Decided to drop by because I haven't had any Korean food at all throughout my time in Ireland. It's tucked inside the asian grocery shop, but this place is delicious. 10/10 am coming back tomorrow. The prices are great and the portions are large. Quite authentic food and I really like their kimchi, just spicy enough and not too fresh or sour.

I had heard a lot of good things about brothers Dosirak, and was excited to finally make it in here after a cineworld date. You will have to walk through the shop first to get to the 'restaurant' part. It's super casual, with about 5 tables and some questionable music blaring from the speakers. Foodwise you can choose between around 8 authentic korean dishes, which come with miso soup and a few sides (scrambled tofu, coleslaw, kimchi) and a teeny tiny taster of dessert. For 8 euro it's incredible value!! There was so much food, that neither of us could finish it all (and we came hungry!) The staff were so friendly and they just introduced a loyalty card , after 7 dishes you get the 8th one free. I have to go more often so, to fill up my card! It's great for a quick bite and exceptional good food.

Salmon Terriaki- some of the best I have ever tasted!

Stumbled across this little gem on Capel street the other day and I have to say I'm delighted I took a punt on it. I was trying to sandwich in a quick dinner between work and dancing and needed it to be filling but not stodgy and walking past the super Asian store I noticed some people eating. When I checked it out there was a little restaurant built into the Asian supermarket! There are 3 or 4 things on the menu each day, all freshly prepared and I would expect seasonal. I had the salmon teriyaki and it was amazing. The salmon melted in my mouth with just a little crunch on the pan fried side and the sauce was light, a little sweet and perfectly salty. The side of brown rice and barley was perfect with it, and I normally avoid brown rice like the plague. I am drooling just remembering it. The seats were comfortable, the atmosphere welcoming, informal and surprisingly relaxing for the middle of a supermarket and I wish I could have stayed longer. Overall this might become a weekly haunt of mine.

A lot of friends have been raving about this little Korean restaurant located inside an Asian market in Capel Street that I decided to try it out with my other friends. I was quite packed when we got there but the staff made space to accommodate the 5 of us. The chef greeted us with his big hello. He said that there is only one item in their food and it changes every day though the price remains the same at €7.95. The chef said there would be a delay with our food since the rice was still cooking which we did not mind and I appreciated the fact that he let us know. He told us to help ourselves to their soup of the day which was vegetable soup. The meal comes with a main course and three side dishes. There were side dishes of salad, kimchi and lasagna. Our main meal was a steak burger with rice. There was also a tiny yet cute dessert served in a disposable shot glass. It was chocolate Guinness mouse. The food was fantastic. We were stuffed. They would definitely see me coming back again! Read my full review here: http://www.esjaeee.com/2016/05/brothers-dosirak-in-capel-st.html

I think I've found Dublin's happiest restaurant!! Brother's Dosirak is tucked away in the back of Super Asian Store on Capel Street. Despite passing by here every day I hadn't noticed it - Yelp pointed it out to me! (Thaaanks Yelp!) We wandered in today, a little unsure of how the ordering process works, etc. The chef pointed out a couple of seats for us and gave us a run through of the day's menu. There were three choices; Bibimbap, pork belly or chicken wings. We opted for the first two. You pay at the till -dinner is 7.95 & lunch is 6.95! Amazing! All the food is made right in front of you - which is a show in itself. The chef and the three other ladies working there are so friendly! Chatting away to everyone as the food is made. The food itself doesn't disappoint either. The bibimbap was delicious, so fresh & healthy (the good healthy, not the 'sad lettuce leaf' kinda healthy). The pork belly was served on a long wooden tray and came with rice, kimchi, courgette, salad & a teeny but very tasty dessert. Although Brother's Dosirak haven't been open long I definitely see it becoming a staple on Capel Street!

Korean food is definitely taking off in Dublin and Brother's Dosirak is a great little addition to it. Nestled behind Super Asia Foods, you'll be greeted VERY loudly in Korean upon entering the restaurant which can be overwhelming but you can't help but be tickled by their enthusiasm. The menu consists of the usual bibimbap and a special bento box every day. It was the Korean pork ribs on our day, with kimchi and egg roll sides with free miso soup. Everything was delicious but if I was to complain, everything was too tasty if it makes sense? I would have preferred a bit more balance in the flavours. At €7.95 for the main, it is very good value and I'll definitely return to try out the other specials. Just be sure to turn up before 8.30 pm to make their last orders as the whole place closes at 9!

