The building has a strong automotive history from being a Ford Dealership, a Service Garage, and an Auto Parts store, and today operates as a vendor mall. They have what looked like to be at least 20 or so vendors operating booths in this store. Each carries different things from, clothes, to books, toys, decor, purses/bags, cards, yard art, cooking utensils, and more. The selection is largely geared towards tourists, but locals will find items here as well. It appeared all items were new, so don't mistake this for like an antique mall or craft/artist mall. They items in here are pretty much more widely available, which takes some uniqueness away from the place. Pricing varied but they had items that matched almost all price points. Overall this place is worth a visit and with the variety of items, most can find something here either for themselves or for a gift. It is an easy visit right on Main street and only has two aisles so it won't take a long time to see everything they are offering.

We just stopped in looking for something to keep warm when we had visited the parade of lights downtown. They had stayed open late for all the locals out and about celebrating the festivities (smart!). The staff was very friendly and gave us a price quote on a poncho that had a hidden price tag. When we went to ring it up, we finally found the tag and the employee has misquoted us by ten dollars. She just smiled and said "I'll still give it to you for 39!". Very friendly and willing to please her customers. We mostly visited the front of the shop which seemed to be the "treasure" part of the store. Perhaps the antiques are more at the back end, I didn't really have too much time to look thoroughly. However, there were tons of goodies, trinkets and lots of eclectic gifts (drunk piglet wine holder anyone?) to survey. Definitely a place to take a gander!

Discovering new bookstores during my travels has become a new passion of mine, so when I checked…read morefor indie bookstores in the DFW area, Talking Animals Books was one of the first to pop up. From the few photos and the name, I thought it would be more of a children's bookstore but I was so wrong. As soon as you enter, the amazing staff welcomes you and is eager to help you find any books you are looking for. Right at the entrance they had the fantasy and romance section which is a personal favorite, and I immediately found a couple of books that have been on my list. I absolutely LOVED that they had self published books from indie authors, which is so rare to find at any local bookstore (you usually have to wait for them to be re-published by a publisher to find them anywhere besides Amazon). They also have a children's section which is super cute, and I found a couple of things for my little one. On the top floor they have a couple of couches for you to hang out and a section of used books. Frankly, this was one of the best bookstores I found in the DFW area, and I can't wait to come back and support them!

They have a great selection of the Nora Flemming minis, stoneware, etc. Master of fact, I was just there this week purchasing more of the Nora Flemming stuff for another friend's birthday. They also have a candlemaking class and I definitely plan to check that out and plan a girl's event with my friends. So glad I found this gem of a store and can't wait to go back!

We will see if they give me back the power cord and machine pedal…read more They were insistent I drop it off with the machine back in March 2025 when it was brought in so I had to drive all the way back home to bring them the power cord, and the machine pedal. The machine is now back to me now that it is December 2025, but I do not know if it is fixed, they kept the pedal and power cord, and are refusing to give it back stating I never dropped it off, and there was a notation as such. That is 100% not true, I called and we will see how this issue resolves but for right now this is a headache, and he had a very condescending tone over the phone to put a nasty cherry on this sundae of disappointment. He said he will look for it, but in a placating way that gives me no hope.
