I visited their shop when I was failing the plants that I had gotten from them during my company's earth day event. The succulent had gotten mealy bugs, so Tansy kept the plant to treat it. The other one had gotten fungus gnats, so they re-potted it. They not only sell plants, but help nurse any plants you have back to health. They don't just have plants and supplies in their shop, they have lots of other non-plant items that are great as gifts. I also purchased a journal from them. They have a cute coffee cart and outdoor seating area in the front, and have different events they produce. Really building a community around their shop.

I felt like I was transported to a plain of positivity when we entered Stay Home Friend. This store has merchandise from local artists, creators and designers. Books, greeting cards, jewelry, candles and so much more! The cashier was a friendly woman who told us about her brother that's a scuba diver in Florida. I fell in love with the sterling silver Leo earrings. I had to buy them! There were other zodiac signs as well. I might return and buy them for my friends and family as their birthday gifts. We stumbled upon this Yelp listing when searching for bread. How we ended up searching for Bread…read moreis kind of a long story, but we wound up in this little store nonetheless. We were welcomed by the charming owners who were buzzing about trying to care for customers and make bread. A sweet lady asked if it was our first time and proceeded to give us a full blown tour. We spent a good 15 or 20 minutes chatting with her and learning about how bread is made, talking about her life and how she and her husband wound up opening the store. We concluded with taste tests of different products they offer. It was not at all what we expected, and kind of felt like an entire afternoon event rather than just popping into a bakery. By their own admission the bread is expensive, $20 for the standard sourdough loaf - but it is all organic, lovingly crafted and carefully selected to have a process and ingredients that avoid chemicals or preservatives. The bread (and other stuff we bought too) was delicious and it was a very cool place to visit for sure!
