    Tofu bibimbap
    Lava Y.

I love Korean food and have been to all the other popular places like Kimchi an Arisu in Dublin, and I must say I really liked Drunken Fish a lot better in terms of the atmosphere, and the food was not too bad either. I never knew or noticed this place until one of my friends told me about it, so it was quite embarressing to be living only 10 minutes away as it's not the easiest to spot but it's located right near Mayor Square Luas stop. Food: Me and my friend both ordered tofu bibimbap which was probably the biggest bibimbap I have ever had, but it was quite tasty. The portions were too big so I couldn't finish it, and it comes with miso soup and 4 sides as well (kimchi, rolled omelette, beansprouts and spinach). The food is very hearty and well made though, and the prices are really decent for the portion (€11-13). For variety, they had a lot on the menu along with plenty of vegetarian options. In terms of service, all the staff were very polite and efficient. There is a button on the table and the waitress comes right over whenever you press, which is something I wish all restaurants had. She also had the bill ready before we asked. The food was quick to arrive too (~15 mins) The atmosphere is very chill; the bar area is downstairs and the restaurant is upstairs, and I'd describe it as something like casual but cool. The main thing I liked was that it's not super noisy like some of the other Asian restaurants, and it feels a lot calmer yet not quiet. Overall, great food, massive portions, lovely staff and decent prices even for dinner. Food: 4/5 Value: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Efficiency: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5

Bibimbap and o-sam bulgogi for lunch

Hands down! The best Korean restaurant in Dublin. I have been to three Korean restaurants in Dublin so far, and this is the best one. (Except pancake, "Jeon") Clean, authentic, delicious, friendly, fast! It all suffices what I expect from the restaurants. My husband and I come here at least 1-2 times per week - the price is reasonable given that they don't charge additional side dish that some other Korean restaurants in Dublin do. If you go to Korea, side dishes are free and they come with a variety of types - I think Drunken Fish sticks to what it is supposed to be as a Korean restaurant. Only thing that I don't like from this restaurant is their pancakes, such as Kimchi jeon, and seafood jeon. Perhaps they have different recipes (I think they put too much eggs), but I prefer not adding eggs in making Jeon. This way Jeon (pancake) can become crispy and less soggy. Also usually Jeon comes in large. I have never seen this tiny Jeon in my life. They could work on Jeon for the best Korean food experience :) I am very glad that I found Drunken Fish. This place is by far the closest experience in Dublin I miss from Korea.

This was a great new find and a nice addition to the IFSC area. Went here for dinner on a really rainy night, so the place was quiet, though I'm told it often is in the evenings, funny because this place is huge! I'd imagine it's quite busy for lunchtime with all the businesses around. In any case, this place was great. Service was a little slow and inattentive, but the food makes up for it. I had one of the bibimbaps and it did not disappoint. Portion was a good size too, and it came with miso soup on the side which was a nice addition to the meal, especially on a gloomy day like today! My friends all enjoyed their meals too. Be warned though: if you're sensitive to spicy food, choose wisely! Some of their spicy dishes are indeed very spicy and not just the lightly spicy stuff you can get in some places. This is the real deal Korean food. Which is to say, delicious. They all serve two types of bottled Korean beer which was nice to try, or if you prefer, they have a solid variety of draught beers in the downstairs bar to choose from. All up, the food was delicious and the meal wasn't too pricy. It's a great option for lunch or dinner in the IFSC area.

Looks like I found a mandatory weekly stop! Started to work around the area recently and tried this place a couple of times now. The lunch menu portion is huge and you can put a good variety of stuff. However, my favorite are the noodles. The cook make them right there and gave me some hints about them.

