Oh I curse the day I tried sea food boil! Cause It's just so good!. I have gone to all of the sea food boils around UCF area and I believe Humgry Crab reigns supreme. I have gone about 6 times to Hungry Crab and here is my review: Service: 10/10. The max wait time when full was about 10mins. Once seated the waiters are fast and friendly and help you our if you have never done a sea food boil. Food: 8/10. I have gotten the Dungeons Crab, the Snow crab, the Shrimp and the Crawfish. My go to is the every day special 1 lbs of Snow crab and half lbs of shrimp for about 36$. I always get the hungry crab sauce. The food is delicious. My only reason why I dont give it a 10/10 is because sometimes the shrimp and crab is iver cooked. Which makes it harder to peel/crack their shell and pull. Overall, i believe its it worth going. Hungry Crab is a casual spot offering delicious plates. First time visit for me, as I stopped by with family for dinner. They mentioned this place a few times, so I figured, why not try it. Our server was super friendly and attentive. Our drinks and meals arrived promptly. I went with the half pound combo as it was plenty of food for one. Their cocktails were on point too! My husband and I love the Hungry Crab. We had not been in a while so, last night we decided to order and pick it up. I placed an online order. It was easy and simple, but I never received a confirmation email back. My husband decided to call and ended up placing the order over the phone. I was really impressed with Hungry Crab. I was in the mood for fried fish, and I was going to a movie nearby, so I figured I'd give it a try. I am so glad I did! I went with the fried snapper basket. Four pieces and fries for $14. Not a bad deal. The fish was delicious! Full of flavor and seasoning (my mouth is watering just thinking back on it). The oysters weren't bad but the red snapper was AWFUL , as was the coleslaw (inedible ) . We took one bite of each and left the entire platter there . I came to the Hungry Crab in honor of Mardi Gras. Growing up on the Gulf Coast, I always did a huge boil for Mardi Gras, but since I came to Orlando, I couldn't find a place within the first few years, and then gave up. Well, I try and better myself every year, and this year I said no more! I was going to find a place for my hot, spicy seafood. I did some research, and decided to give this relatively new Hungry Crab location a try. Well thank goodness that I did. This place was incredible. The inside was very interesting, because it's nestled in the skeleton of an old Chinese buffet, but that left plenty of room for huge pirate ships and giant statues of Johnny Depp. Very cool space inside. Service was great. The mix 'n' match nature of the menu had us asking a lot of questions, but our server helped us navigate our way to the correct answer. That, and they kept the refills of excellent sweet tea coming the whole time. As for the food, oh man, it was very good. I forgot exactly what the menu item we ordered was called, but it was a combo meant for two people. It was moderately spicy boiled crab legs, shrimp, crawfish, clams, and mussels, along with some corn and potatoes as accoutrements. The seafood was all cooked pretty good. I want to go out of my way to say that almost all the boiled seafood I have had in Orlando, cough or Melbourne cough, ever has been severely overcooked. If you're an offending seafood owner and are reading this, please call up Hungry Crab and figure out what they're doing differently than you. Anyway, it was cooked good, it was seasoned good, and there was just the perfect amount of spicy, garlicky butter at the bottom of the bucket for you to sop up with the corn, the potatoes, whatever you want. Pros: The ambiance is a lot of fun! It's semi-fish tank vibe provides a lot of fun things to look around at, including a giant Jack Sparrow! Service was nice. Patrons should be asked if they've eaten there before as the menu needs to be explained. I wasn't expecting my food to be served whole (in the shell with eyes) in a "steam-in", blown-up plastic bag. It was my first time there & felt self conscious. It was super difficult to eat, messy & just not good. Not the food. Not the experience. Had I been informed about my selection, I absolutely would've either chosen something else or opted not to eat. The service was adequate & the ambiance was very quiet. I will say that the drinks were pretty nice and the service was excellent as well as we were checked on several times throughout the night. I want to eat with my son. It was a light rainy day when we were done we paid the bill. The total is $84.11. The man explained that because it was raining he was having issues with his register and that it only charged my card $78.99. I told him that was fine if he wanted to swipe it for the additional five the money was there had it in holding my wanting to swipe it again for the full total amount. I showed him my bank account and showed him that it was taken out. He was arguing with me. Saying it just says pre-authorized and then I'm gonna get my money back I said sir this is how it normally goes. If you buy a soda it'll say on your card it's pre-authorized. He went back-and-forth with me