I don't know if you believe in casting a spell or not, but I DO!!. Speaking from my own experience. Have been to a place like this one few years back in Santa Monica City by the beach/pier and whatever that lady said was nothing but the truth. On the 16th of this month, after I had Taco Bell, I have noticed this quaint, lovely, somewhat gothic, clean place and wanted to go in and see if they could be some sort of help to me. I have been feeling uncomfortable for the past year and a half. Wanted to know if someone has done a spell on me or not; and if they could remove the spell? Sure enough when it was my turn to sit on that chair, the young lady, (can't remember her name), said yes, 2 of your family members has done a spell on you, but was not able to tell me who they were. Not even their gender. I was shocked and got choked up. She relaxed me by giving me cup of water. This is a very unique store/shop with a lot of things to offer: jewelry, Tarot cards, scented and non scented candles, herbs of different kinds, incense blends, charm begs, essential oils, different colors, sizes and types of beautiful crystal rocks/balls. I was blown away by the selection of all of their items. Everything had it's own valuable price and looked clean, nice and new. They have street parking, woman owned, and didn't see a bathroom. I was also told that I should come at least 3 to 5 more times so they can work on me. I will definitely take action and go back.They accept most credit cards and cash. Didn't buy anything but was worth giving this shop a try..you can either make an appointment or simply walk in... I went in there looking for new crystals. I needed a good array since I no longer had the bag I was carrying around for years. I love the location. Everything on Magnolia is great. I love walking those few blocks. Parking is easy usually. But the day I went I walked in and wasn't greeted once. I was going to ask for help, but in the 20-30 minutes I was in there, the person behind the counter was chatting with a friend about various things the whole time. I wandered the whole place and didn't get acknowledged at all. Even when the friend left. It was odd, especially in a place like that. Every other spiritual and witchy place in the area I'm always helped out. I ended up getting a couple crystals. I wanted to get more by the vibe just wasn't it. They had a ton of stuff to choose from. Wide array of all things - crystals, books, cards, candles, spell magic, etc. I also got a mojo bag. Yesterday I went to The Crooked Path to attend the Goth Yoga class. I have never been to the shop and I loved entering because it smelled so good and the energy was so bright. The shop is full of beautiful crystals and candles and jewelry. Goth yoga is held in the back room on Tuesdays and Thursdays and they have two sessions on each day one at 630pm and one at 8pm. I was invited by a friend who actually didn't show up so that was a bummer, but I still had fun. The room is dark and on the big screen is the large screen with the Goth Yoga logo which is what provides most of the class light. The instructor is sweet and guides you slowly through various Yoga poses. I really enjoyed it and I'm sore today in muscles that I forgot I had so the Yoga definitely activated so many muscles. They provide Yoga blocks and yoga rope but I brought my own to use. If you have a free evening go check out The Crooked path and some Goth Yoga! read more

My heart holds a very special place for Crooked Path, they are here for all levels of witches and not just witches but for all. They have angelic statues, goddess statues and all the herbs you need, I love having this community and everyone should stop by and visit. Very queer friendly, the staff is so helpful and wonderful as well as educational. You'll also love the snake (sorry I'm bad with names ) The crystal collection is my favorite it's like I can't leave without one they beg for a home and I love the energy here. I've always felt a spiritual connection with nature and the power of manifestation. Make a wish at 11:11... Knock on wood to ward off bad luck... I recently got into spell casting as a fun way to physicalize my intentions, especially good luck. Honestly, I don't see the difference between that and throwing salt over your left shoulder. The Crooked Path has a great selection of candles, oils, herbs, and spells. I bought a few $8 mini spell to bring in prosperity and money. There were also some nice smelling herbs to place around the house for intention setting. And there is a small book area nook with journals, tarot cards, and etc. The cashier was really nice and helped me out a lot. There was also plenty of easy street parking. She has changed my life in so many ways.. she actually set me up with my now partner who I couldn't see myself without. She literally introduced me to the love of my life. i read a number of the 1-star reviews and was truly disappointed. however, they all seem to be related to a male owner, whom i have never seen, much less dealt with. i've been there 3 times in the last couple of months and been helped by a young girl and a woman, both of them, warm, helpful, attentive, kind, especially the woman who is unbelievably knowledgeable about all aspects and so generous with it! i've been to a couple of other local shops and found the people a bit cool but cordial, limited merchandise, willing to help - to a degree. the crooked path is decidedly my go-to, and i am grateful for their presence. thank you! read more

