What an awesome store! Seriously, I have to say I liked this store more than all the stores I saw on Main Street. If you are into decorating for the seasons, you need to know about this place. It's almost magical to visit, especially the rooms that have the Department 56 Villages. I did not even know I could be into villages until I saw this place! If you are into brand names in decor, they got a huge selection like Mark Robert's, Michel Design Works, and more. And once again, if you are into the Department 56 Villages, look no farther! This is my favorite store in all of Main Street. I love going in here and seeing all the beautiful decorations during Christmas time. In the back they have a Christmas village that they keep all year around and next to that room they have another room with a spooky Christmas village or Halloween decorations. The main room when you enter have traditional stuff like wine glasses, postcards, candles, jewelry etc. Like I mentioned before Christmas time is my favorite time to visit because they have different Christmas trees decorated of all kinds of colors and even themes. I just go here to enjoy the decorations and don't think I ever bought anything. read more

While browsing at some cute ornaments, I told my friend I was with "aww, I think this one is a pilot" the older brown-ish haired woman at the counnter (old enough to be mother), made two very strange remarks to me. The woman said this: "oh, that's no one you would know. Definitely not in your demographic either" I did not respond because I was shocked the woman felt compelled to say something so unnecessary. I'm a 3rd generation Texan and my grandfather served in the Army and Navy as an aircraft mechanic. Yesterday was a Dream Day! My Dear Friend & I took a road trip to Grapevine to checkout the Gem on Main Street in Grapevine, Good Things for All Seasons!!!!! They did not disappoint! After talking to Leslie on the phone about the Old World Christmas Ornaments, I decided it was worth the trip to check them out in person! Let me just say Leslie was so gracious & friendly on the phone & even more so in person. We also met Debbie who was a doll & helpful as well. This store is too adorable to miss! Such a delight & treat. The wall of OWC ornaments has over 850 ornaments! And some of the ones they carry are not available on the OWC website, hence our trip. I was able to find some one of a kind ornaments that fit the personalities of many of my dearest friends & family. Pure Joy! Best customer service I have ever received. Leslie even offered suggestions on where to eat lunch. Can't wait to shop again! Definitely will make another trip soon! read more

Very rude management and hateful. Was one of our favorite stores to shop in but will never step foot in it again. Trying to get my mother to pay for an ornament that was put in the wrong place and it accidentally broke, who puts and ornament on the end Of an aisle where people walk to see an exhibit, next to greeting cards is beyond me, and when I questioned the issue, the manager was very rude and hateful. Having worked in a store similar to this, I was blown away by the types of unique items they have for all holiday seasons. I predominately shop here during the Halloween month, so I can't review this location for much beyond that BUT they sure do deserve every one of these four stars. It's like a you're going on a treasure hunt and have no idea what you'll find. Two years in a row I have made this my Halloween decor destination shop and each time I've gone the items they offer are different and so cool. I am slowly but sure collecting pieces from their storefront to decorate my living room. :) Leave your drinks outside and walk into the coolest little shop off the strip! In the back they house an plethora of light-up villages that my mom always collected during the Christmas time and there are even some with a Halloween theme! We have been shopping here for the past 6 years and have always been treated decent. Tonight was very different. I've never had a level of disrespect for a locally owned store for asking a basic question. The employee explained that a garden flag they were selling help support law enforcement. We asked was what law enforcement memorial the flag supported and she didn't know the answer and was very rude. We still bought three of the flags and after we left she started talking trash to another employee in front of one of our friends still inside the store. So we returned the purchase and instead of being nice her reply was get out. read more

