Mismatched chairs, harsh fluorescence lighting and eating amongst the storage. You get to sit at counter or tables and watch your food being prepared and the dishes being washed. Both guys are very nice..but NOT brothers! morning If you want to get a taste to Korean. Ok, they use gochujang (I call this Korean spicy ketchup. ) I ordered bibimbop as was recommended by the cook. My fried egg was over cooked as I think requesting a runny egg was lost in translation and he gave me a fried YOLK egg. Cooked all the way. The ban Chan mixture of different Korean veggies was just okay. I miss a good ole fermented or spicy versions of kimchee. Also, I thought the rice became too mushy and some bits of the thinly slice beef was too tough or inedible. I did decide to get the chicken wings and was recommended the dakganjeong ( Korean sweet chili spices) wings. (I asked for extra chili powder on side to make more spicy...given on request). I did like the chicken wings. Nice crispy crust. Just not spicy enough with using gochujang they are serving. Would I stop by again... maybe for the wings.

Don't judge a book by its cover. This place might be a hole in the wall, but it is off the hook!…read moreThe restaurant is inside a Korean grocery store, so it's easy to miss. Not enough seating area, so you'd be lucky if you can get a table. My friends brought me here because they said it was good, so I decided to try it. My friend Marvin got the Mussel soup, and it was huge! I tried a little bit of it, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the Grilled Salmon Dosirak, and it was pretty good. I didn't eat the rice though, nor the little dessert that came with it. I only ate the Salmon, Soup, and Veggies and still filled me up! Very satisfying dinner.

I have been hitting here for a few months now, for coffee, freshly-made rolls and salad and the odd sweet thing! On A Platter is a firm favourite with school kids from the nearby schools, wanting bags of sweets - there is a line out on the door on Friday afternoons! Other times, it is busy with professionals, students (it is close to UCD on Carysfort Avenue), and construction workers from early hours from Frescati and Blackrock Village buying coffee, lunch, or essentials. There is outside seating for those who want to munch immediately, and a dog-friendly "K-9" parking station for your four-legged friend. Manager and staff are sharp, customer focussed, and ready to go the extra mile on the experience by sourcing things like vegan milk and gluten-free options too. On a Platter is a huge addition to the Blackrock area of South County Dublin, badly in need of great coffee, funky, fresh, progressive meals, modern caring styling and staff who care. And the sweets... well what a selection. What can I say - Go On the Batter at On a Platter! Recommended

Here's to saving loads of time and 'wear and tear' on the bod due to carting loads of groceries on…read morefoot... Tesco delivery service is worth the nominal service charge! Take your time browsing the online supermarket and then pick your delivery time. The delivery service charge fluctuates anywhere between 3 and 6 euro - not bad! And, your groceries can be delivered within a day and down to a two-hour window of time. Everything is at your fingertips - from exfoliating facial scrubs to a jar of jalapenos. You'll find stuff that can't be bought at your corner convenience store. Lose the shopping cart! Let your fingers do the walking and put your money where your mouth is ... until delivery time!

Tesco Online--Personal Experience:…read more Once you've registered, the online store is very easy to use. Products have clear (if occasionally optimistic) pictures and good info. Discounts/multibuys etc are marked. Product categories are well organized and the site is easy to navigate. There are a good range of delivery times and prices. Off peak times are a LOT cheaper. I've found deliveries to be on time about 7 out of 10 times. What is annoying is that a delivery can be up to an hour late without any contact from the store (in fact, if you check the order number on the website, it reads 'delivered' even though it hasn't been). That said, if you call their helpline about a late order, they are very good about getting in touch with the driver and letting you know what happened/how long it will be. If they're out of a product, they'll substitute another (you get the cheaper price if the substituted item was more expensive). Mostly, the substitutions are spot on, but you can opt for 'no substitutions' on an item if you are leery (I do this on pet food as they tend to get substitutions wrong...no my kitten does not think that 'adult tuna' food is as good as 'baby cat chicken'...and in all fairness, Tesco aren't psychic so 'no substitutions' it is). The delivery drivers are an odd bunch. They're all really helpful if you have questions and very good about carrying deliveries indoors etc. Some are sociable, say 'hello', smile and have a quick chat. Others grunt once and get the job over with. Occasionally one stares at you with a look that says "I hate you for buying bulk cat litter but I'm not allowed to say it". I prefer the friendly ones, it's a little weird to have someone in your home who doesn't even say hello, just marches in the door and past you. Overall, it's an excellent service. I used it once and was sold. Now I use it every couple of weeks for bulky/heavy items or a big shop. Definitely worth a try.
