Jaipur is a real treat if you are in search of a really good Indian. The flavours are subtle and fragrant, and the cooking is rich without being laden with cooking oil, a real rarity amongst Indian restaurants in Dublin. There are all the usual favourites on offer like chicken Tikka Masala and Rogan Josh, but there's also an eclectic selection of more unusual offerings which are definitely worth a try, like Chettinad Murgh, a chicken dish with a rich and spicy sauce, flavoured with black pepper, cloves, cinnamon and tamarind. The Goan Seafood Curry is pretty special too - black tiger prawns, Atlantic crab claws & mussels simmered in a smooth coconut & chili masala paste. Mmmmmm... Prices aint cheap though, but the early bird represents good value for €21.75 before 7.30 pm.

Tasting platter starter. Lamb sheesh kebab, superb chicken & delicious potato cake accompanied by perfectly paired sauces.

I've been to Kathmandu Nepalese Restaurant a number of times in the past and was glad to read…read morerecently that they had reopened their doors after been closed for a number of weeks. Myself the wife, sister-in-law and a close friend headed down for a meal last Friday night. As always the reception we received was warm and very welcoming, the centrally located fire was lit and there was nice traditional Nepalese music playing quietly in the background. After been shown to our table we chose a lovely bottle of lebanese wine and we were served a large basket of popidoms with a selection of three dips. Starters arrived promptly, I chose the tandoori prawns and my wife chose the always good Mo,Mo's. For mains I went for the Sherpa Chili Karakura (chicken) These were to die for, utterly delicious and the herbs and spices so fresh, I am just amazed that a piece of chicken could taste so good. We didn't have room for deserts, but after asking for the bill the owner came down to our table with complimentary glasses of wine for each of us. As I had 'liked' the Kathmandu Facebook page we received 35% discount off the bill total, (offer till the end of Nov 2012) the bill came to €97 for four which included the wine - at €27 the most expensive on the list. We actually felt embarrassed with such a low price for such lovely food so we all chipped in and left a nice tip for the restaurant staff. As we live locally and have eaten in pretty much all the local restaurants in the area Kathmandu in my opinion is the best eatery in the Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown area, which is high well deserved praise.

The service was great (as you'd expect at this level) and the food overall was beautifully done. I especially loved the garlic naan and malai kofta- fluffy, fragrant, and basically the kind of bread you wish every curry in your life could meet. The appetizer also hit the right notes. That said, for vegetarians, the options are quite limited. You'll find something, but don't expect a wide variety to pick from. Because of that, I'd call it more of a "special occasion" spot rather than somewhere I'd frequent often. Ratings: Food: 4/5 Service & Ambience: 4.5/5 Money's Worth: 3.5/5 Overall: 4/5 - A polished, memorable experience: perfect for a one-time treat if you're vegetarian.

An excellent Indian restaurant with good service and high quality ingredients. Two of my favorite…read moredishes were the starters. The duck rolls were excellent, a lot of duck, interesting and good sauce. The pork tasted more like a Chinese dish (I was fascinated to try pork in an (Indian restaurant) but it was done perfectly. Had a lamb in a cream curry as a main with the whole sea bass. The lamb had a nice, complex curry but the portion was a little on the small side. Sea bass was a very well prepared dish but be ready to deal with bones. The highlight for me was probably the best garlic naan I ever had, it was incredible. Definitely a very nice meal (though unlike other reviews, probably not what I would pick for my last meal).

He stood there and told my partner to go search the house for change to which we refused as we didn't have any change hence the two 50 euro notes. We ended up having to let him leave with €100 euro to go get us change in the shop. It's Disgraceful that the issue was made out to be our fault, we in fact took all the risk giving him 100 euro and letting him walk out without giving us change. Between the fact the driver chose to laugh at my partner at an attempt to embarrass him to the fact my (mild) curry was extremely spicy (I found 10 chillies) . I've ordered from Bombay in bray for years and will never order from Bombay again. The change was thrown at my boyfriend and the driver ran away when he finally returned. JOKE