If you're browsing and doing some shopping through historic downtown Grapevine, make sure you take the time to swing through this adorable shop! They do everything with just a little extra love here. You must go to the back and take a look at the Christmas ornaments and especially the little train exhibit. Freaking incredible. It's something even the kids would love! They have the caricatures from Frozen and all kinds of fun themed stuff. Make sure you check out the Halloween village too as they have some neat goodies if you like to decorate for fall. I would give 4 stars for how neat the store is..it's decorated with things that are unique for the holidays...they had skeletons on the roof of the store that lures you in. When I walked in there was a huge but beautiful wicked witch.. We were walking downtown and my kids saw this place so we decided to come in. Immediately when we walked in with our well behaved kids we got the stink eye from the owner/employees. Don't worry folksmy kids don't run rampant in stores and they look with their eyes. We won't hurt your precious decor. We walked around for about 15 minutes and we were still getting stink eyes and side eyes so we left. read more

One of my favorite places in Grapevine. Worth a trip just for their display rooms. This is not a discount store, but the items there are unique, so be prepared to pay accordingly. Okay, this place is incredible!! They are a store that specializes in helping you decorate for any occasion or seasonal holiday. I am continually amazed at how they go all out for every single holiday, even the little ones, despite having such a small storefront. It is located in old town Grapevine, so parking can be quite scarce, although that was not the case when I first moved out here. With all the advertising saying that "Grapevine is the Christmas capital of Texas", downtown Grapevine has become pretty crowded in general. However, I'm sure they are giddy to have the business. They always create astonishingly beautiful storefront windows. I was there a week ago and words cannot describe how awesome their window is this year! It's decked out in red and there is a huge Santa Claus on the roof! They carry unique items that you can't find at other decoration stores like Garden Ridge or Hobby Lobby. Good Things for All Seasons carries high quality well-made items, but you pay a pretty penny for it. Although I like what they carry, I think they could stand to lower their prices a bit. You will understand if you visit. They have had the same owner since it has been in business (at least 13 years) and the staff is always willing to help you find the perfect piece that will wow your house-guests at that seasonal party or get together. Not a large store but still manages to strategically fit a ton of merchandise in. A wonderful find for any holiday lover! read more

We weren't greeted or offered help and the clerk barely got off of his stool to ring us up. I asked to use the bathroom and was told they "didn't have one." I've used it in the past. The store has really nice Dept. 56 displays. However, all of that goes out the window when you see the profane language gift items that they sell. The f word was clearly visible to all. My young daughter was with me and she can read. I was so upset that she had those words for her to look at. This is a holiday shop. What is better than a wonderful selection of merchandise, unexpectedly over the top friendly customer service and happy and fun experience ? I can't wait to shop there again. Gifts for everyone at every price. I picked out cards for everyone, humorous and sentimental. The cocktail napkins are easy hostess gifts. I just left this store and will NOT shop here again. The store owner could not have been more rude- and from reading the reviews below this isn't out of character for her! I was shopping for 4th of July decorations and wanted to buy some American flags. I noticed the ones they had (front yard small banner size) were made in China and I decided not to buy them. I very politely mentioned to the owner that I wish their American flags were not made in China! She at first said that she has no control over where the flags were made and when I said that in fact she could choose what products to sell, she said there were no companies in America making flags! Then she asked ME to research where they could find them and I told her it was her business and that I would not do that work for her! She lastly asked "what's the problem with China-made products anyway?" There were other customers in the store during our discussion-- I hope they overheard and left as soon as I did! read more

I took my wife and grandson (age 3) to Grapevine for us to enjoy all the nice Christmas lighting along the main street. We wanted to purchase a Christmas Tree ornament for our grandson as we have from his 1st year. We stopped inside the Good Things For ALL Season Store and found ornaments for our grandchildren. The shop is tight and small with many things .He was very excited and wanted to hold his ornament and a few minutes later, he dropped the ornament. Before we had a chance to even to clean up and explain to our grandson way we need to hold the ornament. The person in charge immediate said don't worry that will cost you only half price. We still went ahead and purchase 2 ornaments and half price for the other. I felt the store ownership was more concern for their profit, than the misfortune of their customers. I deal with the public on a daily bases and I personally would have never made a customer pay for thing that truly was accident and not being reckless. A business accepts and expects but, tries to have has a little as possible of a loss of any form. Am sorry, for the attitude of the ownership but, as for my family and friends.