a few times finally, I took my card back, not realizing that he already swiped my card again. told the waitress he's taking the five dollars and change that I owe out and the rest is for tip. I thought the situation was done I went to pick up my other son from school so then get another charge for $50 after I left and nobody would answer the phone so I called the police and met them back at the restaurant and told him how he stole from me called my bank so the officer could hear that both transactions were done at different times yet nothing could be done all the manager said it was for me to dispute the charges, and the cop said he couldn't arrest him for theft that he told the manager the way he's doing his practices at that location is not good. You can't just go charging people twice. The manager even admitted that he charges people twice cause his machine is messed up and tells them that if it does go. through to come back and he'll refund, but if I was to eat and run out on my I would get The manager literally did a reverse dine and dash and was able to get away with even though he admitted he does this often if you're gonna go to this take cash cause he's gonna steal from you read more

DO NOT EAT HERE AND PAY CASH. THEY STEAL YOUR CHANGE! The server intentionally did not give me back any lose change. I questioned the female (definitely a foreigner & had a foreign accent... possibly Asian) stated they do NOT give out change to customers. They always round up or down to the nearest dollar. I let her know it is illegal to intentionally give the customer less money than they are owed & that I will be reporting it. I advised her of legal ramifications, and all of a sudden, she wanted to give me my change. I will be notifying multiple news agencies about this. I was going to leave a $10 tip until I saw that she didn't give me the loose change that I was legally due to get. She didn't even tell me that she shorted me on my money back. That's POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! So, instead of getting a $10 tip, I only gave her a $4 tip (my bill was about $25 subtotal). I almost didn't leave a tip since they stole my money, but I decided that she did provide me a service, so I should give her something, but not nearly what I was going to give her. Also, the server accidentally knocked over my friends drink of soda and did NOT apologize that it spilled onto BOTH of us. She simply moved us to a different table. Now, on a good note, the shrimp today was seasoned pretty well, tasted good, and was the perfect temperature. I liked it. Too bad they just lost my business because they intentionally stole my few cents. I have been going here regularly for a while, but not anymore. Oh, lastly, we got there about 12:10 today and were the first customers there today. The entire time we were there, they were not very busy at all. And until one specific group of customers arrived, it was pretty quiet. The ambiance was nice. The decorations the theme was 100% on target for being a seafood restaurant. The women's restroom was clean. The water to wash your hands was cold. No hot water at all! I will say that every time I have been to this restaurant, it has ALWAYS been clean! It's probably one of the cleanest restaurants I've been in. As far as being a clean restaurant, I'd give them 5 stars. Overall, they only get 2 stars because they stole my money! Went to eat a seafood boil with my daughters and hungry crab didn't disappoint! Had the shrimp, crab, lobster combo and it was delicious! Right amount of kick and definitely deep into flavortown Decor is a bit cheesy and a bit clumsy... Hungry Crab was a pleasant surprise. I'll be honest, when we first sat down I wanted to get up and leave because the ambience is TACKY. Like something out of an 80s National Lampoons film sort of tacky. They even have a completely pointless robot that takes longer to program than it does to bring you to your seat. It did not bring us food.. perhaps that has changed? Anyway, once I got over my snobbiness (fear not, my hubby made sure I knew how much of a snot I was being), my nostrils makes sure I knew what was really up. The drinks are wonderfully cheap but small and on the sweet side. However, the mass of steaming and exceptionally seasoned seafood you get in your boil is really something not to miss. Place is spacious and has fun decor! Came in on a Tuesday with my family for blue crab. When it was time to put in our order, we were all disappointed to only then be informed that they didn't have any (refer to happy hour menu-- considering they even have an "all day blue crab special", this would've been a kind heads up early on lol) Our raw oysters to share arrived oddly positioned, so the natural juice from the oysters were basically nonexistent. The oysters had no taste to them (our server said they're from Texas Gulf) aside from "fresh" and only the topping/s you put on it. They did add a generous amount of lemons without us asking, which I also used for my main dish later on. I had 1 pound of snow crab (which is 2 clusters) boil with garlic butter and mild. The snow crab was meaty and the sauce was delicious-- pretty much what you would expect from a seafood boil.
