Our CT lobster rolls were stuffed with huge fresh pieces of lobster and lightly drizzled with butter. The roll was grilled and buttered. The fries were well seasoned with Old Bay and tasted great. The key lime pie was also delicious. No complaints here and can't wait to go back and try some other things. Also, service was friendly and food came out quickly.

Delicious!!! Great spot in the heart of College Park. Large space inside and ample seating outside. Walk up counter to order. Everything is made to order and will take a little time so please have patience We've been a few times and haven't been disappointed. The linguine with clams is fantastic with a good mix of clams in it. The grouper sandwich was delicious and the black shrimp Caesar was also tasty!!! They even have drinks which was nice to have a glass of wine while we waited for our food. Check them out!! You won't be disappointed.

5 stars for excellent service!!! The restaurant is nice and clean and they are so helpful here! Lisa was very sweet and helped me choose from all of her most popular items! I took one star off because the fish couldn't be blackened and needed more sauce on it. The buffalo shrimp was so poppable and addictive and the hush puppies, delicious! They kept coming out to clean up but I wish I had asked for a cap for my tea so I could take it to go! I can't wait to come back and try more!

Had my eye on The Current Seafood Counter for a little while now and finally got the chance to try them out with my husband on an impromptu whim for an 8pm dinner on a Saturday evening. Despite the later time frame I was actually surprised at how easy it was to find parking as that area of Edgewater is always Iacking but then again I'm not usually in that area on a Saturday evening either. The restaurant does mention extra parking in the rear of the building as well. When walking up, it was a nice evening so we already knew we wanted to sit outside at one of the picnic tables. They have QR codes on the tables and you can order from the table, however we chose to order inside and I was glad I did because the app said the Connecticut lobster roll was sold out but when I ordered inside they told me I got the last one. We ordered and paid and then they brought the food out to us. Service was great and they also cleaned up at the end when we attempted to clear our tray and area. The lobster roll was filled with chunks of lobster, warm with lots of butter and a lemon just the way I like it! The French fries were seasoned to perfection, not too much or too little. My husband devoured the shrimp and Mac n cheese. The one thing we split was the hush puppies and let me tell you they were perfect, hot, crunchy outside, soft in the middle with a touch of sweetness and the sauce on the side a touch of spice for balance. Truly one of the best we've ever had. Looking forward to trying so many of their other dishes in the future. Love having this new addition for seafood to our restaurant list!

This gem of a place is one you might miss if you drive to quick since it is among a row of restaurants and no real dedicated parking lot. Parking is available behind the restaurants and also street parking. There is an outside seating area upon entering the restaurant and can order at the counter or grab a table and order from there. Ordered from the Saute section - 1 DZ Middleneck Clams, Sides- Parmesan Garlic Fries and Scales - Fried Clam Strips. Everything was delish!! The Clams were steamed in a Garlic Wine Butter Sauce and served with a piece of toast The Fried Clams were pefectly fried and not greasy at all. The Clam strip basket does not come with any sides but served with fresh not packaged tartar sauce and a lemon wedge. The Parmesan Garlic Fries had the ideal amount of garlic and parmensan. All items served Hot, would definitely return. Sadly Pepsi products are present but great Coastal Cocktail special $7 everyday

    Catfish sold as grouper.

I paid $17 for a fried grouper sandwich. When the food came out, the fish was not grouper. It looked and tasted exactly like catfish. Upon addressing the possible confusion in the kitchen, the staff informed me "we use a smaller grouper fillets". It's a lie. Sadly, the concept is excellent and location is great. Lying to customers like this, charging shamelessly is unacceptable.

5 stars for a great meal, friendly service in a casual spot. We came for my sons birthday because he wanted a lobster roll. We all got something different so it was nice to look at a variety of things. The lobster roll was really good. My son wished he had two! My sons fiancé and son #2 had the fried shrimp roll. There was plenty of crispy shrimp. My husband got both fried shrimp and clam strips. It was a bit more than a medium amount of larger size strips. I got the fish and chips. Fish was lightly breaded and not greasy. Regular fries came with the meals and were not heavily seasoned with Old Bay. The orders of hush puppies come with 6 a piece. They are crispy, lightly breaded and has a sweet essence. It was a great 1st visit!!

The soft shelled crab sandwich was amazing! It's was a great place to sit outside with the dog and watch people walk by. The service was great. Our server was kind enough to bring a water bowl for the dog without us asking. He talked us through the menu and was sociable.

Found this place on Google! We were in search of a great seafood restaurant and this place did not disappoint. We were greeted by the owner immediately and he made some awesome recommendations. As first timers, we went with his recommendations. The friend grouper sandwich, 1/2 pound of fried shrimp for the kiddo , and the Sunday Special Crab Cakes with succotash. All dishes were AMAZING! The fried grouper was light and flaky, the shrimp were lightly breaded and tenders d the crab cakes were perfect! The most surprising star of the show was the succotash. Normally, I don't like this side dish, but this was the best succotash I've ever tasted. We'll will definitely return to try the lobster roll, which was sold out and of course the grouper sandwich and crab cakes again!!