I drove sooo far for this place only to find that the staff is soooo condescending and just straight up talked shit about customers. Within the first few minutes of me and my friend being inside I overheard the owner? Say that as long as we buy something then they didn't care. When I asked a question they were condescending and rude. I mean just the absolute shittiest customer service I've ever had to deal with. They were all friendly towards other customers except for us and we were the only Latinos there. OK. Worst experience at an apothecary I've ever had. I won't ever return here, I honestly wish I could return my items to get my money back I feel like no amount of cleansing will remove the nasty energy I got from this shop. I found out about this place through TikTok so I thought I would check it out, when I first went in I didn't like the stagnant feeling I had it wasn't very welcoming or happy feeling. The cashier didn't seem very knowledgeable about the crystals they carry.. I was in there for awhile I bought a beautiful handmade necklace from a artist they carry.. I also had a reading with Jessica it was amazing and spit on didn't feel fake at all she was great I had a great conversation with a guy who works there not sure if he was the owner or not, but he was the nicest person very genuine. The store is rather large and has a very organized layout. The shop also offers classes and events to mark the sabbaths. If you're devoted or curious about Hekate this IS the place for you. I drive all of the way from Chatsworth or sometime Playa Del Rey. This place has everything I need and more. The owners are great and very helpful when I am trying to find the right spell for my intents and it they do not have a pre-made kit for my purpose. They have been very helpful with taking the time to help me put together the right combination of candles, burn sticks, oils, cone burners, stones and other items to make the spell kit specific to my current needs. It is a very busy story and sometimes you have to wait a while for them to have the time to work with you one on one. But the wait is worth it to get/create the right spell kit. This is my place. Where I feel at home. I have a shop closer to home but it's got bad juju and bad customer service. Sal & company are great. An amazing selection of anything you need. I usually visit another store for my witchy needs. However, it is closed on Sunday's and this one is NOT. Therefore, that is a plus if you are in a dire need of some kind of witch spell or what not. I wanted some stone bracelets (rose quartz and amethyst) to take back home with me. They were not labeled, but the nice woman in the front was able to tell me the name of the stone and what the stone is known for and why. I love this place. The vibe is chill, the knowledge is real, and the passion is present. Nothing about this place feels like a gimmick or an upsell. Questions are always answered throughly and respectfully. Sometimes I pop in just to catch my breath for 5 minutes because, for me, the atmosphere feels so at ease. They always have what I'm looking for whether it be an actual item or two or just a place to calm my brain. I can see where people might think Sal would come off as condescending or rude, but I promise you, he's not. He's just super smart about his field, and that passion may come across as overbearing. Have a meaningful conversation with Sal and you'll realize that he's actually a really cool human. He and Popi balance each other out quite nicely. It is a small but lovely shop. No one really bothers or is pushy and you can look around and shop. I purchased the herbs and such I needed. They were out of a lot of items or just at empty (where there was just dust left). But they did have some items that were a little more difficult to find. The crystals are a little bit on the smaller size than other places but good for mojo (if you are looking for something very specific I would call first) but they have all the usual suspects. The young lady who worked there was quite nice and patient but didn't really know a lot of information. If you go in, I would recommend doing all your research prior to walking into the shop. The shop has a nice selection however the male employee behind the counter was incredibly rude, condescending, and stuck-up. When two ladies came in looking for something and were confused, he said what they were looking for was new age multiple times and that the shop is the wrong store for them. Once they left he made more remarks about them being in the wrong place. My friend also asked a question and he answered in a way that made it seem like everyone should know the answer and she was at fault for not. He seemed to think he was above everyone and also made a comment to the other workers that "as long as people buy stuff it's fine" which gave off more unwelcoming energy. Two years ago, my good friend and I found the crooked path. I was at my lowest point as a Mexican witch. I felt like I didn't belong anywhere. I walked into the crooked path, and it felt like I had found my home! Popi, one of the owners, greeted me with her amazing smile. When I grabbed a Hekate book, she told me they had a temple there. The excitement of knowing I found a place where I can come to, when I need that magical relief, was amazing, and not being judged is just simply awesome.