This new Korean restaurant is an excellent addition to the restaurant scene around the IFSC and Mayor Square. First off, this is impressive because it's like three different establishments in one. It has: (1) A full service Korean restaurant upstairs (2) A lunchtime takeaway where you can order your own customized bimbimbap (3) A large pub taking up most of the downstairs area After a nice pint at the bar, we went upstairs where they had one of the more traditional Korean restaurant menus I've seen in Dublin. We went with the pork belly and the bulgogi & mushroom stew both of which were delicious. But although the mains were great, the star of the meal was the dozen or more small sides they provided with the meal: multiple types of kimchi, sweet bean curd, mini potato pancakes and an old favorite of mine, pickled lotus root. As for the service, everyone was very friendly and attentive. I also have to say that they did a great job redoing the place because you could easily forget you're in Dublin while you're enjoying your meal. I only saw the temporary menu because I visited in the first week before they had come back from the printers but I'm really looking forward to going back soon and seeing what other new foods they might be bringing to Dublin.

Fresh, delicious, substantial Korean bento box with heaps of kimchi and other healthy veggies with brown rice. Sure it's low GI and high in fibre and protein and all that bejazzle, you won't even feel guilty eating it. Now I was #hangry (post-gym mad metabolism) and I still could not finish the bowl but it kept very well so I finished it off at 4pm in the office to the envy of my colleagues. And the deal clincher - it is only €7.50. Now go get yourself some healthy Korean! (Bento, not a person)

Coming from Montréal, Canada, I must say the Korean flavours are different in each side of the Atlantic. Montreal's Korean food is more sweet, Ireland's is more spicy. That said, the Bulgogi I ordered was perfect. Not very spicy, not very sweet. The other dish my wife ordered, however, was too sweet to my taste. It's not an expensive restaurant (we had good food for two with soft drinks for 25 euros) , and I would disagree with comments saying the lunch dishes are enough for 2 person.

    delicious!

So i really enjoyed the food here but I was with two people with significant gluten and other allergy problems and it was very difficult for them to get accurate information on what was in the food from the people serving us. It was very frustrating and hampered our enjoyment of the meal itself which didn't take long and i really enjoyed. I would go back but not with anyone with any allergy difficulties! I must also mention the restaurant was a little chilly and we had to ask them to turn the heating up.

Came here for dinner. Service is horrendous. There are 3 waiters waiting on about 7-8 groups of tables. But they are still so inefficient. Going into the restaurant itself was rather complicated as you have to walk through the bar first then up the stairs to the restaurant. And even so, no one was there to show you the way. Upon sitting down, was offered no drinks or utensils was not placed at all. The food itself wasn't bad but nothing was good too. Rather mediocre. Some of the side dishes that came with the main was horrible though. My friends and I had to even spit it out. Overall, decent place with horrible service. Probably will only be back if I'm around the area. Will definitely not crave any food here.

    Vegetarian Sundubu + Osam bulgogi

I gave 4 stars this time because this is the first time ever that I got my food within 20 minutes. I tried most of their menu and 'SunDuBu jjigea'- spicy silky tofu soup is the best. My partner ordered 'Osam bulgogi'- bulgogi with squid but there were only two pieces of squid. Tasted good tho. I like 4 small side dishes. It's a little pricier than other Korean food served restaurants but with 4 banchans plus big portion meals. It's pretty good. However, for my past 10 plus visits, I had to wait for ages to have my meals and even to get a drink..

The ban Chan mixture of different Korean veggies was just okay. I miss a good ole fermented or spicy versions of kimchee. Also, I thought the rice became too mushy and some bits of the thinly slice beef was too tough or inedible. I did decide to get the chicken wings and was recommended the dakganjeong ( Korean sweet chili spices) wings. (I asked for extra chili powder on side to make more spicy...given on request). I did like the chicken wings. Nice crispy crust. Just not spicy enough with using gochujang they are serving. Would I stop by again... maybe for the wings.

(To add we could see other customers receiving incorrect orders too) My main (ginger and scallion prawns) was maybe a 6/10 but very watery and there were chunks of unpeeled ginger in the dish which put me off slightly.