This is my new favourite Korean restaurant in Dublin. It's a small place tucked in behind a shop on Capel Street and, while hard to find, is more then worth a stop. The food is all extremely well priced at a full main for around 8 euro but it's the service and taste that really sold me. I ordered Bulgogi, a favourite dish of mine that I've had in a few other Korean restaurants in Dublin and to my surprise it was the nicest going. The meal was nicely presented with the Bulgogi and rice in one dish, kimchi and sides in others. The whole serving comes with a small bite of cake on the side to finish off the meal. The staff were all very kind, welcoming us to the restaurant as we entered and ensuring everything was satisfactory as we eat and thanking us for eating as we left. The price, quality and homliness of Brother's Dosirak's has quickly made it one of my favourite spots in Dublin.

Samgyeopsal (pork belly) with rice, ssamjang (chilli and soybean sauce), tofu, kkakdugi (diced radish), salad, soup and a tiny tiramisu

This little restaurant tucked away in the chinese supermarket on Capel street offers a rotating menu with a different dosirak (lunchbox in korean, like bento) selection every day. The samgyeopsal (pork belly) is served with ssamjang (a thick chilli and soybean sauce - a quintessential korean flavour). The food is fresh, tasty, good value for money and served by a friendly staff who love joking and engaging in a bit of banter with the customers. If you want to know what food in Korea actually tastes like - this is the place to find out.

Brother's Dosirak is a very great place for a quick lunch! It is hidden behind an Asian food shop. It is affordable and the service is friendly. I ordered the bbq korean beef dosirak- beef, rice, ham, salad, & cole slaw. It was delicious and it was only 7.95 euro! Excellent price for the amount of food that you get. I had leftovers! Thank you.

Around Paddy's day, someone I follow posted pictures from Brother Dosirak and I saved the picture. I knew I had to try it, so we popped in on Saturday evening for a quick munch. Pleasantly surprised to see it tucked away inside an Asian shop on Capel St. The food was cheap! Two main courses and a drink for less than €20 and it was really GOOD! It's small, it's cosy, no pretence, nothing fancy just good inexpensive Korean food. Definitely going back.

Happy to find this special spot. Such a a nice change from all the pubs. An authentic Korean restaurant with typical dishes like bibimbap and seaweed soup. Very tasty and super friendly. ~

Was shocked they didn't have any soju or even Korean beer even thought the restaurant across the street did... The jjam bbong was nice and spicy. Good chunks of seafood. This place felt like every other Korean spot, as the space was welcoming and cozy. I think this restaurant was specifically catered towards those wanting kbbq, because their portions for their regular entrees weren't that great considering the prices and they don't give you much banchan. While overall this hit the spot for my need for Korean food in a foreign country for myself, I felt the combo of the high prices and non-kbbq entrees that seemed catered towards individuals was slightly off putting.

We were certainly off to a great start there :) I was conflicted on what to order and ended up getting way too much food for 1 person. I got the Dakgangjeong Bento Box ($16) - crispy chicken in a sticky and sweet sauce, and edamame, purple rice, and seaweed salad on the side AND a Bulgogi Futomaki Gimbap ($15) roll with sauteed beef, crab, radish, etc. There were SO many pieces in the Bulgogi roll that it had to be separated into 2 containers. A seriously massive portion for the price. For the $31 I spent, I could have easily fed 3 people. Great value for the price, top-notch ingredients, quick service, and great presentation. Would definitely recommend!

When we arrived we were greeted pretty quickly and brought to a table in the main dining room. We decided we wanted hot pot so we pressed the button and the server came out. We had a couple of questions about the menu (whether all of the broths were soy-based, I'm allergic to soy so this was important) and then ordered four hot pots. The server said it would be a bit because they had to clean off a table in the hot pot area so we waited. About ten minutes passed and another server told us we could go back to that area. We were brought to our table and told how the buffet works. All of the other unoccupied tables were still dirty and remained so until we left, so they didn't seem too pressed to clean up after people left. It was a bit odd. The food itself was alright. The meats in the raw buffet were labeled but none of the other ingredients were, so it was hard to know for sure what I was getting and whether it was free from soy or not. I feel fine now (a couple hours later) so I think it was safe, but only time will tell. They didn't keep the buffet super stocked up and we had to ask for some things to be restocked a couple of times. They said it was because they were busy but they weren't - there was only a handful of people there between both rooms. Overall this place was alright. It was my first hotpot experience so I don't have anything to compare it to, but my friends are big fans and they said it was alright but our local place in Oregon was better. There wasn't a whole lot of flavor in the broth so we had to add our own.