Awesome local spot serving up some fresh seafood made to order in College Park. Also a happy sponsor of a local podcast team up of Tom and Dan. Our service today was great and super friendly. We came for a late lunch and both the indoor and outdoor seating were quiet for a Sunday lunch. Filled with blue and white umbrellas on the ceiling and multiple tvs for music, trivia, or background underwater scenes. We loved our meals today of the fried chicken sandwich made with huge breaded fried tenders a top crispy shoe string fries was tender and lightly breaded. We did order a side of their garlic fries that was delicious with lots of fresh minced garlic tossed in. I loved my light and flavorful shrimp scampi served with linguine. This was our second time coming here and are so happy we did today.

Sweet Corn Hushpuppies & The Shrimp Burger with Old Bay Fries

My partner and I came here for lunch on a Saturday. We sat inside and ordered from the QR code on the table. We would've preferred a physical menu to browse instead as it's a lot of clicking and going back and forth on Toast Tab. Once you know what you want, it's really easy to order though. My partner ordered the Shrimp Scampi and I ordered the Shrimp Burger. We also shared a side of Sweet Corn Hushpuppies. The scampi was delicious! The noodles were cooked perfectly, LOTS of shrimp, and the sauce was so well-balanced. Our only complaint was the serving size was a little small for a meal portion. If they a charged a little more and served a little more, I think the portion would be more on par with the burger I ordered. There is an option to double the pasta for an extra $3, so maybe we'll do that next time. The Shrimp Burger was interesting in a good way! The patty reminded me of a conch fritter, but less chewy due to the lack of conch. The texture was nice and crispy! I enjoyed the diced peppers mixed into the patty. The teriyaki slaw added a subtle sweet and savory sauce to the burger. The grilled pineapple didn't seem like it added much to the burger, but it was fine. I probably could've done without it. My burger came with Old Bay fries. I thought they were ok. I would've preferred plain fries with that burger, but I could see those fries being really good with their fried seafood baskets. I felt like the Old Bay seasoning kind of clashed with the flavor profile of the burger, which was more sweet and savory. The Sweet Corn Hushpuppies were tasty! They came with a sriracha aioli that wasn't too spicy. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I enjoyed the corn kernels in the mix. The service was good. It was a little bit of a wait for the food, but not excessive and it was worth it! An employee brought our drinks to the table once we placed our order. She came back to refill them before our food arrived. Once it arrived, she checked on us again to make sure everything was good. The ambiance is casual. The chairs are terribly uncomfortable though. Lol Their outdoor seating looks more comfortable, but it was too hot to eat outside for us. Overall, we really enjoyed The Current. Good seafood! We can't wait to come back and try other menu items.

    Cool inside vibe
    Allison R.

I really liked both the food and the whole vibe of this place, so I really hope it stays in business, because there are not many places to find good, fresh seafood. It's an order-at-the-counter type, but they do bring your food to you and come by quite often to clean up and refill drinks if needed. Staff were all so friendly. There is a great selection of all different types of seafood and all different styles of cooking. They have a great selection of craft beers and wine too. I ordered the New England lobster roll with coleslaw instead of fries (they let you get any side to go with it, no upcharge). My husband got the blackened mahi sandwich with Old Bay seasoned fries. My lobster roll was perfection. Perfectly buttered toasted bun, huge chunks of fresh lobster, and just the right amount of mayo to give substance but not smother it and loose the lobster flavor. It was just a delicious bite. I only wish it were a little bigger. The coleslaw was yummy, and I loved the addition of the kale, but it was just a little too heavy on the dressing. Next time I would get the fries because that Old Bay seasoning on them was so good! I can't attest to the flavor of the blackened mahi sandwich, but my husband thoroughly enjoyed it and it looked amazing. It was pretty big too. Might have to try that next time. While lunch is a bit pricy, it's worth it for fresh seafood!

