We were greeted by a young lady but she quickly got overwhelmed, started to work with another couple and soon forgot about us. I didn't blame her she was just a little inexperienced & I was told they were short staffed for a few hours for an issue; I just came back on a week day. Magic Pen and Party is a great boutique to order or custom design your invitations. They have a large selection of invitations (better than most places), however after reviewing books upon books of invitations, I had a hard time finding my wedding colors, pistachio green and orange. I already formed an opinion of the things I liked in invitations, such as fold out with pockets, certain colors & metallic paper. So the associate suggested custom invitations. I worked with both Tiffany and the owner, Mary, depending who was working in the store that day. They are both great, gave undivided attention and had fabulous ideas. They worked with me on the font, size, design, layout, you name it. You can tell they enjoy what they do and seem to like the creativeness and working with people. Needless to say I was a bit high maintenance when it came to my invitations but they were gracious and even stayed late one night to finalize the project. I went ahead and paid for assembly as I had too many other concerns than to assemble them myself but but it was NICE option that I could do it myself and save some money if need be. The result? A fabulous invitation that I absolutely LOVED! The invitations were very unique to me, with a little bling, gorgeous fonts and they stood out on the mail, as I like to have a little flair. ; ) Magic Party and Pen - Great service, great invitations.

I decided to drive a little further from home and I am so very glad I did! (Warehouse price was comparable to the "70% off" big box store.) Eric helped me (he helped me the other times) and he is an excellent framer! His recommendation for mats for our print was superb. I am so pleased with the work he did. I highly encourage you to drive a little further (if that's the case) and get premium work for your framing/mirror, etc. needs. You won't regret it!

Not much has changed... They still sell furniture items that feel unsteady (wobbly) to me. They still have a lot of China made decor, ironically this time for the July 4th holiday...there is something that strikes me as wrong about that, is that just me? The service is good at these places though, they had a large staff who was stocking the shelves. I was asked several times by them if they could assist me with anything. The prices seem high at first, but almost everything has sale tags on them for like 30-50% off.

The machine is now back to me now that it is December 2025, but I do not know if it is fixed, they kept the pedal and power cord, and are refusing to give it back stating I never dropped it off, and there was a notation as such. That is 100% not true, I called and we will see how this issue resolves but for right now this is a headache, and he had a very condescending tone over the phone to put a nasty cherry on this sundae of disappointment. He said he will look for it, but in a placating way that gives me no hope.

So Michaels is my craft store of choice! The store is clean, well lit, and organized. They also have an app that will tell you what aisle things are on, if you already know what you're looking for. They do really good sales and the people are friendly. The only thing I don't like, and everyone is doing it, is the self checkout. You have to have at least one employee manning the self checkout, but no one to actually do it. I hate that.

Ever since they took away the registers and have self service the customer service here has been so…read morebad. I witnessed a worker being rude to an older lady that didn't understand how to use the self service registers the worker told her multiple times and ways that there's not normally people up there to help her so she needs to figure it out. The people working act like it's such an inconvenience to help you at the register which I don't really understand, it's not like they are busy putting merchandise out. I took many pictures so you too can see the magic. They were my favorite part of the shop. There is a great energy in this shop. One that invites people to browse, laugh, and buy.
