    Randall making shortbread cookies -

How can I not write a super complementary review of this small business in the city of Burbank? The bread is phenomenal and the staff is very knowledgeable and the most friendliest people on the planet. Every time I come here it's like visiting great friends. This shops come a dime a dozen. Thank you Random Acts of Breadness. Your bread has changed my life

Fresh loaves right out of the oven!

LOVE this place! Right here in Burbank. Can't believe we haven't stopped in until this year - they actually opened during the pandemic - sorry it's taken so long to visit - we've been missing out! Husband and wife team, Randall and Cyndie, opened their little bakery specializing in sourdough only a few years ago but they have quite the following now. They are so friendly and passionate about their bread! Randall has been a musician and music engineer for years but one day asked himself "How does one make sourdough bread?" He researched and starting baking bread to give away to friends and family during the holidays and people started saying I want to pay you to bake bread loaves for me and so Random Acts of Breadness was born . When you enter you can't help but smell the freshly baked bread. When we entered this afternoon, fresh loaves were just coming out of the oven and Randall invited us back to the kitchen to see him take the loaves out. Sooooo good. Randall and Cyndi are both very informative about the process of what goes into making their bread (their country loaf takes 3 days to make!) as well as all their vendors who supply the assortment of butters, jams, jellies, tapenades, balsamic and oils. We left with two different loaves, two different muffins, a strawberry pineapple marmalade, a parmigiana tapenade and a French butter. Randall then offered to slice our sourdough loaf on his adjustable slicer from Belgium. They even gave us instruction sheets how to properly freeze and thaw the bread and muffins . This is the epitome of a successful, local small mom and pop business - looking forward to returning and I urge you all to stop by when in Burbank - get some free samples and take home a fresh loaf (they're only open Thursdays-Sundays). Support local businesses like this - its these types of businesses that make our communities unique, fun and strong!

If you're looking for high quality sourdough that's made with love this is the spot! Yes, their products are pricey but once you learn about how much time and care goes into making a loaf, you'll understand. Chef Randall was gracious enough to give us a detailed tour of his kitchen and educate us on the benefits of sourdough. Everytime we've been in, we've been given samples to try! I definitely recommend everyone to try at least once to see for yourself :)

I am so happy I found this hidden gem while walking around on Magnolia Blvd. I was in the area for an event but arrived early so I decided to just walk around and see what shops were here. I stopped in front of this small stop and looked at their window display and saw that they were #1 for bread in Burbank according to Yelp so I knew I had to try it. When I walked inside, there was already 1 other guest in the store and she been there before. She was telling me about their bread and how she's going to travel soon so she wanted to take the bread with her. Patrick was the person helping me and he let me try their 3 different bread sample. It was sourdough, gingerbread and I forgot the last one but I went simple and got the sourdough. Patrick also told me the proper way to store the bread and how to cut it to maintain the freshness. I'm very happy to find this small store and will gladly come back again. It street parking here so if you come early or just lucky then you might find a parking slot at the front of the store.

Fantastic artisan European style slow process sourdough! Loved stopping in and learning so much about the process. Cyndie is a gem!

What a wonderful place! So grateful they care so much about the process and quality ingredients.

Unexpectedly walked into this store and was in total awe. A small but very organized bakery baking just bread. The place smelled amazing. The owners Randall and Cyndie welcomed us and Cyndie gave my husband and I a tour of the bakery while explaining the many steps of making sourdough bread. Currently they bake two kinds. The country loaf and cinnamon raisin. We tried both and purchased two of the cinnamon raisin. It was delicious with butter. They also carry a few good quality products such as olive oil from Ojai, jams, vinegar, etc. They both are very passionate about their work and really enjoy the journey. I love supporting small businesses and wish them all the best. Great experience for all to have. If you are in the area check them out.

Stopped by to check out the new items at the store as it's been a while. Friendly staff. Bought a bag of crisps. It was very good. Enjoyed it with butter spread.

