they were packed. The food took a while to come out, but again, they were very busy. I always wonder how this place stays in business.....oh wait, it's because people like me actually go back when it's not stellar but it's the only option in that area, but I've gone for the last time now. I've had quite a number of things from their menu and nothing is great, everything is average, at best. Most of the items I've had are pretty blah, I've had food come out cold, and I've been pretty disappointed in many aspects. Most recently I ordered the fresh fruit and granola crepes with yogurt. First of all they need to amend the menu, it's not plural, it's "crepe" or at least that's what I received. I received a darling little crepe that was filled with nothing but cantaloupe chopped up into tiny pieces and 2 surprising grapes inside the crepe. Garnishing the crepe was a dollop of yogurt, a few paper thin slices of banana and possibly the total of 1 strawberry chopped up. Off to the side were a few of those teeny tiny canned blueberries...and this is June folks, blueberries are plentiful and relatively inexpensive. Oh, I forgot to mention I did receive a granule or two of granola sprinkled on top---almost lost them in the melon though! The worst thing about the meal is that it is accompanied by a side of awful cooked apples in a horrible and sweet gel of some sort. By the way, I'm not saying this is the worst experience I've had here, once the "crepe" was filled with honeydew melon and nothing more---that was beyond bad. There is a great breakfast restaurant in another city (a small chain) that does a similar meal with 2 very full crepes with a multitude of different fruits, an entire ramiken of granola AND they give you a large freshly baked muffin---all for the price of The Delectable Egg's poor attempt at this meal. read more

I had the Idaho skillet and it did the job with filling me up. I love the green onions sprinkled on top of the potatoes. Gave it a good flavor. My friend's Denver omelette was pretty sad though. There were no tomatoes, barely any cheese, and only a sprinkle of chopped ham. It was also dry and overcooked. Service was pretty decent until we got to the end and needed our tab. Our server, when we finally tracked him down, said that they were having issues at the front with printing up the bill. I guess they were training a new cashier, but it took over 15min to get our tab. They do have a loyalty club card that you can sign up for and it's free. When you spend $100, you get $10.00 off your next visit. Since this is the only real breakfast venue in this area, $100 is highly attainable in a short period of time. I decided to sign up. There are SO MANY good brunch places in Denver, but for some reason I decided to check out this new (to me) one on my recent visit. Perhaps not the best choice. We walked in slightly behind another group and the hostess decided (without checking) that we were with them and studiously ignored us standing in front of her before I interrupted with an "excuse me." Bad start. Despite an almost empty restaurant, we ended up being seated right next to the aforementioned large group of people and service suffered accordingly. The food was okay, although the chorizo in my breakfast burrito was almost nonexistent and the green chile could have been kicked up a couple notched. All in all, a pretty A-Ok experience. Last weekend my friend and I decided that it would become our Sunday post-workout breakfast/lunch location. I've been to this location a couple of times prior. It's your average, everyday breakfast/lunch spot. The suburban location makes good sense. There's a parking lot (which makes it a lot more accessible than the downtown Denver location). The staff is friendly enough. The service is standard. The food is consistent. What will make me and my workout partner come back is the rewards program. I just signed up this weekend. You spend $100 and you earn a $10 credit. I'll take the 10 percent off my meal. This weekend I had an omelette and subbed my potatoes for cottage cheese. After the workout I was craving protein. There isn't a build-your-own omelette on the menu, but I recreated the meal-with-choice-of-cheese omelette into a swiss and spinach one instead. It was good and hit the spot. I'd order it again. I came here with my boyfriend after a 15 hour drive from Illinois. The food is delicious and the hospitality is even better. The hostess, Carmen, I believe was so nice and started up a conversation with us right away. We informed her that we were out there to vacation but to also find a neighborhood to live in. Later on in the meal the manager, Patrick, came over and spoke with us as well. He even gave us phone numbers of realtors to help make the moving process a little easier. The Delectable Egg is one of those places I've always heard good things about, but hadn't gotten around to checking out. As far as first impressions go, it was crowded and in a strip mall. Crowds are always good for a breakfast joint, right? The decor was sterile, but not bland, and the place was filled with natural light. Got it? Ok. On to the stuff you're probably looking for... I'm a breakfast guy. I really digs me some eggs and hashbrowns and really don't get all too picky unless things get nasty. The Delectable Egg has one HELL of a selection for the breakfast people of the world and basically met my less than demanding expectations. I ordered the "Orange County," which was a veggie benedict in omelette form. Service was quick and the order was accurate. The omelette was light and fluffy, the tomato was fresh, and the bed of cubed potato hash browns was well seasoned and quite tasty. On the negative side, it wasn't exactly hot (which is surprising, considering how quick it was served up) and the avocado was bruised. The coffee was decent and the individual pot that came along with it was great. My girlfriend ordered diet coke and it, too, came with an individual carafe. Little stuff like that always wins me over. Are you curious about the little stuff that DOESN'T win me over? A tiny black hair on my plate, discovered near the end of my meal, never wins me over. :-/ Oh, well. It wasn't a hair net issue - just one of those things that happens when humans and food meet.