Updating this review from about seven years ago. I came to Reel Fish a while ago, and it was a…read moretruly awful experience. The skimpy amount of seafood I got was not good, not cooked well, or served with undercooked potatoes. It shook me. Especially for a Winter Park restaurant. After my five year statute of limitations passed on repeating restaurants, I looked for the perfect opportunity to come back and try again. I found that opportunity recently with a few friends for brunch. Their brunch menu looked amazing, so we made our reservation and came on by. Ambiance is actually really nice. Right off one of the main WP roads, gigantic windows look out upon the street as passersby roam from shop to shop. Inside looks like an ocean-side sea shack, but an upper middle class one. Very nice little ocean-themed chotchkies adorn the walls, very cozy. Service was also great. Very nice server, very prompt food delivery, and they gave complimentary bread with a delightful butter. I always adore free bread. We started off sharing the Seafood Fritters (Four savory puppies, stuffed with lobster, shrimp, scallops, clams, grouper, onions, corn, poblano peppers, served with a zesty tartar sauce). If all five of those seafoods really were in there, there must have been only a few molecules each, but there was undoubtedly flavors from most of that list, and they were accentuated with the poblano. Topped with that zesty tartar, and this was an A+ app. I had the Lobster Benedict Royale (Chunks of Maine lobster on fried green tomatoes & house-baked buttermilk biscuits, topped with poached eggs & Hollandaise, sprinkled with paprika & chopped green onions). This was indulgent. Pure luxury. A warm biscuit with a good flakiness, that fried green tomato with the perfect thickness and thin, delicate coating, and those perfectly cooked jumbo chunks of lobster on top, all covered in an unctuous Hollandaise. Exactly as it sounds, as advertised, the perfect seafood brunch item. I also got to try the Shrimp Frittata (Wild-caught Florida shrimp, fresh eggs, spinach, Campari tomatoes, goat cheese, caramelized onions, baked in a cast-iron skillet, with wheat toast, butter & a little mixed green salad). This was a fun dish. Good shrimps, well-cooked eggs, a nice tang from that goat, and of course a nice crunchy toast to help make it even more interesting. I didn't like that random salad on the side. Just get bigger cast irons and make the frittata bigger. Overall, what a redemption. I'm not sure what was wrong back in the day, but this is a five star place now that I will happily return to when it's time.

Not only did they seamlessly handle our larger group with ease but they offered excellent service paired with amazing food and drinks all delivered in a timely fashion. Be reminded that the tip is already included with large groups. Talay is a Thai cuisine restaurant and the gorgeous interior matches the elevated menu. I was immediately in awe of the gorgeous interior design featuring wooden accents and furniture, neutral color tones and soft lighting. I felt like I was in Thailand at a resort on the beach. For drinks every single person had something visually pleasing and equally delicious. My drink was the Gimme Guava which is Vodka, plum syrup, guava and lime. It's a bit pricier for the quantity but worth it for the quality and presentation. For food they do have a seafood forward Thai menu but I stuck to a classic and got the Keaw Wan Gai which is white meat chicken in green curry, bamboo shoots, bell peppers, Thai basil, coconut milk. It was delicious and the portion was very fair sized in my opinion. Every single dish on our table was beautiful and each person LOVED their dish. I think it's really great that my vegan friend had delicious options as well. He ordered the Por Pia Tod which was spring rolls and they were delicious. My girlfriend said that the steak was cooked perfectly medium as they asked. The steak sauce paired really well, and they had enough for leftovers, and enjoyed it even more the day after. The Mac & cheese was alright, we just wish there had been more of a crunch to the cheese. However, we both really liked the shape of the pasta as we don't really see those as often. The cocktail sauce was delicious and had a nice kick to it, and definitely squeeze the lemon that comes with it on the shrimp. However, I was surprised that the bar bites and appetizers were still fairly expensive, so the food specials didn't feel like much of a bargain. We started with the coconut shrimp, the short rib tacos, and the bread service, and all three were fantastic. The coconut shrimp was crispy and flavorful, the short rib tacos were packed with flavor, and the bread service was the perfect way to start the meal. Everything was off to such a great start that we had high expectations for our entrée. Unfortunately, the chicken-fried steak (which is actually made with beef despite the confusing name) was a huge disappointment. The meat was incredibly tough, to the point that it was difficult to chew, while the breading ended up being the most flavorful part of the dish. The broccoli tasted like plain steamed broccoli without any seasoning, and the mashed potatoes were just average and didn't add much to the plate. The entrée was disappointing enough that we asked for it to be taken back and chose not to have it remade. What made the experience more frustrating was how it was handled. Neither the owner nor a manager came by to ask what went wrong or gather any feedback. We were also offered dessert in a way that made it sound complimentary, but it ended up being added to our bill, which was confusing. One other thing that stood out was seeing the owner speak rather sharply to an employee over a white towel hanging from his pocket. It may have been a minor issue, but it could have been addressed more privately. On the other hand, every other staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and happy to answer questions or offer recommendations. The restaurant itself has a beautiful atmosphere and is definitely a nice spot for a date night. I can absolutely recommend stopping by for drinks and appetizers, especially during happy hour. Unfortunately, the entrée and the way the situation was handled kept the experience from living up to the expectations set by such a strong start. While I'm glad we gave it a try, I don't see myself returning.

The Tap Room at Dubsdread is great!!…read more Fun ambiance with nice golf course views. However if you're sitting at the bar the view is behind you . Great selection, good amount of TVs and friendly crowd. We were watching the FIFA game. Got d wine selection and a new bottle we haven't tried called Juggernut! Yup we had it. Good food- we tried the crab and cheese dip- which almost tasted like lobster bisque in a dip. Very tasty!! Accompanied by toast points. And we even had enough of the for the amount of dip. The steak flatbread was fantastic. Very thing almost lavash like and nicely spot with some blue cheese, steak and a drizzle of balsamic. Delish! When we left on Sunday afternoon the place was packed!! You could see it's the Sunday place for dinner! Check it out