All you have to do is bake it at home. They also have frozen baguettes. I got frozen pastries and I also got some French butter and their selection is massive with different flavors. I typically get this butter at the grove but this place has sooo many varieties. I also picked up Italian flour (to make pizza dough) and canned pizza sauce that they recommended. I picked up some Patata Torres chips as well. Will definitely be back to explore the store more. Definitely worth the visit if you're into cooking and like gourmet foods.

Little Nelly may elicit a Whoa Nelly after your first try…read more I just wrapped up a takeout lunch, snack, and beverage from Little Nelly and felt compelled to work off all the extra calories I just consumed by doing some rapid typing exercise on Yelp. The shop is completely non-descript from the street. The lettering is small and the windows are tinted and you feel like you're about to enter a drab office, but when you open the door, you're treated to a feast for the senses. The space spans a mix of cafe, boutique gift shop, and bodega. Everything feels curated and little discoveries await you for those who are culinary minded. For example, I discovered that they sell frozen burritos from Las Palmas and frozen pizzas from Mozza?! Someone clearly knows their way across the culinary food map of Los Angeles. If you can pry your eyes long enough from wandering the corners of the store, you can finally place your order of breakfast, lunch or coffee/tea. I just took my cold cuts sandwich on house-made ciabatta to the proverbial mattress. The bread had enough structure to handle the piles of quality deli meats, yet was less dense than some other ciabatta breads I've tried. But, it did an admirable job packing in the flavors from the spicy peppers, cheese, meats. Wow. I'm just gonna say that this cold cuts sandwich was one of my top 3 from LA. As I grazed the bakery display, a patron whispered that I should try the biscuit with jam and butter. The guy was wearing Cheetos socks so I immediately felt that his recommendation was trustworthy. I threw in my lot with the biscuit and oh boy, did it (and his recommendation) deliver. Humble looking on the outside, there's a nice salted, buttery crust to the exterior that opens up to an inviting platform to slather on creamy butter and jam. I fully understand why he felt the extra calories were worth it. I'd do it again. Of course, I couldn't order a biscuit without a drink, so I tried their summery limoncello cream iced matcha with oat milk - summers in Kyoto and Sicily combine for a refreshing and satisfyingly creamy bever-"aaage" that adds some pep to your step, even when the mercury pushes past 100. Enjoyed with the biscuit, I was darn near ready to call it a day as I had probably experienced my best moment of the day. Little Nelly is officially on my weekly rotation from here on out.

What I love about it: it's a perfect place to pick up a thoughtful gift for the foodie in your life, and the food is consistently fantastic with something new to try each visit. The display and packaging feel special--even the jars add a cute touch. Recent highlights: I went with the Lil Guy sandwich with French ham and a chocolate chip cookie to-go. So good on the drive home to Orange County. I also grabbed a jar of their buttermilk dressing to save time at home, and I brought home a quiche and a biscuit--both were amazing. They rotate items based on what's in season, which keeps things exciting. Why I'll be back: it's a small business that truly cares about quality and presentation. The location is convenient, the staff are friendly, and there are plenty of tasty items to bring home, including make-at-home pizzas and a rotating seasonal lineup. If you're in the area, definitely stop by Little Nelly. It's a delightful spot with great food, thoughtful gifts, and a memorable neighborhood vibe.

The food deserves its own standing ovation. Chef Jose's philosophy is simple: let exceptional ingredients speak for themselves. His recipes use minimal oil, allowing every herb, vegetable, seafood, and cut of meat to shine with its natural flavor. Every course was beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how incredible everything tasted. Seeing how Palma's team poured their heart into such an important evening made it even more meaningful. If you're looking for a restaurant that offers exceptional food, heartfelt hospitality, and a team that truly cares about creating something special, Palma Ristorante is a place you'll remember long after the meal is over. Thank you to everyone at Palma for giving us a wedding dinner that was even more beautiful than we imagined. We'll always be grateful.
